Yes, looks liks S3 issue or summat. I am sure this bike has WAY too much power for me! And where did those forks come from/?

I do not have complete info on any of this, yet apparently the stock float jet on the dell is now smaller(pressure fed via pump), in 200-225 range, and will not flow enough to support road trials or long climbs. Increasing the size to 250 may provide enough fuel(i may recall others such as Splatshop Chris stating larger as the 300) but then one may get into a situation with the downhill slosh and pressure surge that the larger float valve may have difficulty with.. Seems Chris had mentioned just how critical float level was on the VHST, yet did not put a spec to it. I fear the same with the standard carb. Word I got seems to indicate that the Kiehin handles this much better, and I can only presume that would go for the OKO as well.

To add, if one is taking the bike down the road, (road trials) one might want to up the float jet number. I have no idea what they are coming with, but one report suggested the #250 was sufficient. Yet this is a balancing act.

Chewy, seen your vid and bikes smooth. I would not bring timing totally back up, yet still 2-3mm back on the plate from std. I would suggest you go with the standard Boyesen config first, which means no standard plates, and let themflow a bit more. As from a 2.9 platform, I cannot give you a direct comparison, yet it has allways seemed to me that the boyeseens seem to provide a good kick in the mid range as the secondary opens and where you need it. Perhaps you could remove one plate?

    New Sherco

Where did THESE forks come from?
  6. Based upon your middle readings of 641,0,772, you need a hall sensor. Splat can supply an exchange I think. This is not a re-wind, but a hall sensor breakdown. And luckily easier to detect, providind your reads are accurate.
  7. Fuel pipe routing can be critical to keep it off the muff and no kinks, make a "loop" and route it forward towadr and just away from the cyl, then back up/ over and down to the carb inlet. Takes about 6 inches as I recall.
  8. Oh, for smoothing, try the Boyesen reeds as stated. I seen Tryals Shop had some #665 reeds in their clearance section for $20, listed for old Beta Techno, same as what you might want to try.
  9. Think I would leave it, as that is likely it's exact purpose!
  10. As a take-off of the "I (heart) Trials" theme, I call this "I (heart) Three's"!!
  11. I can give you a couple things to try on the Dell. Your mileage may vary. You might try the 38 pilot, where is your fuel screw set now? Get it below 2 turns with bigger jet. Take out your choke jet to #70-80 range for better cold starting, as in BC, you will have cooler ave temps. A simple drill bit of 3/64ths will take to #80 as equiv as I recall, little ventured! Needle clip still in 2 or 3 groove. I still think that on average rider status, the 26 OKO would be the pick if one desires to vary!
  12. Yes, it has been done as stated, yet if you want to smooth it, probably not the best bet! Add the cost!
  13. Did you do SSDT, is that you Rich?
  14. That is the second time I have heard of that with the V-force. A bit scarey. Have you tried the Boyesens?
  15. Mental homodulation! You need the sewage pipe thread
  16. Seems as I did fear, Baldilocks has los his wood on the last day and Katy has overtaken him in the standings at 136 v 139!!!! Although the PW class is still a respectable position, it will never be announced other than here! All we shall hear is how he beat Eddy LeJeune and Dougie! God help us! Billy hund in like a trooper, for a 159 spot! Good going!
  17. Got some of the new RYP gloves, and I like them! Like riding NAKED! For those who like THIN and next to nothing!!!! Good on the grips, yet thin and tactile, an spandex on the backs, so no protection there, but many do not need it. Cost less too, at $25, makes them right, what is that? 15 quid? I liked my XC, but! at a decent price, these things are near disposable for me, after a while!
  18. Noel, as this thread goes, obviouusly you did not ride it either, did you look at the pics? Aw, f-it, I'll just send um to you, yet at the same time, I am sure you have a collection you are proud of already! Never too many though!

    OSSA IN USA

Oh, jeez, I see now I got my glasses on! I thought that was the exporters site till I read the fine print that states "Official US Distributor" which I suppose means "importer". Well, anyway, best to them, as I hope they get some bikes out there soon! The '11 will be a late arrival at best it seems!

    Butter Boy!

I can never resist keepin'up with a few of the TC favs for the week of SSDT. Carlos Casas is having a ride! Spot 68! Seems on day 5, TC rider Baldilocks has shed his bananna suit and is just managing to stay ahead of the last Lady rider, Katy Sunter, yet still at a respectable spot of 139 v 141. Just behind is Eddy LeJeune in spot 143! And hard working Mont flogger Billy Craig in spot 162! At this point, If Baldi can maintain his composure and take a win over LeJeune, we may never hear the end of it! Yet at the same time, I fear the 4 piont spread over Katy may not be sufficient to keep the lad from a total PW end to things, as the other girls are out of sight for him! Keep it up lad, good going!
  21. The old batfecker jusy keeps pounding them out! Jolly good band, they do rock! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5JJy8Z4dNM&feature=fvst !
