As we're in the strong hold of a Brutal Recession now is a great time to go shopping for a decent Twinshock for well under a grand,if you haggle well then maybe you can pick one up closer to
-
Neither of those cables look like Venhill's,Press Here you will see the 200 and 240 don't share the same part number, there is a very slight diffrence between the 2 cables,it might just be the case who ever made your cable(s) up has cut the cable off to long, get one of those screw on nipples and experiment with your old cable by cutting the cable to better size. You realy should'nt need an adjuster on top of the one supplied with the cable.
-
Or you could wait for the DOT Specials that are coming through.
-
Sounds like they have sent you the 200 cable, can you get a pic up of the new cable.
-
No Paul,at the time i was looking none of the known Fantic peeps here had one,but they did inform me that if i do find one it would cost alot,i was going to bodge something up,even that costs if you consider the time you put into bodging something. It just happened a week later i was in Spain for Cabrianes and there was a big artic from Italy there full of TS Fantic stuff,Evan Lee Harris would of creamed he's pants if he saw what this Ital had on the back of he's wagon, anyway i was so high on the fact that this lever cost me just 10 Euros i forgot to get he's contact details.
There comes a time when you invest so much money and time into a TS it comes to a point you just would'nt get your money back if you tried to sell,i guess this is how so many find there ways to the back of the garage.
I would urge the Dealers of TS spares to keep your prices realistic to keep the TS movement real.
-
Hows it said..."Everyone can afford to buy a Jaguar but not everyone can afford to keep it on the road"
Parts for some of the Twinshocks are getting very expensive in the UK.
I bought a rear brake pedal in perfect condition for the 200 off an italian fantic man for just 10 Euros,Now here in the UK you could expect to pay

Would be worth looking into your carb abit more.....Is your air screw working ok.???
-
God knows RTM,your just gonna have to play around with it.
-
You did'nt put your spacer back in then,if not pop it back in and ty again.
-
Theres a diffrence between one person riding he's way to work on a bicycle trying to keep as far in as possible so not to be a pain in the a*** to other road user's,then you have the poser Dickheads bunched up on the lanes thinking there riding the tour de france, these are the ones causing danger matey.
I thought they could only ride 2 abreast and when traffic comes from behing they should go into single file.
These posing racer Dickhead types deserve all the abuse they get. There riding on adrenaline and as we all know your in your own little bubble when that kicks in,this is ok on race tracks but not public roads where car drivers have to pull out into an oncoming lane to overtake and cause a possible head on smash with an oncoming vehicle all because the bunched up bicycle riders hav'nt got a clue whats around him.
-
You can have fun with these donuts, when you finally get past them stand on your brakes and look in your mirrors, your be laughing all day long.

Free words are allways the best words, however if you don't know how to put those words into actions then the free words are worthless.
-
Who's importing them into the uk??
Looking on the web the trail stops at sandiford's or are dealers ordering the bike from spain and it comes through the post.
-
Im guessing any Honda dealer taking on the Trial bike will be sent down to Honda UK Chiswick,London. (thats where it used to be anyway) for a couple of days training.
Crikey it's no big deal,it's just an engine in a frame and a couple of wheels.
-
All the early mono's must be starting to reach there premium classic collectable status.
It seems a good mint mono would be edging up to
-
The 2 gassers had swingarm related problems i believe, looks like there still having problems with them.
-
I can see it down the job centre now with the adverts saying only Unreliable Applicants need apply.Oh god i've just come over all faint someone might give me a job
-
If it's stopping when hot your LT coil needs replacing aswell,if the coil is wrapped in brown paper it's the original coil,it's to old to play. I would treat the bike to an HT and LT coil.
-
The easy way to find out if you need the spacer is to take the spacer out fit the cylinder back on with out the head and bring the piston to TDC if the piston sticks out the top of cylinder you have your answer.
My 156cc cylinder has the 185cc suzuki conversion, because the gudgeon pin hole on the suzuki piston is slightly lower the piston sticks out the top of the cylinder about 3mm,in this case thats why we need a thicker spacer at base.
Have you taken any measurements of the bore.

Messy.
I would say leave the wtc indoor format as it was the old way,if the FIM want to generate more excitement to pull the public in then they need to introduce more side show's at the sart, inbetween and at the end of the main event. We have enough decent riders outside the wtc crew that could come in and put on a good race/freestyle type riding, but that brings another problem these guys will want a wage for being there, one day someone will come in and pump aload of cash into Trials so it can run propaly, not in my life time i expect.
If the Fim continue to mess with the indoor this year the riders may as well stay at home and concentrate on the outside.
-
It a shame honda did'nt do a 2 aswell as a 4,makes you wonder just what honda was hoping for.
Honda placed there bet and rather lost out this time around.
-
