  1. Yea, right, I was made better a bit back when even Big John admitted that he was getting too old and out of shape for an attempt. I do need to get out for a ride, yet it is getting hot now, so morning ride is all. Another month and we will be stuck in the 100's f.
  2. Allright, just so you understand, ME sitting about listening to some deep voiced harry legged male vocalist blog out some ballad does nothing for me! And if you want to build some heat in the tea kettle, set it on a low simmer, while you are enduring some Chic Flik and trying not to fart for two hours! Huggy, kissy, rubrub! After putting up with all that, your chances will improve dramatically! Then another 5 min and you are asleep! Simple! Strong female voices with range and talent seem rare, Whitney was always a man killer! Those other little whiney girls ? Well, yes there are a few good ones out there. Take Dolly Parton's take on the same song, made her millions, try it ! Anyway, another from WhitneyHERE andHere then figure how many singers take the movie hits into the millions, even more rare.
  3. Scotch, uh? Yea I clicked on the FB linky!!! Holy crap, I have never seen that many white people in the Apollo Theatre!!!!!!! I have to admit though, although fluent and capable in many dialects including redneck, hillbilly, midwest, yankee, getto, mexican, and getting better at Russian, Aussie/Kiwi, Saffers and Liverpolians, the Scot's just throw me back to the point I do well to manage half of it at times. Same with some Irish. I will have to find BC,, for now I am back to Larry the Cable Guy!
  4. This runs along with all that other politically correct BS! > An economics professor at Texas Tech said > he had never failed a single student before but had, once, > failed an entire class. That class had insisted that > socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one > would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said > ok, we will have an experiment in this class on socialism. > > > > All grades would be averaged and everyone > would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one > would receive an A. After the first test the grades were > averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard > were upset and the students who studied little were happy. > But, as the second test rolled around, the students who > studied little had studied even less and the ones who > studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too; so they > studied little.. The second test average was a D! No one > was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around the average was > an F. > > > > The scores never increased as bickering, > blame, name calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one > would study for the benefit of anyone else. All failed, to > their great surprise, and the professor told them that > socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward > is great, the effort to succeed is great; but when > government takes all the reward away; no one will try or > want to succeed. > > > > Could not be any simpler than that.... >
  5. Not an Obama fan either, but things are what they are, and Williams is still the best. Makes me want to make my other "political" post!
  6. Not sure about the song itself, but Celine put the bite in the movie, scenes on the bow, awesome. clicky
  7. This song has been done by many, but this old(now) version will still bring you to the edge!

    2010 Sherco

Yea, they make fine trials bikes too! There was a you tube clip on them somewhere? Trialing!!!
  9. Mike knows what he is talking about. But i will add that a bit has to do with just how hard you are running the bike. Just general playing about at the trials stuff, you should be fine. Running it harder like an enduro bike would be different due to extended high revs. I have run as high as 100:1 in the watercooled bikes for years if just putting about.
  10. Go visit with Ron Lee
  11. Best I can recall, my 98 Easy had a ducati setup, and basically the regulators and rectifiers are shared with many manufactures over the years. I think it ws the same basic system on my 98 Beta Alp, as well as the Shercos. one or both may be the same to this day. As I recall, lights and fan all work off the same source, and yes the voltage will vary with rpm , yet the fan requires a change to DC in the circuit, which is done by a more squarish box that includes the rectification diodes. Fan will not work on AC alone. You can try it on a battery with 12V. Hope that helps,

    2010 Sherco

I have now had time to digest all this information and have just figured out that the aft CG of the fuel tank will more than certainly put me on my ass more than I like, therefore even greater beer intake may be neccessary to balance things out! I am just not sure I can afford to loose any more weight on the bike! All this news is totally devastating now, if I wanted to adapt to another bike I would have bought one. And none of this will help my riding!
  13. I think most all has been said. If the fluid pressure is relaxing going to release the clutch, yet there is no fluid loss externally, then eith the hose is balloning under pressure or you have an internal loss in the MC. If you give it another quick pump, then it holds, I might further suspect the hose, yet if same thing happened, might further suspect the MC. Thoughts, MC

Yea, you see what I gotta do to get this crap done!
  15. If you can move it that far it is good, just hold the brakes and work on your balance, turning the wheel to "lock"your balance again will help. Practice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok Clive, just so you understand that I am not trying to make a point here, I was totally impressed by the fact that you managed to fulfill my request for an XXL shirt last year by having Kip bring it along to the Sooner cup, where I found him standing there with his (big) hand out awaiting payment for the(two0 size XXL shirts) that you managed to deliver! Kip had just woke up and I was not going to argue with him over your mistake(not stupid), yet I still had to deeal with the oversized shirt that did not go to the oversized person in Scotland who just so happens to be one ov the overseers of this site, I had much difficulty finding a home for the other big'un as was previously stated! Allthis is aside from MY shirt which I bought from Kip! So as basically you managed to stuff my shirt order last year, and I may well yet send another to my Scottish overstuffed friend, I want TWO shirts now, both in GREY, so they do not show beer stains! One in size L, and the other in a XXL, fooking GREY! Get it! One for me, one for the friggin admin on this site! Just do it! Then make another and send it to Andy, for free,(may take a XX as well) as this is your pittance, sucker, no free ride, pay up. My payment alone should cover expenses, if not, let me know!
  17. Crap, come on Wayne, this is 2009 for gods sake! People do not do things that way any longer! They just communicate over the internet sending text, pics and audio files! Hell you can do it all from an I-phone and fix anything anywhere for free! The internet is free still is it not! Tons of opinions out there! Pick one! When all the technology fails, just revert back to rule #1, as unfortunatly, none of us have crystal balls or x-ray vision, contrary to popular belief! And I say this after working with many of the best for many years, yourself included. Your son in law is no slouch! I actually found Rule #1 in a contemporary medical text at one point sometime back. It is still a very valid method of operation.

    2010 Sherco

Well it is a feasable, the Greeves frame is a bit much, yet if tube type, it may well look like an Xispa! Ha, payback time! I just hope they do not take too much meat out of the bike for the sake of weight. As there is no perfect bike, there are things I would like to see change in the Sherco's,(andd others) but it makes little difference, as it just seems to me that over time, few of the manufactures are really interested in what the general pub have to say. All the same forces that have driven trials into the wierd looks and no seat opinions from others all along.

Did Zippy pay you to put the Skull and crossbones on there? Hell, I had to trade the the "Extra" one you sent me last year in "extra fat" for a quart of fork oil because my old lady said it covered her butt too much! Ok, then, I want one in size "L" this year, got it! Would prefre grey, an is does not show beer stains as bad!
  20. Yea, agree, as in that case may have slipped a widget!
  21. Gee, do i understand! Get on with it! Best to you
  22. Doubt that, as is new with probable exception of drive gear. Does sound as though the rest may have been a bit botched, and being totally in question now, might also recommend checking the crank in the vee blocks for runout on the weights and shafts. All done later , Cheers,
