Mikuni On Tlr 200
WoooooHooooo, managed to get out on the tlr at last. so latest mods are......the alloy muffler, junked airbox and long inlet running to a uni filter, pilot 20, main jet is now mikuni 102.5. Had an hour down at the river doing some sections with some tough climbs too......way,way,way better.May be worth trying a 105 main, but I'm not too far of now....WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO. Did a flat out plug chop and the colour was good, power was almost perfect with no stammering like before, defo good enough to use in a trial now . Added bonus is getting rid of that piece of sh*t airbox, makes working on the thing SOOOOO much easyer.

Had a mate way back when, who raced TZ yam's. After the race meet, he would tip the fuel/R mix into his transit......the result was as the above photographs.

Alloy Kicker For Tlr200
Hi Mark, I used a piece of 4" pipe to do the big curve, and then a piece of 2" to bring the top end back up at the 45 degree angle. Heat was supplied by the oxy acetylene plant at work.....just heat it enough to bend it, should go easy enough between cherry red and orange ( more toward the orange).....if you get it yellow/ white you gone too far .

Alloy Kicker For Tlr200
Ok, I guess it was a big ask and I didn't think anything would be suitable. So.....took the xr200 kicker I've been using( which needed the footrest hooking up out of the way), and gave it the heat treatment, results are in the pictures. also made some alloy snail cams for chain adjustment...turned out well. .

Tlr250
I agree with Andy, certainly looks like a TLR and a 250 too as it's got the BIG fins on the barrel. So....why you worried about the engine number, get out and have some fun on it.

Michelin X Light On A Twinshock?
triple X, why not just put a sanding disc in yer grinder and remove the 'not for road use' wording off your tyre. The tyre is well up to been used on the road, and which plod is going to know what brand of tyre is "good or bad" if the wee markings are not there to tell them?
