  2. i have done loads of them at bike shop i used to work at.we used to heat up until red hot, pressureise with air,and dent pops out.
  3. is that a box of bits left over after building bike up you should have read instructions

  5. thats a great restoration well done for all your hard work,i used to have one of these to go to work on back in the early 70s i paid
  6. messing about with different jets only masks the problem make sure they are correct size to start with i cannot remember the sizes hopefully someone will come and say soon.needle clip should be 1 down from top leave it there.dont buff throtle slide it will change the size.i would check tappets and change plug cap and make sure wires are nice clean contacts, good earth to coil and coil tighten to frame, disconnect cut out switch.if still no good try running without hose to carb, not for too long dont want any dust getting in. try these things first .richard.

    Back Brake

try with bleed screw tight, half a dozen pumps hold down pedal open bleed nipple tighten again.repeat few times job down
  8. cor you dont want much!!! i ran a tl125 miller hi boy frame for many years i used a cg 125 engine in mine much better than the ohc engine i big bored it cost me a lot of money to do,i had to resleve barrel bore out crankcases but was worth it,if you want to make engine brackets best to put in engine line up chain and sprockets and weld up your own brackets. now next thing miller also made hi boy frame for bultaco, make sure you have got correct frame.many years ago i bought a bultaco hi boy without engine,so i modified it for a honda 185 twin engine with open exhausts it got used by lots of people for trials and had a crowd of people following bike round when ridden,i got offered money for it by half a dozen people in the end i sold it and never saw it again hope its not the one you got as engine brackets got sawn of.i seem to remember the side stands on both bikes were hopeless half way along the swinging arm so they proberly got thrown away.richard
  9. looks like a nice bike i had loads of these.looks like it has correct lights that should work,if so keep them 6 volts, put on bike 12v sealed battery like modern scooters have cb4l i think it is,these can be fitted anyway round even up side down, run this battery total lost for winkers, horn, brake light.if useing mainly hand signals this battery will last for days on one charge
  10. try gapping points so they only just open very small gap.put rag over screwdriver to wipe clean points.now try it.then put new points on if runs ok

  13. im not sure if it was the rs or less likely the seeley but many years ago at a open to centre nene valley trial we had a japanese rider and nick holt both rideing together i seem to think this was first time seen in england these bikes,i may be wrong as it was a long time ago.i was into hondas then i still am now.

  15. A BIT LATE NOW,NEVER EVER ADJUST FLOAT SETTING,IN MANY YEARS IN THE TRADE I HAVER NEVER DONE IT.I THINK THATS NOT YOUR PROBLEM SOUNDS LIKE CARB NOT CLEAN ENOUGH.HAVE YOU TRIED HOLDING UP CARB WHILE FILLING THROUGH PIPE AND TRYING FLOAT UP AND DOWN WITHOUT BOWL ON,TO SEE IF FUEL COMES THROUGH ,NOW ADJUST BY EYE.HOPE THIS ALL MAKES SENCE
  16. YOU EITHER NEED CARB OF OLD HONDA CD175 OR EARLY CB125.BOTH THESE WILL MAKE BIKE BETTER.BUT THE CHANCES OF FINDING THEM ARE VERY REMOTE.YOU WILL NOTICE BOTH THESE CARBS HAVE NICE EASY WIRE THAT HOLDS ON FLOAT BOWL,GREAT IF YOU GET WATER IN CARB YOU CAN UNCLIP AND TAKE BOWL OF IN SECONDS.
  17. i dont think its cdi box thats gone i have worked in honda dealership for many years and only come across 1 cdi box faulty that was on a nsr125.
  18. OR IF YOU CUT UP AN OLD COKE CAN TO PUT INBETWEEN SLIDERS AND YOKE HOLES IT WOULD BE A LOT CHEAPER

    Tlm 200

i have a tlm 200 and made it breath better by getting rid of std air filter and fitting air filter in top of air box i used to use rtl250 air filter, but i cannot get one anymore,so i have modded one from honda montesa 314.this mod really works well
  20. hope fully you will join nene valley mcc we have wide range of venues but no practice areas best thing you can do is enter some trials if not sure how to do a section ask any rider 99% really will help you.
  21. try a zip tie holding on front brake overnight
  22. i used to go to kickstart when ever i could it was mostly filmed on a friday so i had to wag of work.it took most of day a lot of standing around.it was done on lord heskith land.coming from towster on dual carridgeway to northampton about 1 mile on left looks like farm entrance.i have lots of photos i took.eddie and his brothers always had odd mods to there bikes.one brother had lead weights on a bracket on front spindle on his honda i think might have been a pre production tlr 250.eddie himself on his one of 360 had lots of mods looking like he made himself.i wonder what happened to the 360,hope honda did not crush it like they did to a lot of bikes.
  23. if you could tell us what town you are from perhaps some one on this site will help you im from northampton so if you were from near me i may be able to help you.richard.
