Andy
I think I can compete with you again on travel. I'm currenly in a hotel in Korea with what looks like a pretty slow connection but TC is still about normal. I can't say that other than on some very occational slow periods TC has always performed very well. You know my feelings but I'll add them to the floods coming in and no doubt swelling that head of yours. Keep up the good work. I've been an irregular visitor recently due to travel and work but should be back on line again more ofter now. Look out Donald.

Come hell or high water, I'll make it. Matt and I are staying in the West End again. I guess you'll be up at the Ben Nevis.

Boof
First of all how are you doing down south?
Mark Grant observed last year (silly buggers riding this year). Matt and I sometimes came across observers cars and vans up dead end roads running as close and possible to the sections. I guess you'd be given a meet up point for your fellow observers and a map showing the nearest entry point. This means that you can drive the majority and just nip in or join the route at an easy point. I think Mark rode a fair way to some sections though, which is what your looking for.

Great find Andy. I'm hoping this is a **** take but I've heard some real Ausie politicians speaking to the press like this before. To be honest I'd love to see more real interviews like this from our guys when dealing with stupid questions from the press.

I wouldn't seal the drain flap closed. They don't self seal very well BUT at least it gives somewhere for any water that does get in out again. A trick I was told for the SSDT has stood me well even in some very deep water. (Aberfeldy 2 day 2007 ) Cut a small piece of spunge and fit it deep down in to the bottom of the airbox on top of the drain flap. This will stop water getting drawn in to the the box rapidly and also catch water coming in anywhere else stopping it sloshing around but allow it to drain back out.

I'm not usually one for posting warnings about potential scams but I had a close call yesterday.
I walked into B&Q hardware store at lunchtime and some old guy dressed in a black shirt with an orange apron on asked me if I wanted decking.
Fortunately, I got the first punch in and sorted the b..... d out.
Those less suspecting might not be so lucky.

If you do decide to go around and speak to him I'd recommend you pay for Bikespace's expenses to tag along. A lovely guy but I doubt many would argue with him.

You dont need to fill the bloody thing just put a little in the tyre spin it round a couple of times to spread it out and allow it to vapourise a bit then light it and jump back. I'd have to say it does leave a little burning on the outside of the tyre but it soon stops. Good way of burning off the molding spikes. Sometimes i've had problems and needed to have another go but generally it works. Don't however try a new dunlop. The beads are just too close together to provide any seal on the wheel and all you get is a little fire in the rim.
-
I've done this plenty of times on the trials bike. Not only does it bead the tyre quickly it usually inflates it to around 5 psi. Petrol from the tank works if you're out in the woods. All you need is a lighter.

Maybe you've all seen this before but I found this on You Tube. Can anyone help with rider identities. Any old TC guys shown here.

The fuel (oil) price being high is a great blessing for many tens of thousands of UK employees (oil workers).
I agree that the tax needs looking at but personally $100/barrel is just fine. It ensures my job security and my film star wages.

Am I the only one to feel cheated when clicking on sweaty heaven only to find if was confectionery?

However to put the record straight, both myself and DJ Denzil were born North of Yorkshire!!!!

Pointless asking me, I was too drunk to notice who got put to bed
Where's Sue when you need her? or did you forget her camera was out after I got you back to the camper?

Dunno 'bout Atlanta but I'm pretty sure he's p*ssed off a few people in the DFW area.
Never been to Atlanta but have p*ssed off US imigration & customs people in plenty of other US airports. Imigration detention cell at New Orleans brings back some fun memories.

I'd agree both clubs are within reach and both are good clubs. The two clubs run at different types of venue's. Inverness has some very spectacular venues with long laps where Bon Accord have a lot of smaller venues offering a good range of section types. I'm Bon Accord through and through and know you'd be welcomed by all. I'm sure Inverness would offer the same warm welcome (they cater well for youths too which Bon Accord struggle to do due to lack of youth riders).
There is a Bon Accord club trial this Sunday at Colpy just of the A96 through the Glens of Foudland. It should be sign posted just south of the Morgan McViegh's (sp) resturant. 11am start. Why not come alone for a look or even bring your bike, join the club get a day licence and ride. The venue is very compact in a disused quarry. You can walk to all sections in a few minutes.
I'll probably not be there but make yourself known and you'll be welcomed.

John also did an interview on CNN and they asked how he restrained the guy and he said "me and other folk were just tryin to

I wouldn't try your bike on Jet fuel it won't burn. JetA1 is basically very clean (no physical contaminents) parafin. Someone will probably come back now and tell us all the breakdown of the fluid and its NAS class but basically diesel is much closer to jet fuel than petrol is.
-
Yes I agree its 100% Pro. The TXT and Pro are nothing like each other so there's no doubt at all.

I would just like to thank the Perth and District Club for the trial at the weekend. The event was initially cut from three laps on Saturday to two then the second lap was scrapped as so many retired and the main burn became unrideable and the climb from section 2 up on the moor became a serious challenge. (I know of at least one rider who took an hour to get up that 200 yard hill.) This then led on to Sunday being cancelled altogether as the rain continued to fall. This was followed by a mass exodus from the camping site as it began to look like Glastonbury. Even with a down hill run from the back of the field we couldn't get out without the help of a bunch of pushers and Fergus in his 4x4. Luckily there was a dry area at the nearby Menzies House where a whole pig was on the spit roast.
The club had done a huge amount of work to set this up and its a great shame that all the effort was for nothing. The only consolation for those who stayed was the great party at Menzies House on Saturday night. Great food, live band and a bar. What more could you ask for at the end of a very tough days trials?
Thanks to Perth and District Club, observers and officials.

What a great trial shame about the weather cutting things short. I'm at the barn dance just now and having a few for you Andy
-
I rode one once many years ago and thought it was trying to trial a big crosser.

Bought my tent today Jen....all set now! Tent, check. Sleeping bag, check. Vodka, check.
Mairi, You should put something hard in the bottom of your sleeping bag (no jokes please) so you bang your head on it and get back in the feet first this time.
Sue, I can only agree with part of your statement. I don't like vodka but dont mind the other.
