Jcm Vega
No Rob Sartin rode the SR model during 1990. The vega was the predecessor.Scarlett rode it in 87 and early 88 before going back to yamaha at the ssdt. The europa etc were brought in during 89 & 90 by Bob Gollner, they were actually called Striet JCM as some other person had invested in them.

Bou Toppled Lampkin In Terms Of World Titles
in terms of wtc i agree not much will change in terms of positions. However when cabestany rode the ssdt i thought he would win no problem. He was no where near. This just proved that the ssdt is a different challenge as a few months later at the nevis range he was back where you would expect i think.

Sherco Reliability
to be fair its the same brand of ignition now on Gas Gas Beta and Sherco. So dont decide on the basis of electrical problems. Had 2011 and 2012 shercos and not had any electrical problems.

Jcm Vega
No Mick the Vega wasnt imported by Quinns I'm sure thats what the one Tony Scarlett had was called but that was 1987 so I may be wrong, its happened before.... If I'm right it had the same motor as the early air cooled Gas Gas, linkage suspension, tank under the seat etc. The Gollner Striet JCMs were similar. Entirely different to the beautiful creation you had the pleasure of purchasing

Bou Toppled Lampkin In Terms Of World Titles
I agree with Andy, the SSDT is not important to Honda How many SSDTs did Dougie ride for Montesa even now Fuji can't win the WTC but he still doesnt do Scotland, if Honda wanted they could send Fuji to win it but its not on their agenda.

Tonis biggest problem would be boredom i fear. i think he could probably do every section and moor on the back wheel !

Milky Oil. I'm Confused?
Ben just check the coolant has dropped before you get the tools out. you havent said if you used the same oil previously so may just be the two oils mixing.

2013 Evo Factory
Does look nice but why do the factories not provide the same spec for the 250 versions, they all seem to put less into a 250 but it may be their best seller ?

Do The Yamaha Engined Sy250R's Have A Rev Limiter?
When I had a 2006 model i thought it had one but i cant tell you for certain. If you have been sitting in a queue for a while and try and clean the motor out before a big climb or step it wont rev out it seems restricted. Yet under load going up a hill it revved higher than any other bike I have owned. I suppose under no load with the clutch in its actually revving higher so its maybe hitting the limiter ? also best bike ever made for steps, rear suspension just soaks them up.

Fim Very Very Quiet?
How old is your son ? i rode my first trial at 12 as a kid my dads routine was always the same. He put petrol in the bike and then sent me off. i might bump into him during the day but nothing was planned. I met lots of people through them picking my bike up but as the other guy said trials is a social thing. Running round after them is a recent thing and im not convinced its a good thing. in all fairness we are miles off topic .....

Fim Very Very Quiet?
been killing me not to ask that

Fim Very Very Quiet?
that money was spent on proving Toni is the best rider bar none. Watched the indoor last night, spent more time on my phone. I loved the indoor stuff in the early days but that was dull last night. Manufacturers need to face up to the fact that they are contributing to the problem not the solutions at present by spending far too much on WTC.

Fim Very Very Quiet?
I think that in 5 years time if all we have is the current numbers of youth riders its finished as a sport. We have two camps possibly both as blind and blinkered. you cannot look at the current demographics of a uk trial and think there is a long term future for this sport. something has too change. At the moment the FIM are experimenting with the rules and if that doesnt work then we need to look at something else. At least they or somebody if not them is trying.

Fim Very Very Quiet?
Whilst current younger riders seem to want stop permitted the problem is that there are no where near enough young riders.

Alwinton 2 Day Trial 2013
Bedlington Motor Club will be running the third edition of the Alwinton Two Day trial on the weekend of the 22/23 June 2013. Alwinton is a small village in rural Northumberland about 45 minutes North West of Newcastle. Each year the club has worked with local farmers and the Forestry Commission to extend the course. The Club would like to have an established two day trial and are hoping to attract riders from around the country to enjoy our event. This years event will be a single lap on the Saturday and a two lap trial on the Sunday. Saturdays route will be 30 sections including streams, shale, quarries, rock outcrop and even a little mud. There will also be a lunch and petrol check, much of the route is on forest trails and moorland tracks. If you have never done a single lap trial this could be for you as its all off road and the club provide three routes, Expert, Clubman and Easy. Sunday will be 2 laps of twenty sections on similar terrain. The event will be a no stop trial as the land is almost perfect for a no stop trial with lots of natural terrain. In 2013 the event will start and end each day at the Clennel Hall hotel which will be the headquarters for the event. The hotel will be providing food and drink throughout the weekend and are offering discounted rates to competitors. If you wish to book a room please ring the hotel, 01669 650377, don’t use the online booking service. Clennel Hall are happy to restrict access to trial officials, spectators and competitors if there is enough interest so if you want to stay there get in touch with them now. Take a look at their website, Clennell Hall Country House Hotel - The Official Website and they also have a Facebook page. In addition the Hotel are happy for people to camp in their grounds at £15 per tent. In addition the Rose and Thistle in Alwinton village are providing the lunch check on the Saturday, they also provide accommodation and are only a mile from the start, telephone 01669 650226, The Rose and Thistle, Alwinton. Again you can camp in their grounds, fee to be negotiated. There is also an offical campsite and caravan site right next to the start, Welcome to Clennell Hall Riverside Holiday Park - a quiet, country carava site in Northumberland There is more accommodation in the area, please contact the club via Facebook or the clubs website for details. Entry forms are now on the Trials Central Calender. In due course we will be adding more photographs of planned sections and hopefully some video to the clubs Facebook page. Please send any questions to the club via Facebook and we hope to see you in June. Facebook page is Facebook Club Secretary is Colin Battensby 07967531230 or contact Glen Quinn 07793047250 after 7pm.

My 90's Gas Gas Contact250 Project..
no air filter may make it richer as more air going through carb sucks more fuel through Jets. Had a bike running with filter box off years ago and it ran really rich
