    2010 Nationals

You would think that would be the case, but in '07 the Western Youth National was just before the Donner National. The result was a bunch of kids didn't ride the YN to save themselves for the regular national. Here's a updated schedule, still tenative and subject to change. Looks a lot better to me. 5/1-5/2 Tishomingo, Oklahoma 6/19-6/20 Exeter, Rhode Island 6/26-6/27 Cyuta, New York 6/28-6/30 Family Camp TTC, Tennessee 7/1-7/3 East Youth Nationals TTC, Tennessee 7/5-7/9 American Riding Camp TTC, Tennessee 7/24-7/25 Cotopaxi, Colorado 7/31-8/1 Donner, California 8/4-8/6 West Youth Nationals Sipapu, New Mexico

    2010 Nationals

I sure hope it changes. A kid riding the nationals and the youth natioals will ride Sat & Sun in RI then run down to TTC and start the Youth National on Wed, Thurs, Fri. then do the regular national Sat & Sun.? That's seven days of competion in 9 days, plus travel from RI. to TN. That's crazy!! I guess that also means no youth camp Wesyde, are you who I just shipped the 1.25 to?

    4t Start Leaver

That's a hot start on the '07 model. It's the same as a MX hot start as in it let's in more air. I had an '07 and it never needed it, so they eliminated the hot strat for '08. So to answer your question, no, nobody uses it.
  4. I've had 3 4t's and several 2t's. While it can be debated which is better in a section when out of a section there's no contest, 4t's are far better. Much better for what you are looking for.
  5. Your corrected. Their not separate. Only one filter, but three drains.
  6. That was my plan. I was thinking riders 16 & under got a free minder
  7. When I saw the title (Minders =$) I figured someone else was going to say how crazy it is that we have to pay the $40 minders fees just to go out and help our riders. This year at TTC was the first time I was a national minder. Since my 10 year old son was riding his first national I would say I was needed. Also from what I saw almost all the minders in the support lines where Dad's out there helping their kids. So what that means is on top of us parents paying the high national entry fees we also have to pay another $40 a day just to help our kids. That just doesn't seem right.
  8. Both my 2007 & 2009 4t's had a more "on-off" clutch than the Sherco 2t's. Since they use the same clutch as the 2t's I assume it's because of the different oils used or the fact that the oil is circulating through the motor. I got used to it, but never found a cure. Never really worked on it either though
  9. I sold my 3.2 4t sherco a few months back just before a trial so I jumped on my son's '08 125 Sherco for the event. I totally expected to struggle, but I ended up finishing better than I usually do and I weigh 190 pounds and ride the advanced class. I have since got a '09 sherco 125 and got there 200 kit for it. I still do just as well on 125 though.
  10. The '07 had a hot start. I broke the fitting at the carb while pulling the carb out and I just plugged the hole and never worried about it sine the bike always started well. My '09 started a little funny sometimes when cold. Sometimes wanted the choke, sometimes didn't want it. Air temp didn't matter. Never started while using throttle. It ALWAYS started first or second kick when hot I had mine upside down twice, once it started first kick and the other time I had to hold it wide open for a few kicks, kind of like happens to a 2t
  11. At first it was a little inconsistent from cold (always started good from hot) but once I cleaned the carb it has always started well cold or hot.
  12. I rode a two day trials with it the day after I uncrated it. It's working awesome. The rear suspension is defiantly improved. Power is great as with the previous models. Riding it this last weekend I also noticed it running even better now that it has more time on the motor. My '07 did the same thing, I had just forgot it got better with more hours on it.
  13. Well I can say for sure my 09 doesn't have the quiet muffler. I don't notice it being to loud when I ride it, but when I let my son ride it and he revs it like his 125 it's pretty loud. I might try the quieter muffler sometime.
  14. I've had both an 07 & now an 09 3.2 and they both started with no problems. The SPS carb makes the bike run a little nicer, but the 07 ran pretty darn good to. If your bike has a different carb that would surely be your starting issues and shouldn't be blamed on the bike. You should be very happy with the bike if you get the proper SPS carb.

    06 Crack...

Have you checked with your dealer or importer? Here in the U.S. one of our local riders cracked the frame on his '06 and they sent him a new frame free of charge
  16. That would be it. It's going tp be an awesome event. Of course I may be a little biased since I'm organizing it.
  17. Here is Southern California it's right in the middle of our trials season. This weekend is round 6 of our 2008-2009 series. We are currently in a Jan. heat spell as it was in the high 80's here today. In the summer we get many days above 100, but it doesn't stop us from riding every weekend. Sometimes I think it would be nice to get out of Ca., but year round riding sure is great

    3.2 Vs 2.9

I just went from a '08 2.9 to a '09 3.2. I prefer the 3.2. While it has plenty of power I find it easier to ride and it hooks up much better. Weight also isn't much of an issue with the 3.2. For some it does take a while to adapt to a 4t, but for me it was easy. I have a harder time going back to a 2t. I would recommend to switch.
  19. I had an 07 that I really liked and I am also very happy with the 09 so far. The motor does seem to be a little smoother off the bottom on the 09 (still plenty of power) compared to the 07. Maybe it's because the bike runs a little cleaner off the bottom with the SPS carb or the mapping. I also noticed it seems to vibrate a little less. Extra crank bearing make that difference? Rear shock is a little better than the 08 Sherco's. Beyond that the bike just looks awesome with the red rims and red color scheme. The 3.2 is my favorite trials bike which is why I got another one after a couple of other bikes.

    Sherco

I had this same problem with an 04. Replaced the stator and it never happened again
  21. I had a 83 YZ 80 when I was a kid, have plenty of pics, but sorry it was the U.S. yellow model
  22. I received pricing on the 09 Scorpa's and it includes the SY 250 2t. Here in the U.S. the prices are down a couple hundred from last year
  23. Cool!! I'm even at 3:37, That section looked much harder from the bottom. Thanks for coming out and doing the video

    Taming The 4t

Going off part #'s the cam is only other motor part I see different. Also the muffler is different. In the Sherco RP book they sell a low noise muffler for the 4t. It's an 05 muffler. My guess would be the stronger power comes mainly from the carb and muffler. To tame it down the 05 muffler would probably work good. Part #C657
