  1. Just don`t put the filter in backwards.
  2. I said not as long as posted. They last way longer than Honda recommends. Read the manual for your self. Got a pile of 4 RT top ends. http://www.overlandtrail.biz/Manual%20Montesa%204RT%2005.pdf
  3. http://www.trialspartsusa.com/ is the parts importer from day one. The `95 is a great bike, but the early ones had potential to have bad cases. I would look into what month it was made and contact a dealer or importer. The early bikes tried water cooling the center cases. I would ride the bike till the fan worked or not buy it.
  4. The 4RT are very fun to ride (Though on the heavy side). If you do not plan on hopping much and just want a carefree ride. The top-ends do not last as long as the posters say. But it all depends on care. Buy a clean one with low hours, not a clean well used one. You are on a Montesa forum and the Honda lovers never lie. Check out what Honda says about maintenance intervals.
  5. It`s supposed to be centered. I do not recall the older bikes using hex heads, but all the pictures the bikes have the disc guards on. Maybe need to find another to have a good look at.
  6. Take a look at its physical appearance. It`s not flat like a trials tire. Which means less traction and they can rub easily as the knobs stick out at a strange angle.
  7. Watch this whole clip. This little Gal has more skills than most today. From the Joan Crawford show 1965. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=VQBbHzypBro
  8. You actually need the titanium header pipe also.
  9. Click on the Sherco forum and try the pinned link.
  10. Just connect to your car or a charger.
  11. Sharply with the clutch pulled in or just trying to give this beast too much too fast.
  12. The first time I saw the water trick was Tommi Avilla start a brand new bike out of the crate. Once started he did the water trick on the brakes. He did a trials school for the weekend. That was all he did to the bike. It ran like **** since he never jetted it, but he rode rocks we only dreamed could be ridden. Been a believer in the water trick ever since. Good enough for a world champ, and it has always worked for me.
  13. Brian, do not buy one for your new bike. That is NOT a trials tire. Might work on a small trail bike.
  14. Never saw Dougie with bar risers. Ride it.
  15. Depends on the club. Only a dozen or more can actually do this well in this country. Not only is this hard, but incredibly dangerous when applied to reality.

Dad of two give it a rest. I`ve made more money on the Pro motor than any other bike ever. Some of us need the work. Buy a Pro, It rides great and gives me something to look forward to!

  18. What`s funny is the other top 5 riders in the world are watching Bou and wondering the same thing. Try this one!

I think you are confused with Mark Colomer. Did he not have several transmissions lock up on the prototype and finally quit? Maybe start having dreams about breaking the bars. That`s the worst nightmare of every serious trials rider! Ha! Ha!
  20. A trials bicycle would be the training tool.
  21. Four pots have been done before. Most brakes work fine from the factory. You bought a bike which the brakes worked poorly. On the other hand trials bikes are a very small market, and most riders are by nature cheap! Good luck on the rebuild. Just for your info when the Formula brakes came out, most riders swapped the brakes off the old bike. Some did that several years in a row!
  22. Well at this point I would strip and clean the whole system. Tear the caliper apart and the master cylinder.
  23. It is a bit of a mystery. On the modern bikes we go larger at altitude. It`s been this way awhile. Although 7000ft is not real high. It has to due with atmospheric pressure, totally backwards of reason. The TK was a strange cab though.
