Bluetooth ECU
Within 5 years bluetooth ecu programming and tuning with efi will become commonplace on new Trials bikes

Bluetooth ECU
It's cheap, give the trials rider it if he wants it..... in time he'll be able to remotely start his bike from the comfort of his van/car and be ready to ride at a trial Pedal cycles have come a long way, now we have ebikes which the rider can 'tune' Why not trials bikes, if it makes the rider happy - he will buy it Who cares if the bloke in the next van beats him on his Pre65 Cub,.............mr modern will have enjoyed his 'trick' bike

Bluetooth ECU
Just like my electric mountain bike.............easy-peasy nowadays
-
Bluetooth ECU
It's not radical though, a bluetooth control to alter the bike's tuning parameter's I have a Specialized eMTB and I can control battery life, power curves, route mapping and the ability to come home with 10% battery power remaining on a set route, by an app on my phone, it also measures distance covered and speeds and if displayed, on the bars......... can give me turn by turn directions All done by bluetooth to control and motor and very smart it is too No reason why Trials bikes can't have fully smart phone app bluetooth controlled ecu's - without spending £100's on PTB on a Mont Should all be on there in the first place......... on bikes costing £5-6000

Beta back brake
Will another brand fit, in terms of rear master cylinder and caliper? Brembo/AJP?
-
Newer VW Caddy or Ford Connect ?
Any glitches? Some Connect's seem to run fine and others have loads of stupid issues, like sensors
-
Newer VW Caddy or Ford Connect ?
Is that a SWB Caddy? The 2 litre? or a Maxi?
-
Newer VW Caddy or Ford Connect ?
Looking to downsize to a smaller van, like a Caddy or Connect? Can you get a bike easily into the SWB Versions of each, with wheel turned Will 2 bikes fit? I am plumping for a 2 litre Caddy, but the new Connect is hard to ignore as it's a lot cheaper Anybody got experience of either brands?

Queuing at Sections.
Indeed, biggest pain is section queuing at a small venue, especially on laps 2 & 3, when you just want to get on
-
Beta back brake
Why is the Beta back brake so bad? Do they use different components from other manufacturers?

Taming a 300??
Yep Tried a 18 Beta 300 yesterday and for me I much preferred the 18 250 I tried at Inch Perfect 's test day Much less intimidating for a Clubman Beta 250 was fab
-
Where are all the entries????
Montesa4Ride - ideal as a base Clubman bike - larger range and good seat.................there you go, job done See.... it can still be achieved

twinshock trials come back ?
I don't disagree When I got my new TY250R Mono in 1985, the world had moved on and twinshocks were lame, in comaprison Fast forward to now and I much prefer modern bikes, however I do have a soft spot for my TYZ - power is usable, suspension is ok and the brakes (with a 4pot AJP) are good I did ride a very good Fantic 240 the other week and it was far from stock and original, much modified - it rode very well...........but was still heavy

4rt oil change
Just got one, can you leave it on then..........to do the filter
-
Easy to kick over
My 4RT is first kick every time - hot or cold..........weird
-
4rt oil change
That's hardly a chore though, unlike taking the 4RT sump guard off, which can be a PITA to get back on again
-
4rt oil change
I agree, it is a flipping palaver
-
Sorpa Sy 250 2 T oil
70:1 should be fine with modern fully synthetic 2T oils Trials bike don't work as hard as KTM's at 40:1 You are over oiling that bike
-
Sorpa Sy 250 2 T oil
Never, I'm mixing at 70:1 on fully synthetic 2T on my TYZ
