  1. RLracer I sent you an email, through this website/forum thing, I wonder if you got it. if you didn't I said find them boots, bring em with ya!
  2. I have googled and searched hi and low, for pics or info about that Amigo, so bring pics with you hensley, or post one . No, I have an 80cc TY Yamaha I need to sell as well, we just aquired a 200 txt for the boy, while in Texas. Im just curious, as heck.
  3. So who all is going? http://www.neott.com/ or http://www.centralregional.com/ Ill be heading that way by noon on friday. Look for KS plates (and AVTA stickers) Im wondering, since T-Ahvela is gone home, is anyone else (pros or such riders) going to be there? PS... always looking for good used equipment, right now I need to find boots. looking for 10.5 -11 boots... 2 pairs, to help get some beginners involved and protected.
  4. Tommi, How soon you leaving? Dad got to meet and watch you in Texas, I didnt get to go this year as I had more or less planned since 02, injury... oh well... someday. I dont suppose your going to be (or was going to be) at the Oklahoma event (another session in the Central regional trials like texas was)? Gongrats on the job. I need a job in the trials and motorcycle industry, think they could use a networking /pc technician and a strugglin but more or less full time trials promoter?
  5. "What are we doing wrong????" It isn't us, trials is about the neatest "motorsport" in the world! Heck, over half of it I would say, is the availability of bikes. Add to that the fact that Trials really is Niche sport, with sport specific single purpose bikes... without seats I might add. but the availability of bikes, especially for kids is still a big problem. IMHO another thing that might help, maybe all trials bikes should come like the "long-ride" kit that Scorpa's had, but that way as the default. Sad truth is, that almost everyone that I have ever had "give trials a try" has loved it, especially if they are under 15, and over 28. Half of it too is that you look at the old 75 Yamaha TY, and I know it would easily get you a win in Novice classes. But the new guy takes that yamaha, and will continually think he's being beat by a "newer bike," it is a syndrome that is hard to treat without $$ or a real appreaciation of skills involved. PS I get a LOT of rasberrys about my "Girls Bike" from my brother, and guys like my "Next Trials convert" that Iam working on, he thinks he a motocrosser & roadracer... he's getting near to the end of the exclusion group I mentioned, so I'll have him on trials bike, by this next year... I think.
  6. Thanks! well dang it, it is in Cali I guess, and I cannot see affording to ship it from that far away...
  7. No doubt! Like I said, thought I better ask
  8. Elkay! You riding, driving or flying? I could use help getting I bike I would like to buy from out there, if you come back through the middle of the USA? (No I dont know where your from or if any of this would be possible) Im right off I-70 in Kansas... but thought I would ask on the OFF CHANCE you might have room or something. bike is actually near to LA, but I might have a person who could get it closer to SanDiego (in Escondido). My email is stingre&yahoo.com if you have room. Replace the "&" with the "@" of course ... thanks.
  9. Hey guys n gals... I just saw this add at motosoup, didnt give a location but lets pretend that it was close enough for me to pickup, say for 1000-1200 dollars US. 94' Beta Techno in great shape, usual scratches, almost new 280 top end and new clutch, o-rings and seals ...runs great what about these beta's do I need to: 1. worry about 2. be sure to look at, or ask about any weak spots? I'm trying to get a buddy started, he's riding good and in a year I expect to see him winning in the novice class. also looking for a bike for his 12 year old son, who will be beating most the novices within 1/2 year (he's got some natural ability) help me out here... Im in Kansas.

  13. Have you tried Mink Oil on these? I pu good oldfashined mink oil (paste form) all around where sole meets leather, keeps most of the water out. I usually go ahead and treat the whole boot once, right out of the box. after 2 rides they dont look "wet" like they will after you Mink them babees LOL
  14. Hey all, Might I humbly suggest that you include people doing beginner classes on existing "dirt bikes" in these videos. let them know that it is possible to "start out" and have a lot more fun than those "races" where in my experience, is not nearly as openly friendly... (even if you have to borrow an enduro, just to film some). I know race bike riders will be hard to convince but there are a lot of "trail riding enthusiasts" out there too! Trust me when My pop got hooked back in the early 73 or so (RMTA Colorado) he rode a pretty much new, 72 Suzuki 250... Heck he rode it in quite a few trials back then. I think it was Wiltz Wagoner finally convinced pops to get a real trials bike. Lately (within a year)at one of our AVTA events held on "dealer-owned" grounds near Topeka KS, the dealer managed to get, himself and I believe 2 or 3 more guys to give it a go, using of course GASGAS enduro's he'd sold them. Pity that those guys probably hadn't made their 3rd payment yet as in this day and age, as I think at least 2 of them really enjoyed it. just a suggestion...
  15. I sent you email Dbown, Offered to pay you for the cassette or return ship a new one I have? I guesss you never got it? email me from here, the emails work ok from the link provided by TC. thanks got to reinstall that IEspell here at home LOL
  16. WE've GOT TO FIND OUT REPEAT DATE... I have been on a mission, along with my father to make video's available to loan to prospective riders... now that a lot of my friends who liked MX, or just "thumping" around on enduros are getting older, I think the appeal of trials is something I couldn't get most to consider in the past, they seem at least interested... I really think we need to figure out a way to put a Trials "TV schedule" up on the 'homepage' here, and attempt to discover repeat dates... I can help as I search all the time for I support Microsoft products, I know where to search for that stuff, where would I search for Speed's or 2wheel Tuesday stuff? If there are any suggestions on how to find out what episode # and what was aired and when it might be re-aired even if at 3 am, or whatever... problem seems to me with speed & Dish at least there is little info on what the episode is or when it will re air easily found, definitely nothing in the "guide"... ------------------ ***Get IE spell*** http://www.iespell.com/download.php ieSpell is not spyware or adware. It is free for personal use only.
  17. Look at that contraption on the "CAP"???? looks Fool proof, meaning I might have trouble opening it?
  18. LOL FWD doesnt just mean Four Wheel Drive, LOL I quoted although snipped some of it, as I saw it, meaning Front wheel Driven? (Laugh)
  19. Just link to the pics. http://www.traumrouten.com/afm/allradwr/index.html Seems they might have used this setup in the Paris Dakar Rally this year? Sure it would be a few pounds of weight, but can you imagine getting 'limited slip' type of front assist on that rock ledge? The nice part is the "gearing" is set such, that w/o wheel spin the rear wheel provides all thrust as usual, only when a certain amount of slip occurs, the front starts pulling. The edit was because I forgot the link LOL!
  20. T-shock... Yeah, I am too. If they would just shut off the Nintendo for a few... By the way, I been on the lookout for a program that will decoded Gav's rantings.... Seems to be something like a code/compression algorithm? Those sentences seem to suggest that Gav is doing to sentences, win zip and winrar do to files... Har HAr haR Oh, hey!!! I have found an app to check spelling inside of these "boxes" (that we type into, here to post message for example) Here. But please test try at your own risk, Andy nor I shall be held accountable. It looks to be free for personal use, as it seems it pops up to have you read things every few times, but is as cheap as $15 us dollars... I've only just installed it, if you would rather wait, I could tell you more in a few days..
