  1. Dibs I’m pretty sure is half way through a 2 year contract so do they have to buy him out or give him free reign to look elsewhere?surely he’d walk back into beta wouldn’t he , does he like the bike though, I remember a video from 2014 in France where he was really not happy with the performance
  2. He put a video up on instagram of himself and Toni bou practising on Wednesday both on montesas, I thought it would have been announced by now , will dabill stay at gasgas aswell?
  3. They are a strange bunch , I was hoping for abit more too, they seem to be channeling everything through jotagas-italia, what they have put up looks very nice the new 2018 design looks good sadly I don’t think you will see one in this country, haven trialsport where importing them but it looks like they are focusing more on enduro bikes now
  4. Social media has bin abit strange over the past couple of days, Fuji put on Instagram earlier in the week about trying to get a 1-2 for the team in 2018 but then a couple of days later he put. Video up with his ‘two team mates’ practising in Spain , and James dabill has been posting from the gasgas stand at the eicma show , so who knows what’s really going on behind the scenes with contract signings and things
  5. I’d say your looking at a beta 300ss (super smooth) or a trs 280 ,I haven’t ridden a trs but I’ve heard they are very smooth and easy to ride and very easy to maintain, try and have a go on a few bikes and see what you like ,
  6. The other 2 as in fajardo and dabill?if that’s true then I can’t see anything but dabill back on beta and fajardo to gas gas , be a shame for dabill to go back there I think that’s a bad bad move
  7. Gas gas are holding a press conference this afternoon at the eicma Italian bike show so hopefully all will be revealed
  8. Honda racing have released their full off-road team for 2018 and busto isn’t on the list so I would imagine some sort of announcement is imminent , I agree Dabill shouldn’t be on anything but a gas gas he rides it really well but I can’t see that they are going to have fajardo dabill and busto there ,dabill back to vertigo??
  9. I’m sure people said the same about dougie back in the day , Toni won’t reign forever , busto is the only one at the moment who can really start to challenge him soon , his results will start coming in I’m sure , maybe he’s moved to step out of bou’s shadow and go it alone
  10. I’d say judging by the Honda racing post and Fuji’s posts on social media regarding 2018 then busto has definitely gone , I’d say it’s a very bold move indeed if he has , but if he’s shrewd enough he could mould the gas gas around himself and be there next Adam raga , fajardo will get bored again in two years time and move on again , 2018 is shaping up to be a very very interesting year
  11. It’s the eicma show in Italy tomorrow where a lot of new bikes are unveiled and riders announced in different teams etc,so we could possibly find out there, if it’s a Brit it must be jack price or iwan Roberts , I wouldn’t really call either a number one rider though purely for lack of gp class experience ,il take a bet that matteo grattarola will be there man
  12. Sorry to hijack the thread a little bit but whilst we are talking about sag ,i fitted some aftermarket h and d racing linkage plates to my Montesa, they seemvto have taken all the sag out of the back end now because they are slightly bigger, do I need to wind the spring down a bit ?
  13. The question is was Toby half way through a 2 year contract and has jumped ship for what ever reason or was it just a one year deal like his Montesa contract? I wouldn’t bet against him next year on a properly sorted Montesa and I certainly wouldn’t see it as some sort of handicap Riding one rather than the other 2 strokes, only time will tell
  14. Gas gas went bust in 2015 but there was still plenty of lads riding them?dont get me wrong hear I’m not just vertigo bashing personally I think they are brilliant ,they are the only ones to have pushed the boundaries of trials design and the sport needs them(apart from the droopy rear mudguard design which is the worst thing ever) I’m just trying to point out that on the competition side of things they don’t appear to be having much luck holding on to riders ,they need a top 5 rider in both categories that will stick with them and stay loyal
  15. I mean It doesn’t look too rosey as in the fact that apart from now mr casales, there won’t be a single other vertigo in the world championship in any category ,not even any of he privateers are riding one and it seems to me they can’t keep hold of riders either , I don’t know about bike sales in general are they shifting many ?
  16. He’s not in the factory team but I think it’s a factory supplied bike run under the rg banner ,it will be good to see a top rider in the British championship on a mont
  17. So fajardo is supposedly going to gas gas after two years , Toby Martyn has left after one year , who will they bring in to partner casales as a trial 2 runner? Doesn’t look too rosey at vertigo at the minute of you ask me
  18. Big adverts on social media that they will be at eicma bike show In Italy with new 2018 trials enduro and electric models , could be interesting !

    Montesa 4rt

Personally I think the frame needs a re work I think the engine is mega , if you look at other makes they haven’t progressed massively either in the same amount of time , the gas gas pro engine for example is basically the same one that came out in 2002 , yes it’s been improved a lot but the basics are the same and the beta evo engine isn’t a major step forward from the Rev 3 engine , like I said before though both makes frame and suspension set ups have changed and improved a lot and that’s where Montesa need to up their game , but as the old saying goes if it ain’t broke don’t fix it

    The scott

Who looked good today then ??who was first man home ?any of the top boys run into trouble? Best trial in the world gutted I couldn't watch this year !
  21. They never seem to be able to hold on to a rider, i remember when cabestany left in 2004 he was quite vocal at the way hed been treated/supported by beta ,the only options i can see are maybe miquel gelabert or arnau farre , both young and hungry, who knows maybe this year they wont have anyone
  22. The list is endless , arnau farre's gasgas has some sort of strange cooling system fitted where as the coolant is fed through red tubes all over the machine , dabills bike has got the rear brake master cylinder back in the old position by the carb instead of the new integrated brake pedal design on the standard gasgas , raga used to run an electronic water pump on his old gasgas , the factory betas have first gear removed and various internal weights removed , like others have said us normal riders just wouldnt benefit from any of these things ,nice to know what they get up to though ?

    2018

Jorge casales has left beta so hes probably off to vertigo, thart leaves beta with no front runner

    2018

I think it would be bad news for vertigo if he did go and they didnt get a top 5 rider they need someone up there to keep pushing the brand , id like to see cabestany go there , hes gone backwards this year at sherco hes on the downslope now but can still get the results
  25. Jeroni fajardo rumoured to be off to gasgas next year , so vertigo need a new number one rider , if he does go il take a punt on miquel gelabert , anyone else likely to move around??
