    Hi to all of you.

The 200, or 2.0 Sherco(163cc i think) is a sweet bike and will perform well, I would think yours at about 2001 model, as not sure the put them out before. I know experienced riders who just love the little gentile giants, as the are likely to do anything you want or need. A set of bearings, seals and gaskets is not too dear, and it is a keeper, unless you just need BIG power!
  2. I seen this post this morning with one eye open. You guys are nuts! Hope you do not kill the poor lad! First thought to mind, "The Destroyers", borrowing from Raga's bs! Yet as the day progressed, it became blatently obvious,---!!!!! T & A Racing (Tim and Addict) Not to be confused with any other suggestive meanings, of course. Not to leave Mark out, but unless you want the "TAMpons", as a name, it just does not work! Not to leave Lamps behind(pun), I would envision a team logo that includes a charicature of him bent over a bike showing nothing but man boobs and plumbers crack! Big smile, of course!
  3. Long story made short, Just get Chris to send you a CDI and a stator to see which fixes it, if you have checked all the other connections. Other than the suply coil readings, the Hall effect readings can be misleading at best, and still doen not mean they will function properly under working conditions.
  4. Tim, there is no such thing as compressed water! Water does not compress! Neo, DO NOT TRY the exploding boiler(blunderbus) method! I was only joking! Really! Now back to Tim's theory, even if you injected water under pressure, what pressure would you use? If you use air over water, the end result would be the same as air only, as the pressure is still equal. To do this(cold)one would require a hydrolic pump to force the fluid in under pressure. Something will give(weakest point)and likely to be the end plugs blowing out before the pipe gives. Sharp edge creases and dents are unlikely to be effected as well, as the edge actually reinforces the area.
  5. Then you should have bought a Mont a long time ago. The 250 Evo should be sweet, though!
  6. Once again amased they are excluding(other) twinshock riders still, just nuts! They just don't get it!
  7. One would think, in Ham's case, one would be unlikely to get one, so one must be in toutch with one's self if one wanted one! If the left one brought the right one, he could have one hell of a time with that one! I am one to talk!
  8. Now this is really getting scarey! Go ahead, put some water in it, plug the engs, then get the section cherry red! (do NOT try this!!!!!!!!!!!!)
  9. Well, there you go! No, plugs do not know what gear they are in, but they(and the rest of it)can react adversly to higher engine loads(in higher gears) as the internal pressures increase and must be overcome it creates more demand upon the ignition. In a jicky plug, the electrical path will divert to least resistance. Thanks for the feedback!
  10. I just do not get it, and I am a master debator!

    UTE Cup

I may need to incorporate this into a trial, with a point per year handicapp for the senior riders! Jon could start off with a good advantage!
  12. This is funny! What did you expect! I think TFT has the best method in mind! I really think these things should be offered on a repair/exchange basis at the cost of them. TI pipes are light, not durable!

    Won't kick over

    The Motor, perhaps!

    UTE Cup

Why does this bother you? This was not in Cali, they do not have to attend to minorities in CO!
  15. Origin of the Condom In 1872 the Arabs invented the condom, using a goat's lower intestine. In 1873 the British somewhat refined the idea by taking the intestine out of the goat first.

    Coolant Weep Hole

This is true as I recall, shaft may vary depending upon exactly when it was built.
  17. Only one of these I have ever seen fitted to trials iron was on a Scorps/ Yam 4t 125 or 175. Maybe not a bad deal if you one wanted one like this with long range seat and stuff. Include the dandly beer holder on the left bar end! Though I found it a bit scarey! They may well make one for the 250 4t motor !!!!!
  18. Thought being, he may be getting a bit large for those rev and go things, and would not last long. If he wants to learn to ride, surely there is a way to teach him the clutch and gears, and the Beta and Gassers and such with a real gearbox and or full size wheels seem tough as nails and will last years. Still gentile at 70-80cc.
  19. After retiring, I went to the Social Security office to apply for Social Security. The woman behind the counter asked me for my driver's License to verify my age. I looked in my pockets and realized I had left my wallet at home. I told the woman that I was very sorry, but I would have to go home and come back later. The woman said, 'Unbutton your shirt'. So I opened my shirt revealing my curly silver hair. She said, 'That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me' and she Processed my Social Security application.. When I got home, I excitedly told my wife about my experience at the Social Security office... She said, 'You should have dropped your pants. You might have gotten disability, too.'
  20. There should be a little ground terminal wire on your CDI unit that goes to the mount. Be sure it is clean and tight. Many complain that spark is hard to see on a trials bike, yet generally this is because the plug gap is small, and the room is not dark. In reality, they will throw a long spark if one uses a special little tester. Should cover a good 6-8mm gap if i figure correctly. Have not directly tried it on the bike, but have done it many times on other magneto based systems. They must be able to overcome the added resistance of the air density under compression, which in this case is at least 10 times that of normal atmospheric pressure, thus let's say .250in, out of the motor and 1 atmosphere of pressure. Seems they are rated at about 20k volt as i recall.
  21. Whatever the reason, stressed induced, impact, or loose axle, I would just have it professionally welded and machined to spec. The arm on ebay may well work, and fit up to '06 style, yet is still incorrect for the year of the bike.
  22. Hammer, basically in answer to your question, The PHBL 26 Dellorto is the AK-47 of carbs, it is tough, durable and just works, add works well if one spends a little time and effort with it. Which is why it is the widely used standard. The Kiehin, (or OKO being a cheap copy) is like an M-16, they are a higher precision metering device at lower openings, yet may require a lot of maintenance and care in adjustment, cleaning and such, and may vary more on the day. The top end power can be a bit better with the 28(big bore), yet still that is a trade off as finer adjustments on the lower end of the spectrum(where we mostly ride) then become more difficult. Which is why our's set on the shelf. Unless you just have a case ov "Tinker-itis" like a few of us, you will find both time and money better spent on getting your dellorto working as best it will, and riding the crap out of it! There is not THAT much difference! The Kiehin/Oko also has some disadvantage in fitment. They are a bit taller and wider , and really do not like to go into the limited space. Pain in the butt!
