thanks curly, why do you need an evo disc? the rev 3 disc will fit in so is it not just a matter of spacing it out then?
-
could you possibly get a picture of how its done? is the spacer in the disc side then?
-
rev 3 wheel wont fit an evo, is there a kit now available then, i made my own mods and broke the hib so id like to see a picture of what someone else hase come up with
-
everyone thinks every new bike looks crap when it first comes to light , with the ( im guessing) demise of scorpa another manufacturer is what the market needs, albeit i think they are pricing themselves out of the market?
-
in the early days there were a few s models with plastic tanks, not saying thats what yours is, just stating a fact
-
dell i have an 08 mudguard on mine, and i must admit its a lot better looking as the colour matches the rest of the red bits
-
a spacer behind the disc wont work as it pulls the caliper out of shape, it is possible to machine a spacer and fit it in between the sprocket and the hub, this works until your hub breaks when your going up a hill which happened mine
just edited to say that the disc will fit in the caliper, it rubs against is slightly for the 1st few minutes then clears itself
I dont recommed modifying a rev 3 wheel as i am speaking from experience , although each to their own
-
i think they are a really lovely lookin bike, have never seen one in the flesh
-
i remember that model, gas gas had a bad reputation back then
-
i thought the fortuna was 94 but i was wrong
-
any beta owner should go nowhere else for their bits, next day delivery and stock of everything
-
yes the 08 rev 3 i had was a great bike, to which i put 90% of that down to the keihn carb
-
dan you have just explained to me that when i had my 06 270 i thought it was a great bike, moved to the 07 270 and found it an animal, this prompted me to get an 08 250 which was the best bike i ever had
slowly but surely im getting onto the evo a bit, but its a different kettle of fish all together
i think you are over the top in how you clean your carb out tho, i never take mine off
-
completly different than the rev 3 to ride and i feel that the 250 has as much poke as the 07 270 i had a couple of years ago
downside is the front mudguard, touch it and it will snap
the rev 3 fork brace needs to be modified to make it fit
-
no they dont
If your clutch does drag the easiest thing to do is just ride off and put the bike into a high gear and put the front and rear brake on
-
looks like the previous user, was using it for road riding, pretty irrelevant but id change those bars if you plan to use it for trials
-
although this is off topic, the way i feel at the moment id happily buy my rev 3 back
-
I dont think Doug will have any problems beating Brown indoors yet, by the way, is dougie doing another season on the outdoors for beta?
-
I take it you had a crash and snapped it then?
-
Its easy to say if you really want to go just pay the price, but spending a week in the isle of man aint cheap when all you really need to do is be there for a 4 days max
Its a real shame and i hope things change in the near future
-
they also killed the manx 2 day trial for me
-
nah, if it works for you guys thats good, il do what works for me
-
i can never get my head around people doing that, why not just seal it up with instant gasket type stuff and then forget about it
-
i think the bike is awful looking, having said that i hope to have one soon
-
that is correct, ****e design of an air filter was the 00-01
