Tweaked my exhaust in a loop out. Have been trying to locate an OEM one but seems that the US has been/is on an extended backorder. Anyone happen to know where I might find one? Thanks in advance. Mark

Good morning. I'm sorry if something is not understood well since you are using a translator. I wanted to ask, my 301 has come with all the electrical installation and homologation kit installed. I'm removing everything that's left over. The motorcycle comes with a lot of electrical installations and looking at the manual that was dismantled, there are two installations that I could theoretically eliminate since they are for elements of the approved version. specifically parts 28 and 29. Has anyone removed them? is it complicated? Extracting the deposit I am not able to differentiate them from the main installation.

Hello, Are there companies making a racing wire loom? I know future used to make a very minimalistic wire loom for 4rt's but they are no longer doing that ? What can be taken off the bike ? i have seen some monts where a lot of those rubber tubes and catch tank and other stuff have been taken off so you get some space to work on the engine . Found this shed find yesterday, a mid 80's 304 Montesa I was told, But are they worthy !!! Anyone rate these as a project ?? Owner was / is open to offers , but what would be a reasonable price, it is on the cusp re eligibility for any class , apart from our mis matched Historics class here in SA

got a cota 311 today, first trials bike ever but looks sweet, i have had a quick search of the forum but couldnt find any info does anybody know where to get a workshop manual for the 311, have seen them for the 315, are the 315's much different to the 311's? bike had previously been standing for 6 months, which is what i suspect the sicky clutch to be from. are there any common faults i should look out for? help is much appreciated thanks, GL1

I have Montesa Cota 311. Went to change transmission oil and cannot find the drain plug. Removing case bolt (like I do on my 315R) has no effect (no oil comes out). Any suggestions gratefully accepted. Thanks

Hi, Mentioned in my other thread but nobody seemed to answer so I thought I'd make another one with a specific title... As the title says, I'm looking for a flywheel puller for my 314. I managed to find one but the thread sizes are wrong. I need a 1.5L x 32mm puller so if anybody knows where to get one (or has one I can borrow with a deposit of course) then it would be much appreciated. Laurence

Having thought that I would see if I could have a go since I have retired! I thought that I would buy a cheapie first rather than waste too much cash. Picked up a 94 314r for reasonable money, it needs some tlc, but wherever I look I can hardly find any info on it. Obviously I should have paid a bit more and bought a 315, everything is plentyful. Does anyone know where I could find any manuals handbook or literature? or indeed a supply of parts.

Hi all, My 1998 315 has appears to be somewhat sickly. I'm struggling to get it to idle without setting the tickover very high. At low revs it's constantly surging, at a rate of about 1 surge per second. It revs up nicely, but when you shut the throttle is takes an age for the revs to drop (several seconds), and it surges on the way down. I think it may be running quite hot too. It's had these problems for a while, but they've been getting steadily worse. I took the carb off the other day and gave it a good clean - now the problems are worse than ever. It's so bad now I had to borrow my mate's beta to ride a trial today! Anyone got any ideas on what might be wron…

Managed to have my first breakage this evening and I need a new front brake lever. I can't find any online that either seem to be specifically for the 315 or for the Grimeca Master cylinder. Can I just order any old lever or do I need to get in touch with sandifords for a proper one? Ta.

I've got a 04 315, its a sweet bike but always been in need of a bit of work. So i thought i spend a bit of money and sort her out. She's got new wheel and supention bearings bash guard and exhaust. The problem is that after all the time and money she's running like s**t. The new exhaust sounds great at idle and low revs but knocks really badly from halfway up to full revs. I told that this is because its running lean. The tip i was given was to raise the jet needle in the carb up a notch. When i tried this i found the needle is already at it highest setting (the pin is at the slot furthest down the shaft) What else can i try to sort this out? The bike never used to have…

Well i've been thinking about changing to Montesa lately, and specificaly a 315. Just a few questions though first if you don't mind? Were there any significant changes made to the 315 in the years it was produced/ And, seen as they are getting on a bit, are there any good mods/improvements or upgrades that you would recomend?
