  1. Read a few of your posts recently Ben not really a Gas Gas person perhaps ?
  2. For those who havent met him that actually is Dabster !
  3. Dabster doesnt do SSDT
  4. Oh and to answer your question no it is not the worst gearbox design ever but you can spend more and get that design...
  5. whats Bou ride in Spain ? Honda ??
  6. Spanish 3 = Milton Keynes roll back ? :-)
  7. Simply put we as a sport cant observe or are unwilling to observe too our own rules. Perhaps if last year had been called no reversing you could see it from my perspective. If we are going to say momentary stop is ok then put it in the rules, or if we are going to say reversing is ok because the rider has a time limit then again put it in the rules. I know its more and more rules but we do need consistency.
  8. I think im right in saying under last years rules to clean a section you had to: a) go from start to end without touching the flags not use a part of the body to assist balance c) the machine must not go backward d) the section must be completed in 1min 30 secs. Why Andrew does completing only 3 of the above suffice but you deem no stop to be an absolute. Point here is under either rules we need an acceptable standard of consistency. To say stop permitted was easier / better observed is not true in my view.
  9. Yes while the stop no stop debate goes on and on and on british riders still have no basis to challenge or request review of SSSI status. When we have no land we will wonder why the rules seemed so important.
  10. You might but go and watch 10 videos under the old rules where reversing should be a five. every time bou puts that front wheel on a rock then pulls it back before driving the wheel into the rock that should have been a five. Now tell me why you can accept that being a clean ? remember i'm not stating no stop is better i'm simply stating neither rule is / was perfectly applied.
  11. Next time your studying if they stopped or not and what the observer has scored ask yourself why it never bothered you that under previous rules feet up going backwards was acceptable and this didnt bother you ? You have already decided you dont like no stop. Observing is not correct all the time and never will be, but under either rules good riders will always benefit.
  12. funtrials i think you have had your say. you are now saying anything just so you can stay in the thread.
  13. I had the 50cc version and won a c class trial on it. Happy days
  14. it may also provide some limited protection to the sprocket but if that was its main purpose it wouldnt be made from tupperware. It does stop fingers going in if its correctly fitted and not damaged.
  15. thats what the sprocket guard is doing as long as the wheel is going the right way fingers shouldnt get between sprocket and chain
  16. Funtrials i like people who like trials and you do appear to be rather passionate about your sport and your preferred rules. However not everybody shares your view and you would do well to develop a little more respect for the opinions of others who share your interest if not your particular view on no stop. In the uk in terms of people who ride its maybe 50/50 in terms of preference i would suggest. I'm happy to ride stop permitted but prefer no stop trials. No stop at the wtc is an experiment which should be allowed to run its course without starting boycotts, its not necessary. We are a minority sport so we need to stick together. Now go and ride your bike however you please, riding bikes is far better than arguing.
  17. Right on brother I have spent years perfecting art of picking up my bike and the stoopid fim have decided thats a five as im not in control of my bike. its a disgrace its like the dark ages :-) He stalled it its a five
  18. lots . any video of other riders on this section ?
  19. Tim as long as the motor is off i lift all bikes by the rear wheel these days.
  20. Quick update I spent saturday and sunday marking out some sections for the trial. Thanks to Paul Battensby and Rob Dyson for helping out. Thirteen of the required 50 sections for the weekend are now sorted and there are some photos on the bedlington motorclub facebook page. There have been problems with illegal riders in the area recently and both the Forestry Commission and the Police have been involved. The photos are being shown to show the different types of sections dont go and try and find them or you bike is likely to be confiscated. We get prior permission including reg. of vehicles to set out the course and have permission for the trial. Other than that no vehicle is permitted in the forest. Entries close on the 7th June so we can sort out the lunch check and set the sections to suit those entered. You can enter online at www.bedlingtonmotorclub.co.uk for further details see the entry in the TC Calender
