  1. I didn’t go but I followed it all live Saturday and Sunday which I think is fantastic , again I can’t say much because I wasn’t there but it looked like the same section repeated 15 times.i truly believe the best venue that they could possibly use in this country is ..hawkstone park! The atmosphere at the world rounds there in 05-08 has never been beaten for me .and in no stop format I think it would be amazing
  2. The 2019 bike will be unveiled at the world round this weekend , I’m guessing if there was any major upgrades or changes they would have made a big fuss over it and unveiled it at the Italian round in a few weeks time instead ,I’m not expecting any more than “bold new graphics”?
  3. Stunning looking bike and that looks to be one hell of a package for the money , jotagas-the secret society ,I wonder if you have to do a secret handshake and a secret knock on the dealers door to buy one
  4. This was a popular thread last year if I remember rightly there was a topic on what the 2018 beta might be with people hoping for an upgrade-gasgas have been using the same engine for 16 years in the pro and the same frame for the past 8 years but I don’t see a topic in that forum with people asking for change so maybe the beta riders aren’t quite happy and change is needed ..
  5. So what’s the deal with the vandal then?? It was looking like a good bike and more of a gas gas rival than the vertical model, cash flow problems maybe, spending too much money developing 2 models so decided to concentrate on one? Who knows ,doesn’t sound good though does it
  6. Vertigo have dropped arnau farre after he got injured in the indoors at the start of the year ,personally I think it’s a s### thing to do!maybe there’s more going on behind the scenes .i hope he finds another team he’s very exciting to watch and has bags of potential
  7. The 2014 bikes where a big leap forward with a new slimmer tank ,more power, I think they where lighter Aswell?the reduced engine braking was also a massive improvement . Since 2014 I think the biggest improvement is on the 2016 onwards bikes that had a new fuel pump which made the bike a lot more powerful
  8. Trust me the 250 2 strokes of the top lads in trial 2 will be a lot more powerful than any 300 you’ve ever ridden, the montesas of Toby Martyn and Gabriel Marcelli are very trick, the frames have been altered and lightened , they run the same exhaust systems as bou and Fuji’s bikes amongst other things
  9. Apparently a completely new chassis for 2018 , oriol noguera Posted a photo on social media of his bike with all the back end blacked out and something in Spanish about a new chassis, I followed his progress in the TrialGPLive app on Sunday and he was going very well p7 at the end of the first lap , on the live broadcasts he seemed to be getting grip where there wasn’t any but the fan appears to be constantly on aswell?, who knows what they’re up to in the factory maybe there are big things to come ?
  10. The top lads don’t ride them because they are hard to get the best out of compared to a 2t ,they take time and patience to get the hang of riding them ,but when you find the sweet spot and it all comes together they are a very rewarding bike to ride and put a smile on your face ,before anyone calls them uncompetitive have a look at John sunter going round the Scott...
  11. So.....anyone bought one yet/seen one at a trial?? I follow border bikes on Facebook and there advertising has been next to nothing
  12. This one makes me cringe every time . All the hay in the world wouldn’t have stopped him string hurt , i think crash mats is a great idea for indoors but would they actually solve anything , a lot of big steps these days are from floor height so you could only put them either side
  13. With the signing of oriol noguera and one of the top Italian riders the whole thing with pibernat not wanting to fund a team to compete at world/Spanish championship has gone out of the window , so what’s going on there arnoux what did you go there for what did you find out ??

    Beta 2019 model

I was suprised that they released a 2018 evo, I’ve heard rumours for a while they they’re developing fuel injection and I believe this is why all the electrics have been moved round on the 2018? Only time will tell
  15. If gasgas where hoping to get back to the front of the field and be regularly challenging podiums in the gp class then I still think they made the right decision with busto , give him time if he comes good he will be unstoppable , he was s### on the indoor scene with montesa so that was never going to change over night ,as for fajardo I just don’t get it , did he come cheap??personally I think he’s a spent penny and his fire is starting to go out , IMO they should have done whatever it takes to get Miguel gelabert from Sherco , that boy is going places
  16. Is he riding world championship or just Spanish championship? He would go well in trial 2 he never really cut it in the gp class , I agree jotagas have obviously found some money from somewhere!
  17. This was streamed live all afternoon by jitsie, what a fantastic effort , good sections and a a good selection of riders ,in my opinion it makes a mockery of the world indoors , has anyone noticed that they’ve used the same sections for the last 3 events now! The same but jumbled up abit and correct me if I’m wrong but you can’t even get live scoring for the x trial now?well done the organisers and well done jitsie for broadcasting it , top job ?
  18. Fajardo was tipped for great things when he first came on the world championship scene back in 03/04 but he had a really bad leg break quite early on which set him Back a fair bit
  19. When you say you’ve been dealing directly with the factory , where exactly is the factory , is it still owned by pibernat or has it moved to Italy???they've got an Italian factory rider and he went very well in the Italian indoor last night
  20. It looks like border bikes have already had 2 batches of bikes this year , priced very competitively at just under 5k so the burning question is ,is there anyone actually buying them??
  21. I agree he just doesn’t look there yet does he , it’s far too early to call yet as to wether he’s made the right choice , had he stayed on at montesa I had him nailed on to win world rounds this year and be at the sharp end but time will certainly tell wether or not he will do the same on gasgas
  22. Border bikes up in Scotland are the new uk importer , their Facebook page sounds very positive ,2018 bikes due in next week with full spares back up , fair play ?
  23. If you stuck bou on a bog standard 300rr and let him set the suspension up to how he wanted he would still win ,no question , the factory repsols are so special because they can be , not because they need to be ,anyone else think cabestanys unveiling vid where he took the Sherco gear off with the beta stuff on underneath was abit ‘up yours’ sherco?
  24. Brilliant news, I think 2018 is going to be a great year for trial gp,we all know that Toni bou will be 2018 champion and raga will probably be runner up but it’s the rest of the field that I find interesting and with nearly every rider in the top 10-12 changing machines it will be good to see who ends up where and how they all get on
