  1. At low revs I agree it sounds awful but pulls better than it sounds.Sounds completely different and better when revving higher.it flattened the climbs in Butser at the BTC

Rear spring wants to be 140mm long with the bike supported under the bash plate and the wheels off the ground Set the damping screw to middle and back both fork adjusters fully out
  3. According to tmx Jack Sheppard has been to the factory and riding in Spain so it appears theyre still going wish theyd put us in the picture very unproffesional and dismissive of their customers
  4. Looks wrong , is there a history of people injured by the normal ones?
  5. Warm the swing arm up,hot enough so you can still touch it and use the sockets method with length of 12mm studding through them. You have to do the nuts up pretty tight but they will come out .Never failed yet
  6. There's nothing local, nearest is Freestyle in Marks Cross near Heathfield which is about an hour away
  7. Bet there's a tiny piece of kickstart gear embedded in one of the gears in the clutch casing .It didn't develop the noise when running but when you started it after working on it it knocked Take the clutch basket off and inspect the gear on the back of it ,the idler gear and crank gearClean all the oil off and use a magnifying glass,a.bit the size of gnats c--k will sound like the motors had it . had this problem 3 times in about 7 years
  8. Main problem is there's nowhere else like Butser and many riders have never ridden anything like and consequently struggled, thankfully it didn't rain It was a bit too hard for most and the nature of the place can be a bit clean or 5.Casales is world class and he looked to be struggling all day so no wonder some lesser riders were less than impressed A championship should test riders on all types of going not just rock steps

.You don't need to loctite anything, just spannercheck it every 3or4 rides Loctite can make it difficult to remove things when necessary Better to copaslip all the fasteners so it will come to bits Mud and jet washing tends to seize things up

I saw it at Hookwoods today too. It looks well designed and made, not a copy of anything else.It sounds odd at low revs but does not appear to lack in this area, when it's wound on the exhaust note changes and it takes off quicker than anything else.I think the production model would need calming down for the majority but in the hands of a very good rider(Dabill)it appears a brilliant bike .Hope it works out for them
  11. Goldfren work well and last too
  12. huski replied to telecat's topic in Gas Gas
Clear enough from the GasGas statement from Facebook

So the shareholders don't want to risk their own money, but want the smaller workforce to work for less.Sounds a great way to motivate the staff to make the bikes properly, feel sorry for them
  14. huski replied to telecat's topic in TRS
There's been no photos of a complete prototype yet let alone a production one so I don't think we'll see one for a while.

Has to be the fan switch not making contact Fit a new one and it'll work fine .Doesnt sound like you've damaged anything
  16. Try to start the descent as slow as possible, you can use a lot more front brake than you first think especially when its dry.Practise this before you try turning so you're not trying to learn 2 things at the same time. When turning get your weight well off the back and to the outside and get the bike slowl enough before you turn .When turning use the back brake. Its easier going left if you have to dab you can still hold the bike on the back brake.Like all techniques the more you do it the easier it becomes.Full lock is difficult as the front digs in and tucks under
  17. Does the knock stop if you put the choke on?Cant get the video to play to hear it .Maybe the carb hasn't been reassembled right and its weak mixture is causing the knock .Idle screw wants to be about 3 turns out Go over what you've done,as the other post says washing it can't have created the noise
  18. IF it happens he won't be short of offers don't see him needing to develop a new brand unless the money was too great to refuse
  19. huski replied to telecat's topic in Gas Gas
Major development on the bike was pretty much done by 2011, the more recent ones ride very similar ,only the 2015 ones have been significantly improved with the carb and shock but the price has jumped up accordingly .Speaking to local riders most feel £5k is as much as they want to pay for a bike ,most aren't earning much more than 5years ago
  20. Tps-throttle position sensor ,informs the ecu how much the throttle is open so it knows how much fuel to inject and what ignition advance.Idle speed increases with more air same as lifting the slide in a carb with the throttle stop screw . Ecu sees this and adjusts fuelling to suit Idle speed doesn't alter mixture unless ecu deems it necessary
  21. huski replied to evo's topic in UK Trials Talk
250 evo is a good choice but your budget is pushing it a bit for a nice 12 model Best to buy on condition,a clean 11 would be a better buy than a less than good 12 Sorting out a well used one can get expensive
  22. fair enough price for an adult, but maybe if the family ticket was reduced more families would go
  23. huski replied to diligaf's topic in Beta
I had a 2010 290 and in the dry it was great but hard to get grip in the very slippery mud we have in the winter It would go up anything you pointed it at in the dry though, very powerful top end .My scores would have been better with the 250 but not so much fun
  24. Looks like Jgas will have to fight back I don't see many riders trusting another unproven Spanish brand either
  25. A few turns of plumbers ptfe tape will seal it
