  1. Dangling participle or sommat. Anyway it's ambiguous.
  2. At the ultimate trial being observed by the ultimate observer. My condolances Steve.
  3. So who's James' mother the rest of the time? The horror of the split infinitive
  4. Nothing wrong with the brakes on that model Ian (I'm still alive aren't I?).
  5. Thought he'd do well. Love to see his obs score though. I don't reckon he'll want to get on a bike for few weeks now (ISDE last week, Scott this. Helluva schedule)
  6. Whoa there big boy. Nowhere did I say he was a crap driver. Indeed of the current crop he's arguably the most talented. Point is with the cars and technology the way they are now you can put the best driver in a crap car and he'll do nowt and a "crap" driver in a good car and he'll win. All drivers in F1 are bloody good. They're at the the pinnicle of their profession and (mostly) have done some bloody hard yards. But it doesn't alter the fact that the results are skewed by the car. Buttons results until this year have been mediocre at best but this year Brawn got it right and his results rocketed. Barrichellos results bear this out. Now tell me it wasn't the car.
  7. Dunno. I broke two. How many did you break?
  8. On the money Ham. This years farce shows how much of F1 success is down to the car. That being said it's been the most exciting championship since Mansell threw it away on the last lap at Adelaide.
  9. Earlier versions had a habit of breaking the "gear" that engaged on the clutchdrum. It was more noticible on the Raga because of the higher compression ratio.

Eddie made a comeback? Last I heard he wasn't interested. That crash took the wind out of his sails.
  11. You're assuming Copey is "fun" & a "lively conversationalist".

Not sure. I didn't feed the Todotrial article through Babelfish for fear of my brain exploding. It looks like a bike stylist has played tunes on the original and come up with that. There's a couple of guys that do this, one's a Pole and he takes old designs and puts a modern slant on them. Some of the results (like this one) leave you breathless. Martin, that's a stunner. Whose is it? Ish, good point. *edit* Just fed Todotrial through Babelfish, a guy called Carlos Iso did the design. He paints a hypothetical scenario where Ossa and Bulto survived and has designed their offering after their bailouts.

I'd happily have one of these Bultos (thanks to Todotrial):
  14. Yep, but seeing more than one car in an hour is a f^%ng traffic jam!
  15. Yeah 'cause admitting you were a right tosser infringes on your dignity as a human being. Went to a lecture today about the new, experimental fusion reactor they're building in France. The guy who gave the lecture said that they need approval for some of the materials they intend to use in it. HELLO? It's experimental. How do you get approval for an unknown material for an unknown process? Chicken and egg springs to mind. These fornicating bureaucrats are going to send us back to the stone age.
  16. Where the bloody hell have you been? First marky Boy, then you. It's like old times.
  17. Sorry, you're right I mod'ded my OP to hedge my bets
  18. Thought you were incommunicado?
  19. Hmm, interesting if it's true. It could mean that the factories really are intent on returning trials to the clubman as opposed to living in the rarefied world that the world championship has become.
  20. You'll change your mind as soon as the Dutch squaddies light up their spliffs.
  21. Shhh Dabster, you'll get Mich Lin frothing at the mouth again
