  1. 'cause I'd keep well clear from you: Middle name Wayne
  2. It was them funny hats that gave it away. Big John would only be seen in a Ralph Venables style flat cap!
  3. Be nice if the programs feature a certain poster who is frequently dragged out of warm bed to assist said rescue organisations (and has ridden into a deer for his troubles).
  4. I walked into that one didn't I? (shuttup Perce)
  5. Lessee now, Doug leaves Beta as the linkless suspensioned Rev3 is released and he returns the year that Beta return to linkage rear suspension. Coincidence?
  6. Good way to put up your price though.
  7. 's a funny about copyright. You'd imagine that they'd be keen to get their logo in as many places as possible, particularly when other folk are paying for it. I'm not sure that they'd want to be associated with my "crash and burn" style though.
  8. OK, I can't do it. But I'm gonna try try it. But after watching the vids and reading what they have to say the mob might be right. And if you think about the mechanics it makes sense. When you squat you have your derriere right over the back of the bike. Past the rear axle. This would cause the front of the bike to rise but not compress the rear suspension as much as neccessary. Try moving your backside forward 6 inches.
  9. Higgy, please try punctuation. It makes posts much more readable.
  10. I didn't know Slappers has admin permissions at Evil bay
  11. Hmm, where's CitiTrials?
  12. You'd certainly need to move. You'd also have to be keen to roll up your sleeves. A new design comes alomg once every 8 (?) years so the rest of the time you'd be employed as a mechanic/draughtsperson. From a factories point of view it isn't really worth employing a full time design engineer so I would suppose that most are employed on a contract basis. Have a look through the back issues of MX digital. There was an interview with one of their design engineers in one issue. Curiously he's a yank. AFAIK he started working in a Gas Gas shop and worked his way through uni, ending up with a masters in engineering, he then went on his OE and picked up work for Gasser where his design talents were noticed.
  13. I had a one-on-one guided tour (it was a quiet day) of HMS Belfast once. More of a pocket battleship it's still a brute. HMS Belfast
  14. Oh, one of THOSE places. You could always try nicking them yourselves. Dress code: balaclavas. You were up late.
  15. As long as you take the empty cans home I don't see a problem. Perce, have you told the keeper you have nothing to do with those wallies (I could use stronger terms but the auto-nanny will block them)?
  16. At 42 you don't even want to think about a knee replacement Brian.
  17. I admit to opening this thread ("Size info") with trepidation after seeing that you had replied to it Cope. I am pleased that you haven't sunk to previous lows
  18. One on evil bay presently Tim: Ossa 350
  19. No. Try and ask first ( a bottle of single malt has been known to "ease" nogotiotions), if he says no respect that decision. Don't bugger it up for the rest of us who do ask.
  20. No. I thought you yanks had him.

There's a write up in one of the recent editions of VMX.
  22. Mate Pete got his Raga last week. (see gasser forums). I haven't had time to swing a leg over it yet. He rode a national at the weekend and reckons the gearbox is completely different to his 2006 Raga. I'll admit that my Raga is too much for me and I'm keem to get an 09 250. How long you been back John?
  23. That venue looks fantastic. Good to see the "wanderer" has returned. New Raga then John? <jealous>
