Trials Gear

Well my water proof inner sock boot liner things are starting to smell, and as they are water proof i dont fancy throwing them in the washing machine and for them to come out not water proof! Ive tried handwashing but im either no good at it or not doing it right as they arent much fresher Any tips? Thanks

Any advise on good gear to protect the shoulders, arms, chest and back? I have been using a Motocross chest protector, which is very restrictive, hot and clunky to move around in. Would prefer some downhill mountain bike gear but don't want the full suit gear. G-Form has some cool technology for their pads, which when hit, stiffen up to protect you, then go back to a more plyable state after...all on a mositer wicking shirt. Anybody thry these for Trials? Is there any shops in Manchester that sell trials gear?

I'd like to set up a small paint ball tank to fill my tires while on the road. Would carry the kit in my back pack. I purchased an adapter sold on Ebay that will allow you to get from the fitting on these tanks to a standard 1/8 NPT female threaded hole. From there you can add a gauge, quick disconnect, etc. I have some questions and am hoping perhaps someone has done this already. These tanks can hold many hundred of PSI's but my garage compressor is only good for around 120psi. If I'm using, say a 20 oz tank, would filling it up until I reach 120 give me enough air to top off most trials tires? That is, bring them from around 4 to 6 psi up to 16 or 18 psi for street…

any feedback on tcx terrian 2 trials boots they look the mutts nuts any good?

So trials pants appear to be sized using S, M, L, etc. I haven't a clue where I fit in the range, since it's (presumably) all relative. And since I cannot try anything on (there isn't a place that sells trials clothing within multiple hours of me) I need some help on what size to order. Height: 5'10" / 1.8 meters Weight: 140lbs / 10 stone / 63 kilos Any suggestions?

Morning guys Im one of those riders that walks through all water sections looking/feeling for unseen obstacles, while the smarter guys watch and keep their boots dry. How do you guys dry your boots out? I hang my boots up outside but it takes close on a week to dry out completely. Any blower devices you guys have built that I could look at (pics) or other tips? I'm getting frustrated with boots... I've been riding in my motocross boots (Gaerne SG10's) which are great boots, and they don't really bother me much to ride trials in, but obviously walking around they aren't fantastic, as they weight about 5000 pounds each. So I ordered a pair of Sidi Trial Zero boots. They ended up being big, so I sent them back, and as I'd had better luck with Alpinestars in the past, I ordered some No Stops. They're the right size as far as length goes, but they're awfully tight on the top of the foot and the ankle... they remind me of the ice skates I hated to wear as a kid. I noticed a Japanese rider wearing boots just like the works riders, with the stitched on sole, so are they the new 2014 boot we can buy. I need a new pair soon (mine are getting a bit tired) and would rather wait for a new version if there is one.

do we need one? There isn't anything in the handbook but i have noticed some new helmets have them on and others don't. One which doesn't being my new Airoh which i got at christmas.

I have been looking at getting some trousers for riding in. I don't really fancy forking out loads of money on the dedicated trials trousers, plus I'm not into all the colours, so wondered if any of you guys might have some tips for trousers? ...army surplus? I have a Clice soft shell jacket which was bought a couple of years ago but since I only ride occasionally (unfortunately due to work commitments) it has probably only been worn and subsequently washed no more than a dozen times. The problem is the zipped parts are not stitched to the coat but heat sealed which has now come apart from the shell in several areas. Has anyone else had this problem if so what did you do to fix it. Since it is more than a year old I have tried contacting Clice directly via their website and have just been ignored. For the price paid I would have thought it should have stood up to a lot more hard work than I have given it. The after sales …

Hi everyone just received pair of black sidi zero boots, any tips on keeping them black and shiny, I polish and dubbing my diadora's but seems this not an option for preserving the sidis

Looking for some new gloves just wondering which are the softest as after a days riding on my thumb nuckle tends to rub on the hebo gloves iv got but its made out of the rough material. Just wondering if anyone knows what the jitsie, mots or even normal gas gas gloves are like, obviously wont be as hard wearing if soft/thinner but id rather be comfortable. Cheers

Hi All, my Gaerne Balance "waterproof" boots are now letting in water. They are about 18mths old and I've treated them with Gaerne polish after every event but I think the issue is the folding membrane possibly at its base where the fold tucks are really tight. This has probably been discussed time and time again but I would like to ask the community if anyone knows if its possible to get hold of early 80's Fantic Motor style clothing preferably Brema.
