250 4 Stroke
The 4-stroke Scorpas at the SSDT sounded good but I saw one of the riders fitting a new silencer/exhaust on Thursday, it seemed to have some electronics attached - bet that was expensive!!!

Begginers And Wobblers
The easy route in a normal trial can vary quite a bit from club to club. The trial I rode last week where I rode the middle route was quite easy but looking at the easy route I considered it much too testing for beginners. When setting out I personally make my sections easy, as I think a rider can always try the harder route if he is bored or 'untested' A guy with alot of experience who I respect suggested a good middle route rider should be able to ride the easy route comfortably whilst seated - and I reckon that is about right!

Sales!
I agree with most of what has been said I reckon that the bike gives four-stoke lovers a competitive machine at most levels and for them, if they can afford it, thats great. Any normal rider who judges a bike by its indoor performance only I think would be a little naive!

Scorpa - Engine Query
We run ours on about 65-1 mixture and that seems good

I'm Crap At Trials!
Do not worry about being 'crap' I was for ages but eventually got up to a satisfactory standard just by keeping at it. I found I progressed most when I 'taught' my son to ride and actually started looking more carefully at how each stage of a section was attempted. Good Luck

Classic Off-road & Twinshock Show 25/2/2006
Quote: Funny you took a piccy of the Mecatechno. So did i. Now that was a tasty bike. Very well put together and thought out. Anybody rode one? How did they go? I seem to remember 'Original' used to ride one of those in his younger days - he could probably tell you.

2 Bike Trailer
Our trailer 'expired' on the way home from a trial yesterday. Luckily we got both bikes back to base safely but now we need a replacement. Has anybody got a reasonably priced one available for sale at the moment? in the Southern part of the country.

Scorpa Sy Slow Puncture.
Why less grip with a tube???? Have run a tube in a rear Scorpa tyre since bike was one week old, because of slow leakage, with no problems and plenty of GRIP.

Jitsie Products
Motomerlin have Jitsie products on their website.

Scorpa Sy Slow Puncture.
You could always just 'tube' it.

Weight
'Just one thing, don't forget the weaknesses when you say how great this bike is or any other'. Weaknesses? Are there any?
-
Weight
Just because a bike is not used or successful at World level is not really relevant to us normal riders. Not everbody likes the feel of the Scorpa but it is user friendly and well built and there are alot of riders having good results on them at 'normal' level. :hat:
-
Weight
Scorpa certainly does not feel heavy when being ridden!
