  1. Yes i mean the ACU book,it sound's like it's full of twist's and turn's until anybody that read's it does'nt have a clue how they should be riding a trial, and at what rule's they should be riding it. My first trial was as a schoolboy in the early 80's,i turned up they told me how to ride a trial and what was expected of me.never ever saw a rule book then, i just rode the trial. And thats how i continue to do so. End of. As we all know now there's 2 diffrent set's of rule's these day's. If im not sure what kind of trial im turning up at i call up the club before hand and ask,or ask at the start. Im sure if more rider's done that before a trial there would'nt be all these problem's dare i say it "with non stop or hopping in section's". In my opinion it's only the club's that should hold the rule book and then it's down to the club to explain to the rider if they don't understand what there doing there. P.S Thanks for the info on the tank, paul.
  2. Do yourself's a favour and chuck the book in the bin,it's just full of politic's about trialing. Never read it never will. Just get on your bike's and get stuck into the section's and have fun. ENJOY.
  3. better get my 197cc cleaned up then. anyone here know if earle's fork's are rare.
  4. Still don't think you've answered jack's question chap's. His probaly gone on to self harm now, that's what im about to do after reading this lot
  5. sure we now know the bike is now capable of winning,But there's a big but here WHO made the bike capable of winning it was'nt montesa alone that's for sure, they needed an experianced rider like doug to get it right for the world stage and then put a younger rider on board to win on it,if the truth's known doug would have retired awhile ago.We never know what's behind the rider's contract. To say his no real ambassador to the sport that's a bit of an insult to the man. his put alot into trial's and allway's will even if it is only in the coaching field.
  6. Jack, the best way to explain things to you is to buy a few trial's video's from the 60s---70's---80's--- . Now you know this is gonna set OTF off on one again don't you.
  7. get some heat on it and then they should lever off nice.
  8. i've never seen someone answer there own post before. what ya up to sean boy.
  9. I Getcha we never make the same mistake twice. lesson learnt. happy trialing
  10. lol. Can't believe you just said that cg125. A blind man would have noticed the bike was'nt worth the money that was paid. All the thing's wrong with that bike you could feel or hear, it was knackered. sound's like E BAY have taken over the asylum.

ok. how many we're sold in the uk any idea. But your probaly right we might see the next year bike coming earlier and earlier as technology on the bike's seem to be moving quicker and quicker on the bike's,and the manufacturer's will need to fight even harder to keep ahead of the other. kinell,do you know any one with the 200 they look the job,not sure how strong the engine is though.

So what's wrong with them then.? we're only 2 month's into 07,or don't thing's happen like that do we get 08 in 07?
  13. Rain on it i think you slashed all over it,OTF.
  14. I have to ask the question WHY is it people go out and buy a new bike when all they know there doing is buying a bike that inherit's the same problem's that there old bike of 2 year's old has. If no one bought them then the manufacturer would have to stand back and think about what's wrong with the quality. But be prepared to pay more for the bike.? normal story in life is this, someone see's something cheap they buy with no question's asked. And then complain's when something break's or leak's. Also people might say that the older bike's of 20--30 year's are better quality than the modern one's, but are they when you consider trial's was no where near as rough back then.
  15. Axul. Bill's 200 clutch is 100% cable. I'll give you a brief description of the set up. As you probaly know on the 200's there's an adjuster that screw's into the top of the engine casing, that was removed and with the engine split he drilled down into the casing where the adjuster used screw into, and then made up a shaft that would slide down into the casing,i can only guess he used a circlip to secure the shaft at the bottom, back up top he had two little arm's fitted either side of the shaft, there was a length of cable from your handlebar's down to your new arm ,and the other arm would hold a piece of cable going to the original clutch arm bolted to the engine. As you operate the clutch the new shaft turn's in turn. That's a very basic description and as you could imagine there's a hell of alot of work involved there. think it's a game of experimenting untill you get it right, but it can be done and you would'nt know the diffrence between cable or hydralic. one finger operation. hope that explain's it clear enough.
  16. Thank's bo,sorry axul. It show's it can be done without going hydralic though.
  17. Bill pye has done a nice little clutch conversion to one of his 200 twinshock's a very cute job,one finger operation. He had it at the malvern bike show last year.not sure if his doing it this year but if he is he might have the bike there, worth taking a look at it.
  18. Oohh dear im sending the life squad round to you bloke's. There is one good face to that show, and that is if those three half wit's can make it in life any one can.
  19. I use NZI myself nice and light. I should'nt worry about if your choice has vent's or not the vent's are useless to be honest so i would'nt let that get in the way of what you decide.
  20. Mate a fart in a lift is funnier than clarkson.
  21. Manufacturer's know trial's people won't pay any more for the bike's,they know we'd rather put up with bad fitting plastic's and so on. Most of people's bad experiance's with there bike's are down to bad maintenance on the rider's part,I don't think some rider's understand the bashing they give there bike's over a year of trial's. I knew a MX rider who had his bike down to it's gut's on the monday after his racing ,how many trials' rider's do that after each trial. For some reason rider's think a trial's bike look's after it's self. How much does it cost the factory to produce a bike,Any one know i guess about
