Peter Knight has retired, unfortunately, he was fantastic. Gearboxes as said are very reliable generally. Only seen one post ever on here with a problem, and he was a plonker. So as much info as possible and we will try and help.

This covers it pretty much. Trials is very physical, it will take time to get bike fit.

Take the pads to a good bike shop, they should have a book with 1:1 scale drawings of pads and will hopefully match them.

Is that not true of any sport, in reality the people at the top are in a different league so not " relevant " to the average rider ?

Is the plug wet ? Have you changed the fuel ? Have you changed the plug, again ?

Electrics can be affected by heat, particularly condensors and coils.

This might not be your problem, but damaged reeds WILL stop it running.

Have you tried a new plug ? Is it the correct one ?
