Ssdt Route Predictions
I don't study the route for each day I take it as it comes and just follow the markers. I don't carry a watch either, then I don't have to worry if I'm on time or not, just keep plodding away, you always end up close come tea time.

Hey Fat Lad !
Ok Ralph , 80 days to go now fat lad, got a bike ? Well I sold my 09 250 last week, and been riding the kid's 125 until I get a new bike, once the little popper stopped smoking it ran like a new un, poor little thing has never been above quarter throttle. In the past I have winged it a bit and managed to get round, but I know if I want to get round this year I better get my sad ass in shape. I don't like running or owt like that, so just ride as much as I can, since I will not be getting off the bike too much come May, one thing people under estimate is how far you walk each day up and down the sections, my plan is to limit this as much as I can, mebe once each day at the lunch stop.

Out With The Old ?
Done it myself, seen some good terrain and gone and talked with the land owner, nothing better than running an event on a good peice of new land, but I think the best source for more enthusiasm will be with the younger members. I know I learned by doing, and I think more younger members would step up if they thought it would be their own show and left to their own ideas. Mebe they don't want to sit through meetings because they feel left out and not heared, and instead of saying that won't work, should we be saying here have a go and show us.

Out With The Old ?
Is it about time the young un's had a go at running the local club, I see many old names still doing the thankless tasks they have for the past 30 years and very few young people stepping up for those positions. If trials is to continue, who is going to take on the positions when the older volunteer steps down, I don't seem as keen to orgasnise events, but still want to ride while I can, is there a reason more young folk don't want to be involved with the trial organising side, I know when I was younger I jumped at the chance to set out trials how I though they should be done, made a mess of some but learned how to cater for most after a while. Do we promote getting involved to the younger club members or just keep as is because it

I think those video's lie a bit, it always looks a lot bigger or steeper when your cold p****d wet through and stood at the bottom of it. Last thing he will be thinking about going over the moor will be the gearing, more like I wonder when the next flight to Barcelona leaves from Glasgow .- Gas Gas Set Up For Ssdt- Newcomer
Stay bloody flexible az 54 only flexible part is the one I want to be stiff.- Gas Gas Set Up For Ssdt- Newcomer
I agree with sticking to stock gearing, when I rode the 125 the poor little thing couldn't pull top gear up Glen coe, or any other road work that had a steady climb in it, I just kept going at a pace the bike was happy at, it was enough to get round in time every day. You don't have to be fast to get round in time, but you do need to keep going, it also gives you a little more time to pick your line on the moor if your not going full chat, makes me smile watching a fast kid doing flying W's into a bog- Upside Down 315r
