  1. Neo, When you say zipping through the gears, is the bike being used for more trail riding than riding just sections? My son uses mainly first gear and sometimes second for sections.
  2. Here's what I've ended up with on my son's 2010 125 S3 Head with the High High compression insert. Had just the High compression, but didn't make much difference so we went with the "High High" and it really helped out. S3 Titanium pipe with reducer. Don't think it really makes that much of a difference, I just had it from another bike. OKO 24mm carb with Keihin slide and all internal parts. Really helps out the bottom end and bike runs very clean. Still revs out like a good 125 should even with the smaller carb. The stock OKO slide pretty rough cast, so went with the better Keihin slide. It is a little bit temperamental though, often requiring changes in the air screw position depending on the weather. 48 tooth rear Sprocket. As far as I'm concerned the best mod for the 125. Definitely not too low for the better riders either! Now that he's getting better I was thinking about getting his flywheel lightened too.
  3. We had the pleasure of having Graham stay with us after the Enduro-X last year. After talking with him for a while, I was surprised with the lack of support he got from Sherco in Europe with the Enduro bikes. Hopefully he's getting the support he deserves from Husaberg and will be able to come over to the states again to ride the Enduro-X
  4. I've had a few 3.2's and the "clicking" is normal.
  5. California is a long story,, but if this is something you want to do, one thing to consider is new replacement frames come with no VIN#, so if you put your '02 motor in a new 2010 frame as far as Ca. is concerned it would still be your '02. You should also be able to stamp your '02 VIN# on the new frame and still be legal. As for your question, I'm not sure if a newer '08-'09 top end would go on your '02 bottom end. BTW-I have an '08 with a new no VIN# frame!
  6. The bike has gotten very hot! It could of had a ignition problem that has been fixed or somebody may have just been doing a bunch of hill climbs or road racing with it. If it runs good now and doesn't get hot I wouldn't worry about it.

    What A Nerve

Glad to hear your coming down. The kid and myself just made it to Las Vegas NM., staying at the holiday inn. My bald head didn't get me any senior discounts. And he's more excited about his new S3 blue levers than anything else right now!

    125 Cough

Most coughs on a small bore 4 stroke are due to being too lean on the pilot. If your putting on the choke to cure it, then that is for sure the reason. My main experance is with the little Scorpa's and hopped up play bikes, but they seem to be much happier with a much larger pilot jet.
  9. I put the titanium pipe with insert on my son's 08 125 and it worked well. I then tried it with his 2010 and it didn't like it as much. After that I tried a older stock 125 pipe (off his 08) and the bike ran much better than with ethier the stock 2010 pipe or the titanuim. I would like high copression head if I could get one. I've also used the 200 sherco kit. Makes for a really nice bike!

    New Bars.

For my Access I got a V-Mar upper clamp, S3 adjustable bar clamps & S3 bars. Makes for a very nice set up.
  11. I was there, I was just hiding from you
  12. I know to those over there our U.S. National Championship means nothing, but to us it's very important and I don't think winning that is wasting his talent. I know I'm in the minority, but I would rather see our top rider here winning the U.S. Nationals and hanging out with the younger trials riders than living over in Europe where we'll never see him.
  13. My 2.5 Sherco Access did come stock with the 28mm VHST. I agree, I think that was a lot of the problem I was having with the carb. I just put a 24mm OKO on my son's 2010 125 (with good results) so I then stuck the 26mm off the 125 on my 250 and all is well now
  14. After messing with the VHST on my Sherco Access on and off for a couple months I finally ditched it for the standard Dellorto. No matter what I did I couldn't get it to run clean without pinging and I tried everything! It has a little less power with the round slide, but runs much better. One of my customers that got the Access put an OKO on and is now also much happier.
  15. I've broken a few alloy stands and so have my customers with just the bike weight on them. I replace them with the old steel stand. I had one steel stand that went too far forward too, I just welded a bead on the top front of the stand so it wouldn't go so far forward in the bracket when extended.
  16. I found the same thing. The only 2010 I got went to a customer too and I jetted it the same as other Sherco's and it just runs better than the older bikes. By the Way, My customer got it just before a trials so he was planning on riding his old bike, but after just one ride he liked it so much he couldn't go back to the old bike!

    Plonkers Trial

I think there are only 3 or 4 Plonkers that even ride trials anymore
  19. Of the 3.2's that I've had, no shifter problems
  20. A Dr. here in SoCal did just that, one of the riders went through his back window. The Dr. ended up going to jail.
  21. You bought the V-Mars from overseas? That's a lot of travaling since there made in California
  22. I've been using the Xc-ting helmet, it's pretty nice. My son just started using the Top Fun carbon helmet, really comfortable and very light.
  23. It's one of the most fun weeks they'll have. We've made the 2,000 mile trip from Ca. five years now and we wouldn't miss it. The first year will be really fun meeting all the new friends and doing a lot of riding.

    2010 Nationals

    From the NATC site.
  25. Since not much is happening here on TC I thought I would tell you what we've been up to. Some of our California youth riders got togther and put on a Demo at Beechwood elementry school for Red Ribbon week. The theme was something like "keep balanced in life without using drugs like the kids keep balance on thier bikes". Not sure it helps kids not use drugs, but the students seemed to really enjoy watching the trials bikes. I know our kids had fun riding around the playground. Some of the high lights included Ian Dealnay and Eric Storz bunny hopping over Neil Storz. Then Ian laided down so Neil and Eric could jump over him. The six riders where-Preston Okert age 9, Ty Cullins age 10, Renata Delaney age 11, Ian Delaney age 15 or 16 (sorry Ian can't remember) Eric Storz 17 & Neil Stroz 19. Ty Cullins Ian Delaney riding a long Wheelie Neil doing his signture nose wheelie with foot on handle bar thing. Bad camera angle. Eric Storz
