  1. Yeah sure.....and go to very average brakes, very average forks and a left hand ks. 🤪
  2. Ours broke too on the 300. Replaced it with a Jitsie lever
  3. The snr and the jnr 80s have the same frame. The difference is in the wheel size to make a smaller bike. Never had a problem with the stock fuel tap on ours.
  4. You have already answered your own question.
  5. Note that the rear guard is cracked up bigtime and by the looks of things a throwaway Chinese pitbike master cylinder on the front brake. A Beta rev 3 is a good choice as a starter bike as virtually all parts are available ex factory.
  6. I never considered the rev80 a loud bike. Unless it's never had it's muffler repacked or a top job done on a high hour engine. On ours I cut off the old mount and welded on a solid mount from 6mm aluminum. The dumb rear frame guard/ muffler hanger I welded up once after lending it to a nephew who promptly went out and crashed it. If I had known it was going to break again after I had sold it then I would have added some extra triangulation into it to give it some proper strength. The whole design needs a big freshen up and rework as it's mostly all 20+ year old stuff and it shows.
  7. Guessing here. Looks like the new parts have have more slots and cutaways to allow more oil into the clutch so I wouldn't use the old parts even if they are in spec. As for the rest...nfi!
  8. Kids grow like mushrooms if you feed em. At that age a 125 is the go. None of the 80s are much chop anyway.
  9. Best spot to answer your question is here... http://wdtc.org.au/training-tutorials/rocky-ground/
  10. And sometimes you just find one particular brand or model ticks all the boxes and makes riding easier and your ability to gel with it is dead easy. Sometimes it's not a tangible thing.
  11. As you progress in ability and skills so do you requirements as a rider. The stock Beta Evo is a great bike to start on but you have most likely simply outgrown it's capabilities Any Tech fork and Braktec equipped bike is going to make the stock Beta bits look a bit sad, especially once you start hitting higher grade/level stuff.
  12. Common knowledge that all balls stuff is best described as total shyte 💩
  13. And the Moose EZ3 perch and lever assy will give you more leverage and more braking power.
  14. Hrtdoug is on it. You need to sand the high spots off. And then once you have done that you need to centralise the shoes by spinning the wheel and hitting the brakes hard a couple of times to centralise the shoes before doing up the axle nut. Make sure you keep the brake on while doing up the nut. This is assuming you have a good cable with no friction, a properly lubed cam and quality shoes and a decent lever and perch
  15. I found the jitsie website keep up to date
  16. Hansen and Hippel racing do a 2 mil larger slave cylinder than will fix your problem. Two springs out works too. Did that to my last bike with zero problems
  17. It time to go recheck your work again. You have most likely screwed up your reassembly of the clutch
  18. Nah. Just run a few lines of silicone on the backside to protect paint. After a muddy event I will pull them all off to clean behind but we don't see much mud in Australia 😆
  19. Nice find. Don't forget to load it up with some protection before you head out. I put fork swingarm frame and exhaust guards on mine and it still looks like new underneath
  20. The rev 3 and Evo clutch do have a narrower range of engagement compared to other brands. You do get used to it rather quickly and if you don't then swapping out the clutch slave cylinder for a larger diameter one will give you a more progressive engagement and lighter feel. Don't really rate any of the four strokes as quiet tho. Just bear that in mind. The Evo 4t is the quietest. If you still learning, then setup the Rev properly, keep it for a year till you gain valuable experience and then move up to a fresh bike
  21. I would put a lot of money on the exhaust being totally clagged up. A bike that old is guaranteed to have it's central exhaust box full of carbon and unburnt oil.
  22. I had an 06 for my kids. The stocker cracked. Replaced it with a guard off an 11 or 12 if I remember correctly. All you had to do was drill two holes to match the Rev 80 front guard bracket.
