The big bloak I am - 250lbs. The shop in the US only has a 250i left available for 2015. Coming off a 2012 280i; should I have a concern with the new bike being under powered? My current track/ trail bikes are a 2012 300xc and a 2015 350exc six days. Lewisport says the power loss is minimal and most riders over seas prefer the 250's? Any experience with both the 250i and 280i power performance/ comparison would be greatly appreciated!!

I got a 2015 ossa explorer any idea where I could get a fuel injector? Any help is appreciated thanks in advance

  3. Hi Folks! My Explorer ran out of fuel on a 10mile road trip at about 45mph. After hearing a strange sound I immediately pulled the clutch and the engine stopped. After refueling I noticed that compression is lower than it was before but still present. I am worried that the piston seized as the engine doesn't start any more. Any ideas what I can look at before I start dismantling the whole engine? Thanks! Felix

Well, I heard another rumor that OSSA may be back before next winter with 2018 bikes! of course, it is always 'we will see' but this one seems it could have a bit more truth than some. Anyone heard anything lately? Mark

Hello All, Recently rebuilt my engine, but I can't find neutral. Can change through the box using the kick-start, but it's always in gear. Any ideas? Thanks.

With reference to an earlier post on here about a broken threaded boss on the right side engine casing on a 250 Mar, I have the same problem on mine. Upon further inspection I noticed the hole for the thread was a further 10mm deeper from where it was broken off. Using an M6 machine tap I managed to tap the hole to the bottom giving more than enough length and strength for an M6 countersink bolt. The only problem I'll have now is sourcing a bolt long enough! Site won't let me send pic as over 2mb big. Can this be changed or is there something I need to do? I've sent pics before no bother.

Hey everybody, I've been searching for the right flywheel puller for a few days now. I need to pull the flywheel off of my 1972 Ossa 250 MAR. Im pretty sure that the thread is 26mm but i have no clue what the pitch is. Does anybody know where I can get a flywheel puller for this bike?

Hello everybody, could someone please tell me lengths of spokes I need front and back for a 1975 250 MAR? I know I can buy them off the shelf from in motion but don't want the expense of stainless steel . Best regards, Colin.

Hi What is the correct timing for the stator on a 250 MAR? The flyer manual I have (250 and 175 engines) mentions "Plonker, Pioneer and Stilleto" which of these should I reference for working on a MAR? regards Gordy

Planning on replacing all the bushings of the linkage suspension of my 2013 Explorer. I can only find a 2012 Explorer parts manual. Are all the bushings the same between 2012 and 2013 Explorers? Or should I use the part numbers from the 2013 TR280i parts manual. I compared the p/ns between the 2013 TR and 2012 Explorer and couple of the bushings p/ns are different. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I bought a 2014 OSSA Explorer new as soon as that year was avliable. I’ve been riding the heck out of it ever since, some trials, mostly trails. Even some road. I have almost 400 hours on it, so I decided I’d better pop the cylinder off and check out the piston/rings/cylinder. (I also suspected I may have a head ‘O’ ring leaking a little). I couldnt’ believe how good it looked. I’ve seen 2-strokes with 40 hours look way worse. Hone marks still clean in the cylinder, no scoring, just a bit of ‘staining’. The piston looks great, a little blow by on the sides, none on the thrust faces at all. I have not measured the ring end gaps yet. The rings seemed to be a bi…

I recently bought a 2013 Ossa 280i. It's better than I ever hoped it could be. Lovely to ride, and lovely to look at. I'm not even having any trouble starting it! I'm a relative novice to trials, and my previous bike had no clickers to adjust the damping front or back. So now I have this wonderful top end suspension, but not a clue how to set it up. And as you probably know, adjusting the Ohlins shock is a little more involved than just reaching down and twisting a clicker. So some guidance on some initial settings would be much appreciated. If it helps, I weigh about 68kg.

I’m working on fitting an electric pump to 2014 Explorer (mine in past, now sold). I’m not certainly which way the coolant flows in the OSSA original setup. Toward the top of the radiator? Or the other way?

Hi, heard all sorts of yays and nays about the 280. Has anyone lived with one (or two) and decided to keep with the marque ? Good and bad points , pref from owners ! Its near the top of my list. Over 50s clubman level rider.

Anybody else having troubles with your lights? My front light lasted about 20 minuets , the rear about 2 hours. They will both flicker on occasionally , it's in the LED it's self , power at the plug is steady. Have they fixed/updated them ?

  20. My OSSA 280i is close to 100 hours up after two years, which is not high usage. I change the oil religiously and keep the bike in primo order but I do notice that there's a very weird low rumbly whine coming from the left side of the crankcase when under load in taller gears. This is disconcerting and I'd like to know if its fixable? It is not present all the time but most noticeable when the torque is loaded, perhaps its the lower e=rev range which enables me to hear it, or perhaps it disappears at higher revs, Any thoughts?
