    Seeley Exhausts

Attention all Seeley owners!! I'm in the process of getting some stainless exhausts made up for the Seeley. These are similar copies of the one shown in the pictures. I've run with this exhaust on my own bike for a number of years with no problems after a full restoration. She runs (& sounds) great!!! This is a one off run that I'm getting made and will only include you if you are seriously interested. If anyone is interested in some more details mail me at "stuart at vvvracing.com" for a price etc. Oh, Big John has seen a work-in-progress and liked what he saw!!!

  4. Right this weight thing really is gettin on my t**s at this stage!!!!! Early last year one of the american guys on here weighed all the 05 bikes on the same device..... My apologies, can't remember who it was, but do a search here on the forums & you'll find these results.... Gasgas Pro 70.7kg, Raga Pro 67.1kg, Sherco 2T 72.1kg, Scorpa 2T 73.9kg, Montesa 4RT 73.9kg Beta 74.3kg, Scorpa 125 4T 74.4kg. Granted the bikes had no oil or fuel, maybe the 900cc of oil a Mont needs tips in over the edge weight wise?? Though the 1/3 less fuel it needs to cover the same distance possibly balances things out a bit....... Try one if you can, weight is not an issue once you're not coming from a Raga!!!
  5. Nah, Bou's riding style & 4 banger power would'nt mix <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We'll see at the end-of-season-changearound!!!

  9. Interesting Silencer!!! Nice restoration. Mudguards look terrible IMO though......Really need the "mudpluggers"..... Some interesting stuff in the background!!!
  10. Bad form when they can't get the documentation right!!!! Here's the blurb.....
  11. and the last one......
  12. Over at the recent Bristol Classic bike show in Shepton Mallett, saw this & knew there'd be plenty of you guys interested!!......
  13. Anybody know the link for the animated trials rules that were floating around a couple of years ago?? Cheers
  14. Have to agree with OTF & BJ..... I've come from modern 2-strokes and started riding my dad's cub. Tormented him for ages because in the garden I'd whack the throttle open from nothing & she'd cough & splutter. Fitted a Mikuni & it improved it but for Scotland we have to run the Amal which has the flat spot off the bottom ..... Have to admit, in proper trials conditions I've never had a problem with it, great little bike, doesn't handle, doesn't stop but as Big John knows, well able to flatten Pipeline!!! Even tied with Mick Andrews in '03 !!!! I'd recommend altering your riding style a bit, try let it flow instead of on & off!!!

    Softening A '06 250

I think the suspension just needs to be backed off a good deal, that should sort it to some extent...... No idea about the ignition, will have to call over & take a look. I think the "progressive throttle" on this bike translates as "switch to break grip"....... Anyway, any ideas if there's a thicker head gasket??

    Softening A '06 250

Well it came from JLI through a dealer here, definitely a fast-action throttle. Not sure about the weights, that could make a big difference. Read your report on the test day saying how you liked the suspension. Compared to my 4RT it tracked nowhere near as well & just felt very dead. Needs a bit of work!!
  17. Right........... friend of mine, a good inter rider, recently got a '06 250 after a year on a '05 270. The theory was he didn't want the all out grunt of the 270 so opted for the 250. However it's a terribly buzzy engine, seems to have a powerband just over 1/3 throttle, you know, just where you don't it when in a river or on anything remotely slippery...... He hasn't done a thing yet, is going to try a slow-action throttle this week. Has anyone else found this problem with this bike?? I rode it yesterday for 15 minutes and I was bo****ed after riding it. First gear keeps you in around that powerband, then second gear is just too quick in the tight stuff, so we're looking to soften it a bit. Is there a head spacer available to drop the compression and take that edge off, or has anyone played around with retarding the ignition?? Any info gladly accepted!!!!
  18. No problem at all. Towed 1,2 & 3 bike trailers with a 1 litre for years.
