  1. I've heard rumours about I-Honda A group of them malfunctioned and were found breaking in to the Sherco factory. The machines claimed they were protecting their future. Honda have warned existing owners that if the headlight goes red, get off quick, and move away from the bike. In a separate incident, an order for a 4RT was received from a Mr Brian Curran, and the machine in question automatically self destructed in order to protect the rest of mankind.
  2. Well I've stopped smoking these days because they've stopped advertising. Boll*cks!!! What does it matter that a cigarette company has a banner up? Do the non-smokers think, bloody hell I could do with a fag! Do they buggery. The idea is to make that particular brand of cigarettes a prime choice when a smoker walks in to a tobacconist. I'm a reformed smoker (fairly recent - the last 2 years with a little 2 month lapse in the middle). I can honestly say it was pretty damned hard to stop, but advertising wasn't something I was fighting. If we're going to argue about the financial burden on the health service, the truth is, the government makes much more from tax on tobacco products than it spends on (potential) tobacco related disease. And by the way, the 2 months I started again last year was nothing to do with advertising I saw at Sheffield last year, but they don't ban miserable women do they That was a joke by the way, almost If we as a nation weren't such dumb scaremongering Sun readers we wouldn't end up with a nanny state. Doh! Andrex advert - got to go!
  3. The marching band came down along main street, The soldier blues fell in behind ... This was your clue. If you're not old enough to recognise it Google it (or if you're old enough but too senile ). The following posts will probably make more sense then
  4. Well I can see where yer going wrong. That Orion's much too steep. Look at that flat old red thing behind it - much better - go for it - send us the photo's
  5. Not sure to be honest, but when I heard about it, my thoughts were that it was probably a good idea. For people who are actually contemplating parting with their hard earned cash, an afternoon off probably doesn't seem too bad if they're going to actually get a good chance to try out the bikes. Whereas on a weekend, every Tom Dick and Harry would probably turn up for a spin on the bike, and limit the time that the real interested parties would have to try them out. That was just my take on it, I don't know how other test days have turned out. Of course, it could be totally different reasons. It's probably easier to get MRS to help out on a weekday I would imagine? Guessing really.....
  6. Thanks, I'll let the dealer know Knew as soon as I got the email saying you'd replied, this it was going to be something like this.
  7. Yes, checked today, it is at the old quad centre, one mile North of Newtown Powys. And, at the moment, the plan is still to have a Sherco 4T there, so we'll have to wait and see. Has there been one anywhere over here yet? A prototype maybe?
  8. You're very best wasn't good enough Kinell, familiar story. Getting sick of you letting us down. If you don't win the Scottish this year you've sh!t it in my book. Good luck, Gaz Harsh but fair

    Mot Req?

I can't find a speedo requirement anywhere in the manual. The manual definitely states that reflector is not required for daytime MOT if that's what you're going for. Before 1973 you can use a bulb horn.
  10. One good idea there on the seating plan - Airhorn free zones for the miserable buggers That way I could let my kid go mad and get excited without having to worry about miserable sods getting uppety just because he's burst their ear drum. They've got two for gods sake
  11. Yeah I thought production was late January and delivery Feb some time. I'll try to find out the details tomorrow and let you know. The Sherco was the main bit that I wasn't unsure of though, it's supposed to be there. Hopefully not another Montesa type hype then delay.
  12. They run the speedway World Championships, dunno what else?
  13. I'm not sure where it is yet mate, I sort of heard about it today, but got caught up doing the kids course then replacing an observer, then pulling the flags in. When I got back down everyone had gone To be honest, I daren't go, 'cos I know I can't afford a new bike at the moment, but I know how it kills me when I get the bug. I think that's why I'm determined not to like the Montesa yet I'll give 'em a ring tomorrow and let you know. I'll put something on our local site as well. I'd hate to think if someone's actually making the effort to push the bikes fairly locally that they didn't get some interest. I have to travel far enough for a bike shop as it is now. I think they're using word of mouth at the moment.
  14. Just thought I'd mention it for people in the mid-Wales/Cheshire area. I was talking to someone at todays event, and three local bike dealers are doing a bike demo day on the 19th January. I believe the three dealers are David Jones, Steve Plain, and Wylie and Holland but I'm not definite on all of them yet, I need to do some ringing tomorrow, I was too busy dragging flags in to speak to anyone at the end of the trial. I do know that the plan is to have the Montesa 4RT, the Sherco 4T, plus a load of Sherco/Gasser 2 strokes. I don't know if there are any other 2 strokes there. If anyone fancies a ride, Graham Evans is the bloke with the details and taking bookings on 01686 625010. Apologies for being a little vague, it's not straight from the horses mouth, but I think it would be a shame for local TC people to miss out on it if you are in the market for a new bike.
  15. First time I've missed it in a few years. Seen Dougie lose it in a nailbiter. Seen Dougie win it. Would be nice to see the 4 bangers first time out, but things are busy this year, so I'll be relying on your coverage tomorrow Andy. Have a good night everyone
  16. That does seem steep, I seem to remember the 2002 Pro 280 piston being about
  17. What modern bike. You told us you had a Scorpa
  18. Never even thought of it in your name mate. Only joking, it just "amuses" me when blokes my age use it. ****ing hippies.
  19. You and young Richard really are trying to replace Wonderboy eh?
  20. Hmmmmm....Just checked mine and it says it's 6.15, but it's only 5.15. Its manually set in yer profile (board settings). Good thinking though ......dude. P.S. I absolutely hate the word dude and it doesn't fit my character, but I'm going to use it as much as possible in order to appear young and hip. Not a mid life crisis though, no way.
  21. It may not make a big difference , and I don't want to mess up the geometry of your bike, but worth a try for the sake of a few minutes. An inch and a half does seem a lot, more like how we used to set it up for youth B class along with shorter back shocks.
