    Tlr Hot

A good quick check, is run the motor then spray WD40, carb cleaner, or anyting exept paint, at the carb joint, and see if the revs change, fluid willseal the joint temporarily. and if you use something like carb cleaner it may increase revs .... up or down is a bad thing..
  2. The only way to practice Trials is ride them. you can learn obstacles easy enough, but staying in the flags is different. Ride the easyest rout, thats what its for. I know plenty of superb riders, who will tackle any step, drop, climb, without hesitation, but put them in a section, and bingo, my mum could beat them.. HAVE FUN..
  3. A see saw, is a fun to ride, easy to make obstacle, with just black lines sprayed on it, so you have to stop when it drops down. stop is the only option inside. ps think you may call a see saw a teeter totter??
  4. Maybe you have chosen the wrong sport?? Trick riding can be very rewarding, circuis style, or FMX , big money big thrills, alsorts of balancing acts, If you love trials just so you can go backwards, i dont get it. The skill of Trials is picking a line and riding the section, but each to his own. WTC is so far removed from what most people ride, and way beyond all but 10/20 riders skill level, if thats the future, who wants it???
  5. We are lucky enough, "In the west country" to regularly hit three figure entrys, with 12 fully observed sections, normal club trials are around the 50 rider mark. Canada seems to have the perfect land availability, but your population is a bit sparse, so observing is the problem, but if you all agree, what difference do rules and regs make??? we have been having rule issues for years. Trials were traditionally No Stop, that was the whole point of them. Why re-invent the wheel... But as you say Have Fun,
  6. Ask Adam Raga, in all fairness,he was starting to become a distant second (or even lower finisher), WTC brings in no stop, and bingo, he is right on bou's tail, even beating him. This has to be good for trials. If I am not mistaken, all the rounds of this years champs had bigger entry's. (still to small to be a real champs). At our trials, we would not even give a 5 to a really wobbly beginer, even if his dad holds the rear fender and pushes him through. but stopping is stopping. If its a class winning ride/rider, be brutal, you have to find away to put a fag papper between some of them anyway. But joe soap, use your observing skill, if its a momentary wobbly stop, to re gain ballance/line, Ok, but if its a stop, especially as some of them put there foot down when stopped, its a 5, always was always will be.
  7. No stop trials bring bigger entrys, that is a fact, so what if rossi turns up, at least it would be good to watch, if you stop and your young??? learn not to, (not been regular on here for ages, and I see dabster is still opposite everyone????) that is and always was the point of trials, not stopping.. surely a young lad who cant hop and gets a five is equally dissapointed. just learn to ride, not trick ride. IMHO of course.
  8. Is there an English translation for this?????
  9. Seen several of the 4t ones at LDT's, and i guess the dimensions are simmilar, think it is all about wheelbase. the baned bikes are all one day trials bikes with seats.
  10. Because Dougie is 6'3" and Grimbo is 5'11" simple
  11. Anyone actually got/ridden one???? I am thinking of a new LDT, Trail bike , and like the Idea, but my local super store (Bristol), nudge nudge, wink wink!!!! say if I even want to see one, I have to put a deposit on, ass they are going straight out??? But as allways KTM drip feed them for the first half of the year , then knock a grand off to try and shift them at the end...

    Ty250 Carb

Start at factory standard, and tune from there,
  13. Sorry for the delay, no computer for ages. The piston seems to have more work than the barrel????, but to be honest I was in such a rush to get it all together I did not measure anything...
  14. Machine the old clamps off and start again, I have an extra 40mm rise on all my trialers, (broken kneck in a road bike crash, sofind it difficult to look up) and all have 6" Renthals..
  15. had the lucky fortune to aquire a full Birkett barrel and piston, YAHOO,, You can see why that boy has been in the buisness for so long, Fantastic improvement in all aspects..... Happy bunny.
  16. Fantastic Trial yet again... Thanks.

    Castrol R ?

You are missing the point, not using in a 2t for pre mix..... no box oil would of been in the pw , its a 2t?????? I am talking about the engine/ clutch, gearbox. not in pre mix for a 2t

    Castrol R ?

My Tiger cub, 3ta, 5ta and T100, all ran/run on it, the only time I change it is when it burns (takes on a sooty colour). Have never really seen the gummed up mess, some of you talk about. My concern was more with clutch performance issues. I LOVE THE SMELL!!!!!!

    Castrol R ?

Is there any reason "NOT" to use castrol R in a unit motor with a fiber clutch, I have heard loads of different conflicting thoughts. Does anyone actually use it, It will be in a Honda single ?????
  21. Anyone fitted one of those nice looking fiberglass covers on there Mono Yam??? Two things, Fit???, Quality, do they take a knockor two.
  22. Or just buy a A/C mono, they are still cheap, and good fun.

    Mot Exempt.

An MOT is officialy only in efect while it is being carried out. when you leave the station ,it is "YOUR" responcibillity to keep your vehicle in a safe roadworthy condition. Your Insurance will also state that, along the lines of driving with a known fault will void your cover.
  24. Update, The bike is running even better now, after removing the fuel tap, there was an over long reserve tube, and lots of residue on the tap filter, tube removed, filter cleaned, in-line filter fitted (to get some fuel volume near the needle valve). This seems to of done the trick, the bike often felt like it was slightly bogging, almost like a fuel starvation thing. I ran out of petrol in a section again last week, even though there seemed to be over a third of a tank on board, so took it all apart, it was a brand new fuel tap, now it has been modded it seems to have a greater flow. Fingers crossed.
  25. problem starting is normally only an issue with a "HOT" motor, But my 06 4rt has never missed a beat (touch wood). glad you are sorted
