Works EVERY time for me, piece of p***. Just make sure you whack plenty of grease into them rollers, cos they come with margerine in from new!

If Dougie & the ACU together can't muster up sponsorship for such an effort then British involvement at WTC level will just be a sideshow for ever, which will be very sad. I saw both Michaud and Colomer in Scotland and both were wearing "Manager's" bibs.
PS, I didn't say BSB was funded by the ACU. What I meant was that when you go and see a BSB Superstock set-up (i.e support for teh main event), it must cost 10's of thousands of pounds a season to run; my point being that with the ACU's "clout" they should be able to muster up a fraction to put half a dozen youngsters on the WTC road show even if its only the Euro rounds.

Constructive criticism: Didn't even look at the "trade stands", very poor; The entertainment from messrs Colley & Saunders didn't do it for me, a push bike trial demo would have been different (remember Sheffield a few years back?)or David Knight doing the downhill on his Katoom; Glad I didn't pay for VIP 'cos I couldn't see the added value from what I saw; Oh, and by the way, the bit I went to see (i.e the Trial) was spot on.

Just an observation, but he fived the section several times before he even left the ground...reversing is a FIVE no matter who you are and on the last section (the jump) Dougie and Browny tackled the big step (after they failed the jump) by going in the reverse direction of the section...

Just seen results from Devon and noticed Wiggy was a no show. Has he jacked or what?
-
As you said "p*** up in a brewery".
-
Just enjoy the bikes...sunny days are just a bonus. I always expect the worst then you dont get dissapointed

Hmmm.... If you haven't got the tools to press out, then I would use the dremel method: VERY CAREFULLY cut two slots opposite each other (trying to avoid damaging the bottom yoke or stem), but not full depth of the shell and then, with a cold chisle placed securely in one of the slots, give the chisle a good whack. In my experience the bearing shell will "shatter" and job done

I had same problem six months ago on my 2008 Raga and temporarily fixed the holes with araldite. Guess what? still riding it and no sign of a leak yet. Just cleaned the alloy with white spirit and applied l blobs of araldite liberally to the holes. I had 4 bars with holes in!!!!!

I read the scores on TC the other night and was shocked to see so many exclusions for missing sections and from riders who I personally know would not have "got lost". Having read this thread I can't beleive what appears to have happened given the vastly experienced organiers and helpers. Just an observation, but this is usually a two route (expert & clubman ) national but this year it was badged as a Normandale Traditional trial. Now I have riden one or two of these Traditional trials in recent years and I have to say that the final instructions have always left me wondering which route I am supposed to be riding....In my honest opinion, the ACU need to issue better guidelines to organising clubs as to which routes each class is supposed to ride. IMHO at this level 50/50 just adds a level of confusion we could do without.

Hot air gun to heat up the alloy and plenty of WD40. Press out with suitable size socket(s) in a vice worked for me on my gasser

Spot on...Jack knows his stuff...best quote of the night: "...Iain Robinson from the Buxton brigade" I p****d myself when I heard that.
-
Please note that the Dronfield 10k run will be taking place and the roads around Dronfield Woodhouse will be closed between 10am and 11am, including the road from the Sainsbury's roundabout. So if you are planning to ride the Mansfield Maun Trial tomorrow, I would advise approaching Eadens Fields from Barlow (Barlow Lees Lane) or Holmesfield (Cowley Lane).

Don't you have to SORN it each year and Swansea don't remind you?
-
Whats the rule on minders?

I don't know if its just me, but have I read the new rules correctly for A&B British Championship Classes this year: A & B ride the same route (Route A) and A class (and presumably B class too) who want to ride less severe sections ride Route 'B' on a no points basis. Seems to be a good idea to boost entries but IMHO the ACU have missed a trick by not making the 'B' route a sub-championship like the adults have. Just my opinion...

Stop whinging, get on with it or go do something else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Gas Gas 2011 125 with very sooty plug...unmolested carb and clean filter. What should I be looking for?
-
Tell us something we don't know. For f***s sake why all the secrecy, I've known this for weeks. And tomorrow we are going to have an announcement about Dougie, which I'm guessing will be....Yep GG
-
Araldite worked for me, just make sure the base metal is really clean and oil free. Been running mine for a few months now with no sign of leaking.
-
Theme tune should have been Bob Dylan ...."Times they are a changin'.... Looking at them sections now how many of you are saying "I could have cleaned that!"
-
Thanks for the advice. I think totalshell is right. Looking on IOM Gov website it says you can't drive/ride in the IOM with a provisional licence issued on the UK mainland. Oh pooo. He'll have to wait another year.

Try Hillsborough MCC Club website or this link (if it works)
