Gas Gas

  1. Started by dabomb,

Hi all I recently fitted a new clutch on my sons 03 125 pro,the bikes been out about four times since with no probs, but this sunday whilst waiting in the que, with the clutch in ready to go,the clutch began to take up the drive all on its own,so much so that the bike stalled then the clutch wouldnt work at all,no lever pressure also .After a few expletives,i cracked the bike up and clutch was ok.It happened again later on. When i started the bike up this morning, the clutch will not disengage at all, rode around the street trying to free it(like i do with my sherco),but nothing doing. I`ve put dextron 3 in the trans(carlube),and when i had the cover off i didn't mess wi…

Anybody know of anyone who's upgraded their fram from a pre-09 pro to an 09 pro frame? I have a sweet '06 Raga and I'd like to upgrade it but want to know if there are any pitfalls.

Took my hardly used gas gas out yesterday ready for this weekend. The clutch has gone a bit wrong. I have adjusted it right to the limit in order to get it too work, and it now is as though it hits a dead end when pulled in. I think it may need bleeding, but cannot remember how to do this. Can some kind person explain in lamens terms, how to do it, and what fluid is best?

Hi I have been looking for a bike to start trials but nothing much has come up in S,Wales. Ther is a 1999 GG250 which has just surfaced. It is 6 speed with hydraulic clutch. Are there any issues with the older bikes I should be aware of, or should I just wait for a newer model to come along? Thanks

Hi , Picked up my new Gas Gas Randonne'three weeks ago and rode it yesterday in the Bumpy Novice and Beginners trial . Apart from the header pipe being one of the ugliest on the market i.e. cat , mid box and leg guard , I love the little bike . The gearing needs altering and it feels as though it really needs to breath a lot better , any ideas on tuning anybody? Cheers Nick

Hi I took the air box/ subframe off my 2010 txt250 last night and was surprised how loose the fit was between the air box and the carb. The jubilee clip was tightened right up, but it slid right out- almost as if a spacer was not present to give a tight fit. Are these generally like this or shall I aim to improve this fit so it tightens right up? When replacing all and tightening up there is no issue with the carb coming away and the boot sits on fine, just not to a tight tolerance! Thanks for any advice Mil
