  4. After two very disappointing showings in the WEC where their best placing was 6th BMW have announced their withdrawal from the WEC saying that they intend to concentrate on the WSB series where their results have been only slightly worse.

    New Swm

Martin, those triple clamps were used surprising late ('76 ish) by Husqvarna. I have a pic of Malcolm Smiths ISDT Husky with very similar looking triple clamps.

That's waaay later than a '73. Martin '77/'78? Exhaust looks good. Raptor MartinM has a very clean model of similar vintage. Nice article in classic off-road mag on it.
  8. My dad had a '67. Lovely thing it was too. We went to the factory to collect. I remember it well.
  9. You mean like Ham2's seductive "Shirley and me in the bath"? Ham2's bathroom sex Filth. Pure filth.
  10. Hell John some of the other jokes that have been posted here recently leave this one in the shade (I'm sure there's some innuendo in that..)
  11. Renault and Ford are pulling together to create a new car. It will be based on the Ford Taurus and Renault Clio and will be named Clitaurus. It will only be available in pink, with or without fur on the dash.
  12. Is that with or without onions? Sounds normal Stu. It's the reason the valves are there, to stop the flame front going back into the carb. Have you checked your coil?
  13. Apparently the 326's are so elusive you can't even see the pics
  14. It was entertainment night at the old age home.. Claude the hypnotist exclaimed: "I'm here to put you into a trance; I intend to hypnotize each and every member of the audience." The excitement was almost electric as Claude withdrew a beautiful antique pocket watch from his coat ' I want you each to keep your eye on this antique watch. It's a very special watch. It's been in my family for six generations '. He began to swing the watch gently back and forth while quietly chanting, "Watch the watch, watch the watch, and watch the watch...." The crowd became mesmerized as the watch swayed back and forth, light gleaming off its polished surface. Hundreds of pairs of eyes followed the swaying watch, until, suddenly, it slipped from the hypnotist's finger and fell to the floor, shattering into a hundred pieces. "SH!T" said the Hypnotist. ....... It took three days to clean up the old age home.
  15. I wondered whether anybody would bring that up.
  16. Nice as it looks (and it does look very nice) mods don't add to the value. Sorry.
  17. This is true. The present crop of toadying creeps that pass themselves off as politicians are all pretty weak, regardless of party or country. I read an interview recently with a former father of the house and he mentioned that he missed the days of "amateur" politicians (politicians who had a profession to which they would return once their tenure in public service was complete) and mentioned that those politicians would represent the interest of their constituancy and not their party and, because they had a profession, were perfectly prepared to tell their party to go to pot if they disagreed with them. "By the people, for the people" I think the expression is. The historian Paul Johnson has warned, repeatedly, about the evils of professional politicians. Sadly, politicians will not vote themselves out of a job. Turkeys rarely vote for christmas/thanksgiving. What could Brown do about it Dabster? A lot. He was chancellor when the banks were having a field day handing out credit to all and sundry, whether or not they could afford it, and playing pass-the-parcel with the bad debts. Short of introducing legislation he could have, at the very least, warned the banks off. Gawd even I could see it coming. It was just a matter of when. The pyramid of debt was simply unsustainable. *edit* if I end another sentence with a preposition you may get Highland lass to whip me.
  18. I am under the (possilbly false) impression that the Brits would have welcomed Pres Obama giving PM Brown even less. Perhaps a simple "you f^&king w%$#er!" would have done?
