After replacing the rear suspension arms on my 2012 bike due to the main pin snapping, I ordered some new swinging arm bolts as the heads where a bit chewed up, I've just come to replace them and the have both shered off at the end of the threads. I've looked at the shocker and the spring is only hand tight can anymore tell me what the measurement of the spring should be with the shocker off the bike from the factory. Once I get that sorted and tightened up will i be ok to use the Alu swinging arm bolts I've just got or should I look for some steel replacements ?

forgot the most important bit: its a cracking trial, should be
14 sections all off road, from rocks to streams and mud.
looks like a nice forecast for the weekend as well

-
even though the regs says you start at intervals i ve never
seen it happen in the last 3 years, you tend to find you all
start together, but the three routes all start at different sections.
so for instance.
hard start at section 5
50/50 route section 1
easy section 10

Does anyone know of a after market rear brake lever that
will fit a 2012 ossa, ive bent mine a bit and wanted to buy
a spare but a ossa one is £70 which seems a bit steep

i saw a 2013 over the weekend and the owner was far from happy,
it had boiled over once at a trial and has had two sets of oil seals,
and its a ******* to start. i saw him pushing it back to the
van as it wouldnt start, so i offered my help, leaned it against a tree
opened the throttle a couple of times and it started in 4 kicks. so maybe
i have the knack.

just tried starting my bike from cold and used the following method
turn on battery and leave for 2 - 3 mins
turn throttle on to full and back to off

i will give this method another go over the week end and

i have in my tool box and the on the spacer from the wheel.
i was thinking of trying a jitsie universal spindle to see if that
fits
