No I haven't done it but I know someone who has on a 250.I was told about a 250 using 5 gaskets. 2 gaskets would be fine, I wouldn't use silicone, make sure the surfaces are very clean. Chain needs to be same tension as normal, but you need some slack as you are in effect raising the head slightly. Tension it as normal making sure it is not too tight. Thanks for the part number.

Increasing the base gaskets will help, this is a common mod on a 250 to soften the power. You will want some slack in the cam chain and don't run it too tight as this can damage the head. Are rings still available? I need some in my 200.

The 240 I have been offered may have the wrong motor in it then. The bloke was a bit vague and was sure it kicked back and not forward. Still waiting for pics from him.

Did they change much over time, was there a forward kickstart and back kick type. I don't know a great deal about Fantics, I have been offered a 240 pro, not seen it yet, it needs work but is a runner. I do know they reckon they are the best out of the crate twinshock there is though ?? Having said that people are still tweeking footpegs, steering angles etc. Also top yokes I see. Thanks . PS. Four stroke finale. The Honda trials story is available on ebay now. There are a couple of pics of the Hondas in there. No talk of a 250 version though. Looked like they were built around 79.(unbelievably 30 yrs ago) Looks like starting life as XL125/185s of the day with 150- 220cc variants. I think yours has been doctored to take the 250 motor. I would be tempted to doctor it back to take the 125/185 motor agian if it was mine.

I'll 2nd that. They are usually available on the bay. When walking the section if that brook has a deep hole and you step in it and water goes in the top of your boots the goretex hold it in as well as keep it out. Been there done that.......... More than once.

I am running WES at present, recently bought a stock system, not fitted it yet. They do say it is hard to beat, except for weight difference. Will give it a go first.
