    First Time

In the UK you can't ride a motorcycle on the road until you are 17. The SSDT has a lot of road work so you must be road leagal. If you haven't passed your riding test then you will be limited to a 125....Pass you test and a 300 should be OK.

    First Time

My 17 year old son has an entry at his first attempt! Bike (125cc) is being registered taxed and insured (MSM includes cover during the trial and very reasonable cost). Entry fee (
  3. Yeah that socialism thing is really taking off then we can all be poor together...
  4. Ignore and ride...."Factory Kev" once told me he takes em off and wires the rain setting in permanently (he'll probably contradict me now I have written this). I honestly can't tell any difference but apparently on the "sun" setting you get a few more revs at the top end.....
  5. That was awesome, but the rest of it was rubbish (IMHO); when they all five the section 2 feet in from the begins cards I don't call that entertainment
  6. Hysteria???? look in the mirror!!!!

    2012 Formula

I've noticed Browny's brand new 2012 gasser he rode at Sheffield Arena has AJP's fitted...says it all really

    2012 Formula

Apparently they look good, but blow seals and calipers flex.....
  9. Well said that man; I have ridden in a trial today under stop permitted rules and frankly its pathetic to watch...stop, balnace, hop, roll back at least a foot (300mm for the stop permitted brigade), hop again, balance, wobble, put a foot down (repeat three times). Whereas my goodself being a pretty poor "O50" clubman rides the same section with a carefully planned dab....
  10. Couldn't really help you with that one Woody, but Timps had a dab on mine when all the aforementioned (excepy Hemmo) went clean. Hopping and bopping wouldn't have made any difference on my section cos there weren't any tight turns just a tricky climb up a steep rocky gully followed by a steep drop back into a river and a few ins and outs and ups and downs.
  11. Results from Hillsborough's Yorkshire Centre Trial last Sunday, observed no stop...and very strictly on my section:1st Richard Timperley - 6 (National Expert B runner up), 2nd Jack Cholloner - 7 (WTC Ace, Euro Champ etc etc and the next "Big Thing" in UK Trials), 3rd Ross Crosby - 8 (Yorkshire Center ace hasn't really pulled any trees up but a good handy expert), 4th Chris Pearson - 10(Multi Novagar champ), 5th Dan Thorpe -11 (100+ National wins and THE NO-STOP exponent) and behind these Messrs Crosswaite (15), Disney (17)and Hemmingway B (17). I think that NO-STOP worked very well on this occasion: Let the arguments commence....
  12. Try HD Racing....a site sponsor; they do an exchange service
  13. Readers....don't be fooled for one minute that Mr Dabill et al are deserting these shores because of the introduction of no-stop. They were leaving anyway to take up the challenge of competing in Spain. Good luck to them 'cos their rules bear absolutely no resemblence to the WTC so I'm not sure what they are going to learn there.
  14. Ban radial tyres....keep tread and tyres size as is. Simples
  15. Alexz, I have every sympathy with you top lads wanting to compete on the same level as the Spaniards... but they went in a completely different direction with their "open free" formula (and I'm glad I don't have to observe that), but has it worked?....No. I also undersatnd that the French have gone no stop and the Italians will probably do the same. No stop might not be the answer but from where I'm stood, pointless hopping and blasting up massive steps has lost its appeal.... you can all do it. No one seems to lose any marks going up the big stuff its the naggery rocks, muddy climbs and tree roots that steel marks. I think the main thrust of reverting to no-stop is that you can ease the severity of the sections (and attract riders who would have previously stayed away) and still make it a challenge for the top lads. Time will tell. Good luck next year by the way
  16. I think you'll be surprised how many of the younger generation including youth class riders want no-stop....I know of several top class youth riders who are all for it (and some that are not cos they think they are going to be the next toni bou...but they won't be 'cos they can't beat over 40 vets at club trials)
  17. Absolutely spot on....
  18. Just read a press realease on another website and apparently there will only be two routes presumable Championship and Minders
  19. I think we'll have to wait until the section plotters have done their bit first before we cast judgement on its success. What would be interesting would be to get rid of the support class routes and make every one ride the champ route.
  20. Jeeeeez...another thread on no-stop!!!! But you are correct NO STOP and sections will be set accordingly with no need to hop into a rut stand for 10 minutes changing into second, then third, then second then neutral, then second...then you decide you're not quite lined up so you hop half a nobble left...'kin ell drives you mad...just ride the bloody thing!
  21. Jeeez another thread on no-stop...can we discuss no minders instead
  22. I see Yeadon Guisley are going No-stop next year...
  23. Yes it will be SP from the B6057 in Dronfield and the B6054 in Holmesfield. http://maps.google.co.uk/?ll=53.296876,-1.478176&spn=0.02688,0.084543&t=m&z=14&vpsrc=6
