Love that Trickey...Jonno Richardson is obvioulsy crap as is Rich Sadler...Oh and Browny and Dougie... and Austermuhle!!!! Ha what a load of cobblers Mr Telecat writes!

Agreed, a lost art...replaced by a thousand hops

Another problem with stop permitted is that it flatters the ability crap riders (me included) with a lower score than would otherwise be the case if they had to ride no-stop. Lets face it with stop permiited you either have to go backwards or bail off to get a 5. Trials is all about being in control of the machine and stop permitted whilst in theory rewards machine control if undertaken feet up actually benefits poor machine control when you are permitted to foot, have a breather, chat with the observer, have a fag etc etc...

And your point is? For your information I run our club trials and a National so I am fully aware of what it takes to get a good entry and it has little to do with stop or no-stop rules. There are three main factors that govern the size of an entry: (1) Calendar congestion especially in our centre with more trials per weekend than you can shake a stick at and (2) The trial venue & (3) the reputation of the trial section plotters...

Limit their entries???? 100+ compared with how many in a BTC with Champ, A , B and Youth support class???
-
They're good enough for Raga et al 'cos they only use them once and then sling em in the bin...fact. I would never buy one for the same reasons given on this thread...
-
Older as in older than 17!!! These trials are mega popular and I would hardly call Ben Morfitt, Sam Haslam and Ross Danby etc "old"
-
Only 6 BTC rounds but loads of S3's, which speaks volumes about the direction trials is heading in the UK. Not officially published yet as it is still being circulated to the clubs for comment

Provisional: 18th March, Otter Vale; 27th May, Scarborough; 12th August, North East; 7th October, Mansfield Maun
Its about time they ran them with the Adult Championship.

Just got a copy of next years National calendar...ONLY 4 A&B Nationals. Doesn't auger well for future world championship hopefuls. Whats going on?
-
As did James Toseland..East Midlands Centre TY80 Champion in 1992 (ish). I know this to be a fact, 'cos my lad won it in 2005 and JT's name is on the trophy and he confirmed it when we met him at Brands WSBK in 2007

splat pegs from splat shop...'nuff said

Jimmy, been on an 08 Raga for 3 years and going 4RT after having ridden a couple (one brand spanker 300 with Termignoni pipe etc etc and a bog standard 08). Plussssshh suspension offsets marginal extra weight, can't wait to get on ebut like rocking horse poo on the 2nd hand market
-
Good point(s) well made., When oh when will the FIM wake up to the fact that we cannot sustain the "lavish" lifestyle of the WTC. I helped run a BTC Youth round at Bracken Rocks last weekend and we tried to make it look like a WTC with taped sections. Cost naff all to set the sections out (apart from time)....what more do you need apart from car parking for yer van (if you can't get yer artic into the event ...tough ******* luck!)
