yes thats correct the plate should be behind the number board. if its out of the first batch then it will have been purchased june / july 1984. Dad met corroy at the 84 ssdt, wish he never had but thats a different story....
Some good ideas, air filter is excellent, linkless mono system like a rev 3 Beta in principle but not as good. Wheel adjusters inside S / arm like a 2013 Gas Gas Racing. Early ones were the best same ignition as fantic later bikes had motoplat and stalled much easier.

but if we all stopped buying stickers for a year we could purchase some land. we also need to get together. In the n east there is a trial park on the side of a go kart track. its not great but its better than shopping. We need more ideas less pessimism !

No Jan what I am trying to get across is neither set of rules is perfect. stop permitted produces arguement and discussion so as a rational sensible group of people we should not take the view that only no stop is difficult to observe. Im not too concerned about the wtc surviving but i do want the sport to survive.
And seen as you mentioned it i can answer yes to 7 out of 8 of Johns questions. Have a look at the trials review thread Alwinton 2 day to see what i was doing on Sunday .

ok the change will cause arguments but riders were arguing under the existing rules ? At Nord Vue riders claimed they were out of the section when the whistle went but they were a good six feet short ! or being docked a five for the minder grabbing the bike and letting go again or the rider knocking a flag out.
Beyond a certain level riders seem to argue regardless of the rules, its not a reason not to change things.

Yes I think they did have a kink in that side near to wear it connects to the middle box.

I think giving a five for that ride is harsh.
What I dont get, which I would like dabster and others to explain, is why we think this is a five but when under stop permitted a rider goes back six inches nobody awards a five and thats ok ? Its like under no stop it has to be zero tolerance but we ignore the fact the observing under stop permitted is rather slack. I think this is just people fooling themselves that stop permitted observing is sound or in some way better / easier ? I dont think it is, under both rules its subjective.

Been out today looking for sections for 2013 in the forest next door.
Very different kind of terrain to the rest of the course but thats a good thing we think.

Red Bull funded DuPont to ride over the Millenium bridge on the Tyne, I didnt know it was on but it made the front page of the local paper. Some people at work asked if that was the kind of bike I had but nobody asked where to buy one. should have been a kids demo alongside it, ideal opportunity missed.

id rather see none of you watch a wtc. Go and ride somewhere, the sport needs paticipation. just watch the wtc on youtube and have a single event a year like cycling but without the drugs.

I think we need to get our mits on the cash spent by the factories on the WTC and put it to better use.
From the factorys point of view I just dont get it. £££s gets spent on transporting a top 8 /10 around the world yet at most events we all know who will win and we all know we cant buy that bike. WTC is not selling bikes, from the journo / spectator and amateur cameramans point of view stop permitted is spectatcular, but its not making people buy bikes.
The basic asumption that more spectacular = more spectators = more bike sales doesnt appear to work. WTC has probably done more for camera sales than bike sales, an exaggaration but hopefully you see what I mean.
I see Andys point of view and certainly not knocking the guy but for all the world trials he has attended has he bought a bike yet ? Has he seen anything that makes him ring up a dealer and say could i borrow a bike just to try it ? Sorry not getting at you at all Andy its just an example. I dont care how many watch a world trial, but i am concerned how many ride a trial these days.
Our sport has fundamental problems
Bikes are way to expensive and quality isnt up to the job. Have you seen the price of parts ? who in their right mind is going to put their son / daughter a 3 year old bike and put it right to see if they like trials ?
All of the observing rules are applied subjectively, to the outsider we might as well make it up. WTC no reversing, of course they reverse, they may do it diagonally or whilst on the rear wheel but they are still going backwards and getting cleans while we all think wasnt that good. No Stop is no easier to enforce.
Then look at our bikes from a land access point of view.
Forestry in england are reluctant to allow a motor vehicle in a stream due to the pollution risk. Try justifying a keihin carb as Sherco and beta supply to the enviromental officer at your local council. Carbs urinate petrol whenever the bike leans over or is on an incline, is that really so hard to fix as a problem ? Dellortos dont seem to leak and FI per the Ossa and Mont certainly dont.
Chain Lube, all the manufacturers make it, anyone thought of biodegradeable ? you can get it but none of us use it.
Lets get better bikes that are presentable to the local authorities and forestry people as enviromentally friendly, put some R&D money into that instead of a titanium shock for Toni. If your car poured petrol out going downhill you would take it back.
Trials needs land, bikes that are accesible to Joe Public and rules that are consistently enforced.
Trials will die without more land and more young riders. Have you noticed the demographic at a uk trial ? most of the riders are 40 plus ! A WTC is a nice to have but trials will survive without it so can we stop the next 6 months of debate on WTC rules and focus on doing somthing positive instead ?
Mr factory, i can get you some land, can you bring the bikes ??

i thought this thread was going to be about the bike nonstop brought to the french 4 day. engine is sealed so you cant touch it , lots of trick stuff but cost was

What do you think of trp shock compared to std one ?

soft map is circuit broken / switch removed. I took it off my 2012 as it makes little difference at low rpm. Chris at splatshop put a diagram on here a while back

yes all the switch is doing is making or breaking the circuit. You could achieve the same joining the two wires.
