Thats what I want to hear

Thanks Andy. You know how it is, If you want to break into a new market, learning how it works to get ahead is essentail
By the way, did you like their stuff?
-
I liked that acoustic version of that number too. In the words of Marty McFly from back to the future, 'I guess you guys aren't ready for that, yet. But you're kids are gonna love it.'
Cheers to everybody thats helped

Hi all,
I wondered if I could kindly ask a favour of you all. I packed in trials to help my son with his music and stuff and he has got a band going called The Emblem - I need to get as many 'hits' or 'views' of his myspace webpage that I can so if you could kindly pay a visit ( or more ) that would be great
The site is http://www.myspace.com/theemblemuk
We have just been in the recording studio and recorded 6 tracks of which 4 songs are on there . You can click on any one of the 4 listed in the player ( as below ) - I would be interested to get some feedback please
Many thanks
Ian

I saw this when it come through to me - Asking me to update my player! I knew instantly it was a virus of some sort. But.. thats a crafty way of getting a trojan onto your computer. I can see so many people falling for this
-
Thanks for info. Those events look like they cost a fortune to do and I always wondered if the money was in it to make it worthwhile. Cheers
-
Just out of interest, did the event do better than break even financially? and would you do one again?
-
Thanks for that info Paul. I found it very interesting.
Cheers
Ian

I just got a trials bike and I reckon there will be a few more getting them - They will almost certainly improve your fitness and motorcycle trials riding ability. They are good fun too
Having the Monty Shop on here is a good thing as hopefully it will encourage more trials riders into it even if its just for fun.
-
Electric bikes are the future - Its only a matter of time
-
Aye, thats his camera perch! ... and how gay are those boots !!!!
-
Thanks for the link.
Getting out of that section looked really hard. Are all the sections as hard as that?
-
Well if its a hillclimb like this.....
Then NO CHANCE
p.s. Now THAT is what you call a Minder!
Right at the end the 'Dougie Lampkin' of hill climbs shows them how its done
-
That was funny for you Spud
-
I first saw Ross at section 6 and I actually thought the way he rode that section (only Dabill beat his score of 1 on the first lap) he had a chance of going to go on and finish in 3rd place. But you know how it is in trials, a few losses of concentration and its all over.
All the 'rest of the pack' seemed to look to be struggling and I don't think any of them were riding to their potential. Some individual superb rides, then some dabs on soft parts of the sections, normally when trying to hold position.
So my summary is Yes, Dibs and Browny are like Bou & Raga in the Brit Champs - the rest whilst still very very good, have a way to go.. but the gap isn't as big as the scores show - Technically, they all look capable of catching them. Lets see shall we
-
Where did you buy that weather from? What a beautiful day it was - Last time I went there 2 years ago it was torrential rain and I couldn't get off the car park!
-
Great day out - Neath put on a good trial and the Expert A & B routes looked to be pretty much spot on. Good move to open up the event like this.
Dibs won a tightly fought trial as Michael was leading by 3 after the first lap - Finally finishing on 12 & 14 respectively.
-
So I take it you weren't in the 49% then
p.s. So what has she done to you to make you hate her so much ? She didnt turn you down for a knee trembler did she ?
-
In 2004, the University of Leeds and Ipsos Mori conducted an online survey of 258 academics who specialised in 20th century British history and/or politics. Maggie came 4th
The BBC television programme The Daily Politics asked viewers (Joe Public) in 2007 to select their favourite Prime Minister. Margaret Thatcher topped the list with 49% of the vote
I think she will get a good respectful send off based on that.

No idea - but if she does, I reckon you will see a HUGE turn out for it.
-
I haven't researched this but that comment I highlighted, looks like she had no choice to be fair. What could anyone say to that?
I don't have the impression that she's 2 faced and in this instance, this looks like there was much more to it than we could possibly know.
-
Are you refering to the Teachers? Their average wage is near 36k ( don't believe its 30k coz it aint) and they are thinking of striking for a 10% wage rise! Jeeez

I admire Cameron’s public speaking skills - no one can touch him . But he doesn't inspire me like Thatcher did.
I have never been inspired by Labour ( except once when I let my guard down and thought Blair could pull it off) I like the concept of socialism but people have been taking the pi$$ out of it and it hasn't been fixed!
I have some friends who have always worked all their lives. They both worked for the same company and juggled baby sitters etc so they could work (they have 3 kids). They were both recently made redundant and now they receive more on benefits than they did when both of them were working! They can't believe it and are completely disillusioned as they had decent positions
-
I think that comment would be regarded today as lazy journalism. Just look at some facts here.
1The dispute began in March 1984, with news that Cortonwood pit near Barnsley was to close - within days, half the country's mineworkers had walked out. Note - Did Thatcher ASK the other miners to stop working?
At the time, there was high unrest amongst some miners that Scragill never called a Ballot.
2But the strike also caused divisions among miners themselves. Some were unhappy that Arthur Scargill had not called a ballot, and Nottinghamshire colliers led moves to set up a breakaway body, the Union of Democratic Miners. Bitterness still exists; in extreme cases, NUM fathers refused to speak to UDM sons.
On Scragill - Lord Tebbit, who was employment secretary at the time of the strike said :-3if the National Union of Mineworkers had had a sensible leader the government could have negotiated a better way of reducing the size of the industry.
There's lots and lots of stuff written of course but I think you will find that History will be kinder to Thatcher than Scargill. The period before this the country was striking all the time. It was crap. The time after this saw a long period of no strikes and people could get on. Just compare the 70's with the 80's - Thatcher transformed the country and its people and gave ( some of us ) hope for the future.
