Anyone know a source for rotax kick start hubs(not the lever, the piece that clamps on the shaft)? Mine snapped the other day and I have not had much luck finding a replacement. Is Comeca still in business, they were offering them a few months back, but I can't seem to find them on the web now. Help! Thanks ,Jim

Hello New Friends! I am hoping someone can answer some q's for me.. I bought a 320 with no spark. they had the wrong stator coil hooked up to the points first off so I changed it. have spent about 5 hrs so far and not sure about afew things. First. the points are new, I am using a new condenser and have tried 2 coils. I found a thread someone posted about hooking 2 D size batteries together to get 3volts to test with and I was able to get spark but found that the coil will make spark with voltage applied to it. I also was able to get spark from the coil through the points while hand turning the flywheel a few times, thought I…

Hi all , Am going to ride the TL 320 this weekend as was wondering which fuel oil mix to use, as i haven't riiden a twinshock for about 15 years. I will also be running the engine in for the first couple of hours of riding. I was going to use fully synthetic at 50:1 with super unleaded , i have been told to use semi synthetic at 40:1 also with superunleaded as its an older air cooled machine. I am not interested in the different oil brand debate , i just want to know what mix is best. What do you think?

Introducing myself because I've just brought a '82 320. Haven't rode for 20 years, now live in S.Wales so thought I'd buy a bike to do some trail riding before I get too decrepit (I'm 68!) to ride. Used to ride a Ossa MAR, never in comps though. Don't know much about the brand, apart from it's a pretty bike (shallow reason to buy, but you know!). The bike seems good for the price I paid. It's a bit visually challenged, seat vinyl torn, frame paint missing etc., but seems to run well. Has been used in trials, so I think it's ok mechanically. And some questions! Any one any ideas how to wire up the horn electrics on a 320TL 1980's. I have the original horn and there are two spare wires available on the loom. These are coloured yellow and yellow with black stripe. What I really need to know is are these two wires connected directly to the horn or is one of them connected via a switch to earth. Does anybody know where i can get an oversize piston for a TL240 ?

Can anyone help me please, I have just bought an 81 SWM 320. The problem is that the engine and gearbox came in a vaiety of boxes and many different parts. As I have never stripped one of these before I am not sure how to put it back together, has anyone got some exploded diagrams, perhaps on cd-rom that I could use this would be very helpful thanks. Could someone please tell me what this thread size should be, my Jumbo currently has an unsightly M12 x 1.5 hex head bolt and nut fitted which will only screw in about 10 mm before it meets resistance. It's been messed up by a previous owner as the thread in the head looks awful, I would just like to return the thread to what it was originally either by re-tapping or helicoiling and then fitting a suitable socket head bolt to block it off. Hello Please apologise for my bad english! I once heard that top level 320 SWM riders lightened the weight of their magnetic wheel for 0.800 kilos. I just reduced mine for 0.450 kilos, and at first glimpse that gives to me a good feeling: I'm driving much more a trial bike than a tractor. But I'm wondering: must the ignition advance be modified? I understand that on the later Jumbo's the steering head was steeper. Can anyone tell me how much steeper this was than the earlier frames and also how close was this to the current modern bikes? Thanks

I have read through quite a few topics involving my queries, but I have a couple more queries. I have a Gori 200, 1982, I think is the same of the 1978 red / white model ? I have used the bike sparingly over the last 3 year, it's a great bike, but is let down by the clutch action / performance. When using the clutch adjuster via the hole in the clutch case, I cannot prevent either the clutch dragging, or slipping ( in higher gears), is this a common glitch or is it likely the plates are knackered. I was intending on extending the arm, is there a max amount I can get away with, should the extension, be straight? As the clutch is very heavy, what springs do you recomme…

I'm planning a trip next weekend to Moab, Utah, an area with lots of choices of trails, some of them very rough, technical trails with lots of obstacles to challenge a trials bike. I'm trying to determine which trails I can practically expect to ride without running out of fuel, but the TL320 is new to me, and I don't yet know how far I can go on a tank of fuel. How far does YOUR TL320 go on a tankful?

Hi Guys, has anyone knowledge about the early seats on the first gunaco bikes ? My TL 320 Gunaco has a thickly polsterd single seat with SWM Logo in it. I´ve looked for pictures etc. of other ones and they all have the new sort which is much thiner and harder. The bike has following details that can still be read TL / 111179 / 00007 the rest has gone with the years but it must be a quite early one as it has 34 mm forks before they changed to 35 mm. Looking at a picture of the long ride version it seems this had a simular thick seat but was just a bit longer.

Hi all, got a good second hand clutch centre from MartinM (thanks) have put in 3 soft + 3 medium springs along with a 3 way lever Haven't had a proper chance to try it yet but is one finger light, and doesn't seem to slip until 5/6th gear if you drop the clutch. I have removed any ridges on the clutch basket, but read on here somewhere about setting up the adjustment screw on the thrust bearing, but now cant find the info, so would appreciate pointing in the right direction. You guys have been a great source of help amazing me with your SWM knowledge and patience with a rookie like myself to the world of the Italian Speedies, but I have another favour to ask. I believe this TL320 pictured is a 1980....then met a guy yesterday into old twinshocks whom tells me from his memory that a 1980 SWM should be yellow with black frame (tick) but that the frame should have under engine frame tubes intact (ohh), SWM's loosing the lower under engine tubes in 1981...I should add the fella did say that 34 years on his memory could be wrong and that he owned a 1981 Gori, can any one help? I thought Gori's were always a year behind the SWM's so this one pict…
