Point is with the cars and technology the way they are now you can put the best driver in a crap car and he'll do nowt and a "crap" driver in a good car and he'll win. All drivers in F1 are bloody good. They're at the the pinnicle of their profession and (mostly) have done some bloody hard yards. But it doesn't alter the fact that the results are skewed by the car. Buttons results until this year have been mediocre at best but this year Brawn got it right and his results rocketed. Barrichellos results bear this out. Now tell me it wasn't the car.

On the money Ham. This years farce shows how much of F1 success is down to the car. That being said it's been the most exciting championship since Mansell threw it away on the last lap at Adelaide.

Earlier versions had a habit of breaking the "gear" that engaged on the clutchdrum. It was more noticible on the Raga because of the higher compression ratio.
