    Beta Problem

Hang on if it's a private sale and no reputation to hold on to.Why should it become your problem,he started messing with it done a bad job and then come's back to you about it,tell him on your bike mate.
  3. ed. have you split the engine yet. would be nice if you could give us an update on the restore of the bike, photo's would be good aswell. i've got one myself to do sometime aswell, look's like your's will be done before mine though. cheer's
  4. I was in line waiting at a section once.i was watching a guy ridding up to the section when all of a sudden he gave the throttle max for no real reason and ended up flipping the bike and he ended up on his a*** before he even got to the the start gate.It was very funny at the time
  5. I did'nt know you had to play it by the book, can't you do the section 3 time's and then move on to the next so your wife can watch you.when my mrs say's to me in the morning she want's to come and watch me i normally say ok im just going to load the van up and drive off as fast as i can. I like to mix my section's up so i meet diffrent people on the way round to chat to.
  6. Anybody got any funny story's that's happened to you or someone else whilst out trialing, more painfull the better.
  7. Hi ed. yeah let me know if you can get some m7's and the clutch nut made up from some where,if the cost is right i'll go for some. How did you find your old bolt's come out like, they look like right git's to unscrew. where are you from. cheer's
  8. Think you'd have to go abit further than to log number's these day's,,how about an electronic Tracker there's alot of neat little place's on a bike to hide them,im not a hi tech kind of person so i don't know what the range would be.I know if you have a sat nav in your car you can be tracked from the law's above where ever you are in the country.
  9. :agree: But i would'nt agree too much though they might come up with a champion now. very wise word's though

    Fantic Section 80

I would like one of those for my collection. If you don't get any joy here it might be worth quizing Bill Pye about them.Im sure you know Mr Pye.
  11. That's what i was worried about,it could make trial's very expensive for some of the more younger one's to get into.I used to be breaking plastic's on the bike every week when i was young, I would'nt like to hazard a guess on how much it would cost to replace the plastic's on the more modern smaller bike's.It would be sad to see kid's walking away from trial's because of the money involved to keep going.
  12. I've often called the Ex Mrs an old boot.I spose that can be seen as trial's related.
  13. yeah that would be cool, where are the practice site's,and are they open any time.
  14. No problem sean,i have to come up for christmas anyway,i'll try and track him down then. dont spose there's any trials going off up there between christmas and new year is,thinking of bringing the bike up aswell
  15. lol keep away from big buba. . sean have you managed to ask around about my mate from up there.
  16. Well i've started to itch alot lately.
  17. No i don't ride one.It was just an observation when i was walking around a trial the other weekend, the TY's did'nt look like they was dealing with some of the section's to good. They have a smaller wheel base than the modern smaller engined bike's,that's where they was having problem's.Just wondered what other people's view was. i take it you hav'nt seen any evidence of them struggling then.
  18. It seem's the TY80 is starting to struggle in the beginner's section's.
  19. I know gordon brown is a user on here, he'l be first in line and i've got a feeling blair will be close behind him
  20. do you have a picture to how you connected it up to the clutch arm on the engine. thanks
  21. Good subject. I was walking a section behind a father and son,the son pulled the marker out the ground and placed it further out,the dad spotted this and said what do you think your doing to the son,he replied i dont want to go over that log,the only good thing that came out of that is the dad making him put it back.would that be seen as landscape gardening,i know thing's do get dislodged by the bike sometime's which mean's that part of the section would be diffrent to ride next time round.but moving thing's youself that can't be part of the game surely.
  22. Going home with pride is worth a hell of alot more than going home with a trophy you cheated to win, well that's what i was allway's taught.no tear's ever passed my eye's when i lost and i lost alot.
