You guys should seriously consider that "exchange " program with the kids during the summer months. There seem to be enough bikes to go around, all you need is a bus ticket for the kids! John, Al, Brian, another kid or two for Les, he would'nt notice much difference!
You could rotate for a whole Month!
-
Wait long enough so I can grab the Nikon, Biff!
-
Just how much are you willing to risk for a pushbike that belongs to someone else? Good question!
Even a fireman once told me their motto, little loss= little risk, they do not care if the building burns, it can be replaced!
Doctors are always having to be hesitant, let Anything go wrong and they will be the first to be sued, only ones with money and insurance! Makes no difference right or wrong! All a bloodletting by the legals! Like a bunch of vultures!
Don't worry, they won't bother if you are poor like the rest of us!
-
Sounds like you are getting the full tour Chris, along with the better parts of the rocky mtns on the way! Enjoy! Take the scenic route!
I hope you don't have to drive back out in a nother week to bring the boys back, like Les!
-
No, actually I tend to totally agree with it! But the problem is there will only be a couple or three that would even try!
Let them go for it! And take it out ov the National round scores totally, just let them ride!
Just seeing the top US experts get waxed by a bunch of kids on 125's last year was a good learning experience for all! The level of competition is SOO high! It really sets the pace! But last year WAS tough! I seen a lot of the best riders on the brink!
-
Shut up Darrell, I feel old already!
I hope Chris brought his KOOBKCEHC!
From what I seen, and in all fairness the only head to head comp. with the TX and CA kids was in the top class as things worked out.
You can make check out to TYTA(Texas Youth Trials Assoc.)
Don't feel bad buddy, I'm getting them Mizell kids a little something special, too! New gloves for the top three, Joey, Caleb and David!
They deserve it!
Top job for Andrew Oldar! (my Sherco Team pick)
Not to change the subject, but I failed to see any MichLin photos giving big Al the tounge in the ear! Guess things did not work out, I'm sure Al is ---- dis---er a relieved!

These kids are soo tough it is crazy!
Back in "01 I think, my Novice year(and theirs) in the Texas series, I narrowly managed to beat out Caleb and Josiah in the points race, they were riding better and better every event!
At the annual trophy presentation I said something like "At least they cannot ride the SR class when they move up!"
I think they advanced 2 or 3 classes in that one year following! Amazing! And they were around 10 years old at the time!
They have not stopped progressing!
All the kids on that level deserve the special week out in TN for the camp, it is a special time for them and a great get together and fun experience.(If they don't kill each other with challenges)
Special thanks to Dan and Charlie and Bruce, and all concerned for helping the youth groups! You guys are the best!
I hope you can feed them all!
-
They rode it last time and got beat, go figure!
And I suppose you want to ride the Red line?
-
Neo,
Not sure exactly what you DID based upon the prev. post, but water entry can cause a floaty idle as well!
Loosen the main jet holder only slightly with the 14mm spanner so you do not have to wrestle with it with the carb off the bike.
Pull the carby back off and dump everything into a Pyrex dish( mums glass bowl) to collect it all to see what comes out! Let it settle!
You may be surprised at what you find, maybe not!
In liew of something more serious such as an intake leak or a sucking crank seal, it is best to insure you have covered the fundamentals well and not take ANYTHING for granted! It will screw you every time! Did you check the inlet screen on the carb?
Otherwise you may need real HELP! Sush as another carby or something!
-
Not positive, but I heard they use the same numbers as the Boyesens, #665!
-
Yea, don't send it to Heathy!
I see he is into black with bling, nowadays! WTH does THAT mean ?
-
It may work, but doubt it would be recommendable for reasons stated!
-
Congrats to Cody on the indoor win, I hear he is staying for the youth camp to help the kids along! Great guy!
Spoke to Les Mizell, he is excited the boys did well! All he has to do now is take the trailer home and drive back out next week to get the boys! Whew-- and manage to pay for what they broke all week long! What's another 28 hours drive time!
-
first check the coolant level, the thermo switch for the fan will not work without coolant in the ststem.
The fan normally cycles after about 5 min. running from cold (around 180f water temp i think) . If it does not come on,
disconnect thermo switch and connect wires together, start the motor and the fan should run. This is only a temp fix!
If it still does not run, you have problems!
-
Lookie like a Sherco motor with the carb angle of a Beta!
-
Had a glimpse of this at work but had distractions, seen as NYC!
Forget it, you could die on the street and nobody notice!
They have people to pick u up later!
-
Got a preliminary report, looks like Cody is in the drivers seat!
Josiah won again today at the YN! Go Boy Go!
-
I seen Barry is on. Maybe he knows something!
And besides that, I got some money riding on the Tx vs Cali kids, proceeds to the youth groups of course!
Hey Craig, call Phillip tell him he is looking really good in that Nivea contest thing, and we are both going, along with Wild Bill!
Phil can be the D.D.!

There are some tires that will almost "bead up" by themselves, but many will not, and a few that will not no matter what straps you use. The beading "tool" is the only way to go!
Once you get them to "hold air" you still need to get them to 'seat" properly over the hump in the bead area of the rim. Once again, some will go easily and others NOT! This is where a proper tire mounting lube comes into play!
Same goes for the front as far as getting them to "bead up" and go straight! I gave seen some real ******* cases. And it is not the tire, it is the variation in the rims that makes the difference! A mm here or there will put you off and have you screaming at it in no time!
-
Surely there is someone able to keep us posted?
-
It is becoming blatently obvious that Bigfoot has never pi$$ed off a BBW at the Atlanta airport!
-
Howard has seen some strange stuff and it is possible. I think in that case, if you drain the gearbox oil and measure it, it would be noticably low as the motor is consuming it!
Should pretty much be 450ml in, 450ml out!
I would also normally think that if the crankshaft seals are out on that new a bike, the main bearings are out as well causing excessive movement that the seals cannot seal. So check the flywheel side as an indicator as well.
Try moving the flywheel up/ down and left/right, there should be little to no play. I do not know of an official spec on this, but the bearings start out at .003 in clearance as I recall, add probably another .003-.005 in max allowable wear and figure the arm length to the end of the flywheel, so add .003 more as a general guide. You would have to pull the clutch side cover to confifm on the other side if found suspect.
Usually only excessive dirt and water entry into the motor(air filter) accounts for this type of excessive wear.

Its looking good Phil, and I want Craigs bike!
