  1. I have been unsure about this issue from the get-go. Did not have the '06 long enough to need it, and the '07 is not there yet. Think I would ck and set using the measures rather then the quantities! Before and after! Gonna send this up the pipe to see the results! I think the info needs updating for sure!

    Hummmm!

AND ANOTHER! Bruce is still a RYP rider, even if on a Gasser! Way to go, Bruce!
  3. WoW! Looks like Pat was on the mark today, with sights set on one target! OUCH!(me blinkin backside is bleeding from this kid knawing on it!) A close miss, but! Good showing! Another National season over. Going to miss Bruce, one of a select few to ever get the best of Geoff! He does recall that I think! He and his brother Brent are top notch fellows for sure! Just too darned polite!!(he will probably read this) Keep up the good rides there buddy! And chime in to let us know how you are doing! They do have computers down there, don't they? You have been a great inspiration to us all, and all that stuff!(tear now) A true PRO! Ray P. cannot sandbag forever! Them young kids are killers! Bailey Tucker has the stuff for sure. He is about where Pat was a year or so ago. Would be nice to see him progress! I doubt Ray can blame the bike, his teammate Ron smoked his class on the 4T Beta!(with CV carb at altitude)

    Hummmm!

Of the podium by RYP USA! Remarkable! Good job guys! Need a 4T IN THERE NEXT!
  5. Yea John, but I just looked at the points race! Some things have changed! Big time~ Cody may be locked in #2, and Will is ahead of Kieth now for #4! That means a couple of position changes I think! Get you a nice 250 Sherco or Scorpa John! And a nice new 125 Sherco for the lad, just like Pat's!
  6. Adrian(Lewisport) said $750 for the Ohlins and $600 for the TRP. I think he accepts the quid things, so do the math and add the tax! Est. 400 uk!(no squiggly L here) or 350uk! I am just not sure yet about the stock shocker, it iIS much quicker than the older Shercos, even on click 3, damping is minimal on mine, but rides fine, just seems to float over stuff! No leaks, yet!
  7. Not a bad day for Shaun! He seems the only one with the scores going the right direction! Altitude sickness for the rest! 8. I have them/ use them, seem to work very well in many situations.
  9. Good to see someone brought a camera!
  10. You need to go "IN" with it, all the way right, then back 1,2 or 3 clicks maybe!

    08 Rev 3

Lads beat me to it! Wot did you use to strap the kill button on the fatbars? Someone making something , yet?
  12. Good info Steve, Chime in more often, specially when the 125 questions pop up!
  13. Seen somewhere the motor was touted to be 1k less weight than a Sherco! It is a good motor to copy, they don't break! If I wanted to save 1k, I would just shave down the gears to GasGas spec. ! No prob! The kicker gears on a Sherco are more massive than the primary drive on a Gasser! I'll stick with the reliability over the performance factor for now, thanks! The Chinese will copy anything to make a buck or a quid, cheap! Just wait till you see the cars! And trucks! Hell, even the Japaneese cannot afford to produce anything in country anymore! You need US tech support, Call Ran Yang, or in the UK, call Min Ran Sing!
  14. I would ahve absolutely agreed with Nige, but since he has been on a blinkin gasser for a while, it just does not seem the same and I do not quite know why, but on both the "06 and '07 bikes I have had to go up on the pilot from the #33. RYP is recommending a #38 even, but I will tell you I have been running a # 35 with the timing back 5mm on the plate and the Boyesens. Is is really smooth, if a bit on the lean side(which is the trick) and does not like it when cold off the start. Which makes me still recommend the #36 for most. I had to drop all the way to a 110(sounds stupid I know) on the main in order for things to clear out nicely, and could even go further down, but once done, it revs like a crazy mans bike, like no other I have had, scarey! I really do not know if you want or need that! Certainly does not contribute to long piston life if you take it there much, but the top end power is endless it seems! The blubbering with the stock jet around 118 is a limiting factor for self preservation of the motor it seems. Mine would never clear with a 118! Your mileage may vary! How's yer noggin, m8?
  15. Should be about right with a #36 pilot, but you may have to drop the size on the main dependant on if you want it to really clear out on the top high revs.
  16. Neo, I have no personal experience with the Silko oil. There are many oils out there, some snake oil, some better than others. Being conservative on this issue, I prefer to go by track record, which here at least is supported by a long history of the US importer and many riders over the years. That works for me! Stick with wot works! The Yamalube 2T semi synth, works too, made by Torco, seems Yamaha has found it acceptable. MHO!
  17. Not to be confused with primary gear backlash or other normal noises, I think a bit of rattle on the small bores is pretty normal. I have heard much worse in other bikes, but the simple facts remain that the 125 has to do a lot of work as compared to a big bike, and if you are going to ride it EVERY weekend, 1 or 2 days, some wear is normal.... Try an average MX bike to see how far you get, in the day, 1 piston for every 3-4- outings was average! Good oil and clean air are important, but a piston per year is not uncalled for at that rate! Having two bikes, I ran my 125 from "03 till ''07 riding it several times per year, but not often. Mainly practice. There was a bit of rattle but totally acceptable in my opinion. Could run many more years at that rate!
  18. Good gosh Craig, I say something innocent and you turn it around and get your panties all in a wad! That comment was more about the fact that RYP just put THREE riders on the PRO podium that day. That is pretty darned impressive! Not just impressive, practically unheard of. And although some will p*** and moan, I think it is long overdue with lots of hard work by lots of folks behind it and should be congratulated. So there! I said it, so crucify me! If one guy has a bad day there is another there to pick up the pace, they are all good! But if you want some real Monday morning quarterbacking for what it is worth, my comments to Pat would be more like Good Job, the cat is in the proverbial bag, now go out and have some fun, you deserve it kid! I'm sure there would be somone who would argue about it though! DUH! @ 2 rounds to go, Chris gets to drop 18, Cody may have to drop 21, a tight race for points all the way! Win the war, not the battle! It's all good!

  20. Sorry Chris, no heads up competition in Ty's class, only at the top!
  21. Have not heard from today, but a look at the scores looks like Patrick is locked in for National Champ with Chris a solid second still. Cody in solid #3 but will have a hard time catching up. The good finish yesterday bumped Kieth up a couple of spots, just over Will and Bruce as I recall. It will be a battle between them ! I suppose Diego had to return home to Nicaraugua, a good showing for him this year, and looks like Andrew made the decision to go back to EX class, good try for him though in the Pro's. He won i think, although reining EX champ Ray Peters was not there it seems, he already has the series wrapped up. A tough class indeed!
  22. That is Zulu time! I think!
  23. If you were running hard, up hill, and ran it out of fuel on a hot motor, which came to a sudden stoppage, you may have suffered a "lean" seizeure of the piston and a bit if metal transfer to the walls which later flaked off. They will loosten up after cooling and run, but many times have piston slap if severe enough. I presume it has coolant in it? 2 choices, tear down for inspection or just run it! And see if you can find some Maxima K2 oil.
