  1. If it comes to it the Trial bike manufacture's would need to come together on this one to design a system which is universal with there diffrent engine specs,as you say if they go solo on this it would be cutains.

I would welcome a lunch break at the 1 Day Event's,Infact i don't bother turning up to the 1 Day Event's any longer,there's no worse feeling than going back to the car park half way through the Trial to find half the car park gone.Im eating dried up cheese sandwich whilst the other's are tucking into a roast dinner at home.Then you feel you have to rush the other half of the trial incase they lock the gates on you. So it's not just the younger one's they need to keep they need to keep the older one's must be a worry aswell. Anyway the sport has become more expensive for me because i now have to travel and stay somewhere for the night for the decent 2 dayer's. I would love to stay local and support my local club but no way without a lunch break,chill people.
  3. This is the stay or go age for sure. I went,so did many other of my peers at that time,today i reconise just a handfull of name's of the same age as me that i used to ride with when riding schoolboy. It was the Beer and Fairer sex plus at 16 you could ride a bike on the road,so now we get our buzz of riding a bike everyday,instead of just every sunday. Even back in the 80's Trials bike's were changing design,probaly more than today.I don't think it's the lack of money keeping the young teens away,there probaly lashing a hundred quid up the wall every friday and saturday night. The secret behind keeping the youngsters is to make them feel there in a trendy sport,i don't know how the hell we do that,we have our fair share of old stick in the muds in this sport.

I think you can include Alex in those names,when he was riding the TRW 4T he's results did'nt seem to be as good as when he ride's the 2T,people that are out looking to buy a new bike pick up on this. When people say it's because the price is to high to pay for a new 4RT thats rubbish,if someone really wants such a bike there pay for it,dare i say for the clubman rider the 4RT is old hat.

  6. They sure know how to make there bike's classic before there time. With a warehouse full of new 4RT's to sell and they have there 4RT part's under the heading of historical part's,this amuses me.
  7. Thats the word i was looking for. They could buy and run there Team from some of the interest they gain from the Honda millions in the bank. Don't let's forget alot of people still don't get on with four stroke's so the 4rt isn't the best Trial bike for rider's and thats what counts at the end.

If i was Honda wanting to clear my factory floor,i would bring all the bikes in under Honda and force every Honda dealership in the country to take one,it sounds like this is what Honda wanted to do with sandifords still onboard,but Honda thought wrong. I bet Honda would have a mass of rules and regulations they force onto importer's.

It tells me sandifords would of lasted about 6 months if that. Did you buy your 4RT because it's a Honda or because it's got Montesa written down the side. Why did'nt they do an up to date 125cc 2 stroke. Sorry too many questions with this crowd. I should add,i have nothing against Honda but some of there intention's seem abit hollow to me.
  12. Oh well. Honda is a company built on greed. GasGas,Sherco,Beta are companies built on passion for the Trial. If it was'nt for the 3 European bike maker's we would have no modern day Trial,just take that thought to bed with you tonight.
  13. Who know's what the like's of Honda are thinking,The big name's like Honda allways did have a habit of coming in and out of Trials as they wish,you would normaly see them gone when the money dried up. Im surprised Sandifords hav'nt been on here to say Untrue.

    Mmmm. Think we should learn by past experiance,something that's coming up you wont hold down. Maybe give the monos come twinshock there own class,atleast there will be more money coming into the classic trials side of thing's,that has to be a good thing for us surely.

  19. Why would they want to waste there best year's messing around in junior's,would'nt they be better off getting onto an Enduro bike and getting further and much better money riding Enduro. This is something i can't understand with Trials,how can someone in there 20's be a junior,a junior means they are a boy or girl,there not they are a man or woman.

Yer but there's no point having spectator's if you hav'nt got the rider's,No stop at a WTC still won't give you the mass of rider's to keep a mass of spectator's happy,it's all gone down the road to far for a straight NO Stop format to work at a WTC. Whatever rule they use at WTC level club level will still use whatever rule they want to use. As we've already heard on this forum rider number's at club trials are healthy in the UK.

Who did'nt like it i wonder,just the 6 guy's riding the WTC at the time,why would it bother the top guy's what's below them as long as they have there big stuff to ride..Are we starting to see the fact that the handfull of top rider's and factories don't want every tom,dick and harry messing about in there WTC section's.If this is the case then that's a big shame.
  23. If the WTC want a full entry again then the gate system would be a great idea. I don't believe the WTC going back to the standard non stop system will give it that full entry there looking for,they may aswell just keep it as stop system. So yes maybe what the FIM are dreaming up for the WTC won't be the standard non stop that we know of old.
