So with Pidcocks retiring from the role any news on who is next in line? Presumably spares etc can still be ordered from Caroline Sandiford can they?

I need to replace the front forks on my TLR200 with something other than spagetti. Everyone says to get forks from a TY mono, unfortunately, around here, they are hard to come by. There is a 82 Monty Cota 200 front end - are these forks any good? Better than the TY mono? thanks

Has anyone got any good info in the nine spring 242 clutch, the drawing is a little confusing, the 3mm spacer that sits in the castellated drive that goes into the back of the clutch looks to have another shim on the top of that, mine did not have one when I stripped it

Does the MH 200 (orange) have round fork bottoms or the more square shape. The one I have has round bottoms with no pinch bolt ,but they feel really nice and smooth with no marks on stations.

can any one tell me the pros and cons of removing/ leaving in the exhaust restrictors on the 4rt. i have read somewhere that when riding standard bikes the team riders remove the one out of the front of the middle box. i had a look at mine, thought i would try it for a ride, and couldnt get it out. how do you get it out without damaging anything. is it worth it.

this is a question to all 4rt owners ,do you think the mont feels heavier when you get in a bit of trouble in a section than other bikes youve rode, see thing is i really want 4rt but at every trial ive been to ive hardly seen any monts let alone 4rt ,it seems round here gas gas is the most popular but then people say they fall to bits after a year same with the sherco ,so why do you think the monts arent so popular seeing as there meant to be bullet proof, surely if its a weight thing montesa could shave a bit of weight off,i dont know just seems a shame you hardly see any or maybe its just down here in devon , at the moment im riding beta 200 which im trying to like i me…

I have just bought a Montesa Cota 123 (M28) and I,m after some info on, spares and servicing. Where can I get hold of a manual (Haynes, owners, etc) if possible. Spares, the bike has been stood for some years but after cleaning the carb, draining the fuel tank and fitting a new plug she fired up and everything seems to work OK. But I would like to give it a thorough service so gaskets, oil types and quantities are required as well as a few cosmetic items (rear brake pedal, seat/tank unit rubber stays, slow action throttle, grips, cables and carb kit) I live in the Gloucester area. Any advice and/or tips are much appreciated. John

hi all i hope this will be a quick fix...? you know when somethings not right well first i start the bike and it takes 2 kicks instead of one then it does not seem to tickover like it used to ie slower but that gets better when its warm the main issue is that it starts spluttering and wont rev out and i get a little smoke and flame out the exhaust as its trying to rev out ,hoping this is effects of unburnt fuel has anyone had same problem and could it be just a new spark plug even thou the one in is two trials old... any advice will be greatly recieved..... its a 2008 4rt repsol

  20. Started by smee hee,

i was wondering if anyone could give me a ball park figure for a 99 and 01 315, the reason i ask is there is a 315 local to me but the bloke doesnt know much about them and was sold it as a 01 but it may be a 99 looking at the pics as it doesnt have the rainbow effect on the forks. its not on my door step so i cant just popover to check but he is keen to sell and it looks well whatever the year, few niggles with it but that is meant to be reflected in the price for a 01 but dont want to pay that for a 99 (or potentially older) model cheers
