I have purchased a 1980s Cota 200 There is only one drain plug ( on the gearbox side ) So do I take it the oil is common to the gearbox AND clutch/primary side ? I have seen various oils mentioned 10/20 10/40 etc but I have a supply of 5/30 would this be suitable The bike will have VERY light use as I will not be competing very much !

  8. I'm finding the clutch a little unforgiving for a learner such as myself and was wondering if a master cylinder with a smaller piston would expand the current on/off clutch action into something a little more friendly. It's an AJP MC.

Going to look at a '00 315R soon and was wondering if there are any things that I should look out for that might show signs that the bike is in need of a large amount of dollars spending or has been poorly maintained. Thanks in advance. Barney

Hey all I am going to look at a used 2006 Repsol 4rt tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone knew what to look out for when buying the bike apart from the normal bits and pieces. What price should I be looking to pay for a 4rt in good condition? Also is there any components I should replace with after market ones? Thanks in advance Scott

Hi Guys I think I have set my heart on the Montesa 315. I am only coming back to Trials after a 30 year lay off. The bikes have changed so much. I had a go on a mates 315 and loved it, he has lowered the gearing which he suggested that I should do if I got one and also added the slow throttle.. I think his gearing is 10 -42. What should I look out for when looking at second hand used 315R, I'm thinking about one from say 2001 - 2003. I have seen a 2001 on the net , nice looking condition from a dealer at

  19. Started by sir dabs alot,

Just picked up these two Cora 123s and trying to figure out what year model each are. One has a white frame and the other has more of a battle ship or dove gray frame. Other than that I don't see a lot that differenciates the two. I'm thinking the white framed one is a 1972 model.

Just finished fitting my dual map programmable throttle body (turned out to be a nightmare to get to, air box off, exhaust off, injector out), and sorted out a few other issues with the bike! And hallelujah it started! (not quite sure why I'm so surprised, it is a Honda after all) but yeah it was a big achievement for me (first bike I've had to look after myself and only done oil and filter changes so far-young lad) Problem is, I don't know what to do next, I miss having something to work on! Any little mods like the removal of the tip sensor the I can do? Also on little bit of a campaign to get the weight down a bit (not because I think it'll make me a better ride…
