The name could of been the tv stations idea, thats the trouble when outsiders get involved with a sport.
-
-
Yes your right, thats a strange recorded message.
-
There's some very suspect riding going on in norway 82 @3.26
-
The rise and fall of Honda/Montesa.
That would make a good film
-
I fancied a ride this weekend but the Start time is so late,A 1pm start at this time of year is abit pointless in my view.In summer you get away with afternoon Trials because its dry,but this time of year you'd spend more time cleaning the bike up after than you would riding.
-
Nice shirt at @2.43 think i'll order one of those.
-
-
I understand BVM are hoping to have one at there test day 11th nov 2010
-
Why don't you post on the forums PM sent to blah blah??
-
Oh no,we're banging this old barmaid again.
I would be more concerned if people wer'nt trying to make there old bikes better.
-
Sounds like you have a frozen crotch i mean clutch,if bike been standing long time the clutch plates stick together, whack the case off and have alook at plates.
-
Maybe your chosen sport should have been tennis.
-
The 200 is a very boring bike when it come's to wanting to mod them, there really is nothing to be done on them to make them better.
-
Turps,i have an old HT Coil which i know sparks from the red and white 125 engine swm going spare,if you find out if there the same coil as the 320 get back to me.
-
It underlines the fact how important it is to have observers even at Trials such as this, the same situation could arise all over the UK every weekend at any Trial if there was no observers, some riders can't be trusted to keep the sport of Trial True when scoring themselves.
Would the Monkey have tried this if observer was on section.
-
Dont you just love these old sheds.
If electrics, carb etc etc are all original then there all be knackered or close to it.The harder you ride it the more chance one thing will fail the other thing.
Sounds like your having.
-
Can we please post in the right topics.
I thought we was going to have an exciting discussion on WTC riders changing machines.
I can hardly sleep at night now knowing BOU is going to Montesa and RAGA is going to GasGas
-
If there newish bikes then they probaly wont even stay in the country where stolen.
No matter how much we love our bikes there still only material objects,i believe carol nash will insure off road bike for fire and theft,i would rather have some notes back than a molested bike.
-
I would echo with what MartinM is saying.
The majority of people are Trials rider's,I for one would rather ride than watch,i also have enough old crud sitting in a garage so autojumble would'nt of been much good to me no matter how big or small it is,basically the reason i did'nt attend the weekend was because i could'nt bring my Twinshocker with me.
-
-
Even the modern bikes we have now are being reworked on an old design.
With a 7k price tag you would want all the lightest strongest materials worked into the bike im not so sure you could get a one off bike built from ground up for 7k with all quality parts and a completly unique engine, you would also have a problem with spares.
If Fantic bring us something i got a feeling they would'nt want to give us the budget end your hoping for Wayne,Xispa tried this and failed.
If a modern Twinshock came along it would need to be of it's own character completly diffrent from the past range of models.
-
Well Wayne,
If it was my party i would like to think i'd have the balls to bring Trialsworld an all new modern day Twinshock, just think what they could give us with whats available today.
Drum brakes that pull like disc's,cable controls that operate as light as hydraulics,an awesome aircooled motor in a light weight frame, enough meat on the body to give it some way out curves,a real retro look and feel.
Money wise your probaly look between 6 to 8 grand.
It would also be nice to buy a new part straight from shelf at a reasonable price instead of going all round the world buying high priced rust.
The only people that can turn trials around is the maufacture's of the bikes, well now you got me sitting on the moon Wayne.
The Italians arn't known to copy so what they might bring will be the best.
-
I hope not,im expecting abit more from Fantic than them giving us something they first showed us 4 or 5 years ago.
-
Word is out Fantic Motor maybe producing a modern trialer,im praying to God there's not going to be a 4 stroke yam motor sitting in the frame.
