  1. if there was a problem with valves -loose it will rattle,if kick start went down easy and a job to start they will be to tight.so if kick start was hard to push down and it starts first kick its not a problem with valves,so your leg getting weak is poss the problem.
  2. did rims do suffer from this problem they look ok from outside,then when you do a tyre change its a shock.make sure when changeing rim same amount of spokes,if changeing to tubeless some suitable spokes will need to be made up,try central wheel at coventry they are very helpfull.
  3. its sucking in air through crank seal.if just rebuilt poss seal not home properly.
  4. i agree it most likely stator problem.coil and cdi very rare to fail
  5. engine designers can get more power from water cooling due to getting piston tighter fit in barrel,to put it simply.

    Pinking

    normaly pinking is due to low grade fuel. ign timming to far advanced but you can not change that on modern bikes.air leak at manifold or carb running weak poss air filter not on properly.so first thing check bike,then use proboost stuff in fuel.
  7. i have an old car i used to have trailer but its slow on motorway no fast lane use,parking takes 2 car spaces,remember to take spare wheel,i have now got a rack im very pleased with it highley reccomended,but can not leave car to go for a cup of tea or pee,vans are uncomfortable noisey and check your insurance they think you want to carry goods

  9. do you just have to clean plug or replace it? if bike runs ok for couple of hours it suggests ignition ok,so is carb,are you useing good 2 stroke oil,not rubbish from local petrol staition.im not sure if you are using correct plug ask in local bike shop you go into next time to get good oil.
  10. sounds like flywheel come loose it may have woodruff key thats broken,dont waste your time going down fuel route as its a ignition problem
  11. dont touch anything to do with flywheel.a high speed misfire most likely not carb if it runs well otherwise,if it misfires in neutral at stand still try taking of ht cap get a mate with rubber grips on pliers to hold ht lead slightly away from end of plug say few mm start up bike and see if spark works ok when it misfires,if no misfire replace ht cap
  12. i have artheritus in my hip i have a job to keep going all day at work so i bought glucosamine tablets tried them for a year i found no differance.my doctor told me to have ibuprofen 400 mg a day it works very well.if i forget to take i really suffer.but you must see your doctor before taking anything.

    i think im right in saying some were fitted with fantic type front end and some i have seen had honda front end so honda type must be low type speedo but i wont put money on it.the honda red paint the closest i have used on old hondas can be brought from car shops its daewo red.

  15. ah the lord corad trial its at a new venue run on simular lines to the scotish 6 day.but it will go on for 3 months cost the tax payer millions and end with no score.joking aside never heard of him?
  16. have you tried putting bit of petrol in plug hole?then trying to start up.if it goes you then know if its carb or ign.if its ign possible mag slipped on crank key?
  17. is airfilter nice and clean?try giving it a rev without it.
  18. are you sure its a tl 125 engine fitted to bike? as the early cb125 engine needed a battery to run should be able to tell by engine number just above gear change shaft.if it is a tl have you got a condencer fitted on coil?
  19. sounds like crankseals they have probably gone hard through age.they are cheap and easy to replace so do it any way.normally makes engine run very weak needing lots of choke and uncontrolable tickover normal behavier
  20. this is normal most italian trials bikes seem to have this problem
  21. what makes you think cdi is faulty?i work at honda dealership in 12 years i have only had 1 cdi go wrong. ifyou really need one-try dk in staffs ask for tlr 200 one.
  22. ah i remember kickstart well it was filmed in northampton i used to make sure i had that day of work,it used to take ages to film they seemed to keep taking tea breaks,i was at sheffield a few weeks ago for indoor riders have come a long way since kickstart.a few years ago i sneaked into field where kickstart was filmed i was shocked to find section bits still there paint worn away,i wonder if they are still there?i will go and have a look one day.
