i did it in 79...but not as short as one above, i would suggest you strengthen fram some how Reg used to do this on the later bikes so removing the loop would definately be needed

if they are albea rings.......have a look on 315 owners page on FB lots of experts on there. If the rings were new im assuming they are the eastern european made ones, as the genuine ones are so rare they are unobtainable, i had a guy fly a good second hand set over from canada!!!

I and others have had problems with jitsie mixture screws (kehien) so be careful if you go down this route (not just jitsie either)

theres numerous ways to get tyres on, but as a simple device the beader cant be beaten. Any other method requires this or that, we have put a michelin on a rim with a foot pump using a beader.

Agreed. Ive changed mine to straight through club foot as hate the look of the wes. Vazquez changes the clubfoot internals too, so it cant be that good or else he wouldnt bother to strip it and remove baffles.

ive had 7, all standard fork clamps at top and all bing. later ones have only one bottom pinch bolts

If you're in a position to change the head steady to a late 3 point aluminium, cheap and very good mod.
